Doubravová, Běla ; Rovná, Lenka (advisor) ; Urban, Traian (referee)
Diploma thesis "Spain on the Way to Equal Opportunities of Women and Men" analysis the changes of Spanish society from the point of view of elimination of the "traditional" women's and men's roles in the past 30 years. Spanish Kingdom is known as a country full of machos and oppressed housewives. But today's situation is totally different. Spain is among the states with better than average women's participation in politics and civil service. Spanish homosexuals can get married with the same rights as people of the opposite sex. Not only parit y, but also fight against gender violence and equality in all of the spheres of life has been the priority of ruling party PSOE for the last 5 years. Although the change had started before the arrival of current Prime Minister Zapatero in 2004, mainly thanks to him Spain can be compared to Nordic countries - examples of equalit y. Enforced catholic moral, gender-separated schooling and persecution of homosexuals were replaced with equal opportunit y, reconciliation of work and family and elimination of gender-based violence laws. How did Spain become a country where today gender equality is the government priorit y, after 40 years of regime supporting the strict division of gender roles, family model of man being a householder and women taking care of many children...

The Effect of Consumption of Ethanol on Formation of Fatty Acid Ethyl Esters for the Purposes of Detection of Residual Alcohol in Blood
Strachoňová, Jana ; Fürbach, Martin (referee) ; Střítecká, Hana (advisor)
Blood ethanol is a widely accepted marker for recent ethanol intake (within the last 4-6 h). However, the rapid elimination of ethanol from the body nearly always makes it impossible to assess ethanol ingestion beyond the most recent 6-8h. But serum fatty acid ethyl ester (FAEE) is detectable in the blood both when ethanol is presented and long after ethanol has been removed from the circulation. For this FAEE should be better marker for prior ethanol intake.

The sentence of imprisonment has besides undeniable positive also some negative sites, which can be minimized by various alternatives of this sentence. Hereafter I already deal with individual punishments. The most extensive chapter discusses community service sentence, which is a second most frequently imposed alternative punishment. Substantive law and procedural law presumptions of its imposition are analyzed, as well as postponement, suspense and refraining from this punishment and its regulation in a new Criminal Code. Poverty, foreign aid and self-help
Jonáš, David ; Chalupníček, Pavel (advisor) ; Mládek, Josef (referee)
This diploma work analyzes two different approaches to "fight" poverty -- foreign development aid and self-help in communities. First part is concerned with international poverty and its dimensions. Second part concerns with ideas, background theories, goals and adverse effects of foreign aid. As an alternative to foreign aid, self-help in communities is analyzed in next part, with its advantages and shortcomings. The two approaches to development are tested on Kenya's example. Major task of this work is to compare the two concepts and try to decide which one conducts better in development. Outcome of this work suggests that foreign development aid fails to fulfill its goals and has many adverse effects on a recipient country (including Kenya). On the other hand, self-help has usually direct impact on conditions in which poor people are living, therefore is more effective in figthting poverty.

Improving Services for End Users Using System Center
Toman, Martin ; Havránek, Martin (advisor) ; Ladislav, Ladislav (referee)
The weakest part of the process of preparing the new computer for users in the company Linet is long and hard installation of the operating system using tool Clonezilla, and then manual installation of required software. In addition, if the software update comes out, it needs to be installed on all computers manually. It is therefore necessary to find better and automated way of installing updates and preparing computers for users who will get the device earlier, software will be always up-to-date and IT staff will have extra time to solve other tasks. The company uses only the Windows operating systems from Microsoft, therefore was chosen a tool from the same company: Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. For testing was used virtual environment Hyper-V, in which there were created two servers: one for a functioning domain infrastructure and the other for tool Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. Functionality was tested on Virtual stations Client#. After verifying the functionality of the tool it will be deployed into infrastructure of the company Linet.
