Optimization model of hydropower plant
Kršiak, Oliver ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation measuring instruments and program for controlling model hydropower plant intended for laboratory use. The first step is to improve the mechanical performance of the original model of hydroelectric power. The second step is to select a revive measuring instruments for electric values of the plant. The third step is to create a program for displaying electrical parameters and control the plant. The final step was re-measuring the operating characteristics of the generator model hydropower plant.
AC current sensors
Hašpica, Štěpán ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
Aim of the bachelor's thesis is to anylize chosen types of AC current sensors with focus on design of one chosen type. Sensoring of AC current can be done for instance by current measuring transformator, Hall's sond or Rogowski coil. These ways and types of sensors are disscussed in chapter no. 2. But main focus of thesis is in finding one definite algorithm for current meassuring transformator. New possible way in design is in-depth disscussed in chapter no. 3. Current meassuring transformator, or other types of sensors finds great application in area of power energetics and electronic engineering.
Scooter with a BLDC drive
Doležal, Lukáš ; Kozovský, Matúš (referee) ; Veselý, Libor (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on a design of a propulsion system for folding portable scooter. The BLDC motor is used as a propulsion. The thesis deals with the design of electronics for sensor control. Motor is controlled by six-step commutation method. In the practical part of thesis the controller of current is set and functionality is checked.
Robot Controlled by PIC Microprocessor Unit
Heřman, Petr ; Luža, Radim (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describes design of a cheap robot. It includes implementation of firmware of low level control unit based on microcontroller PIC. The firmware drives motors, gains sensors data and communicates with the high level control unit. Furthermore the thesis presents realisation of connection to the robotic operation system ROS and its standard structures allowing usage of existing packages for the robot teleoperation and displaying sensor data on the remote computer. The thesis finally reports experiments with the robot. The constructed prototype is the model of the robotic lawn mower, however the whole solution has universal usage.
Compact inverter for BLDC motor
Nevřivý, Tomáš ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Procházka, Petr (advisor)
The work describes the design and implementation of compact inverter for brushless DC motor, which have mechanical power 600 W and rated torque 1.6 Nm. Motor is designed for DC link voltage with value 300 V. The focus is placed on the cost and simplicity. On this basis, the inverter is designed for uses single purpose power and control circuit. The power part is solved using a circuit FSBB15CH60C. The circuit is placed on a separate board of power electronics. Cooling of the power circuit is performed by the surface structure of BLDC motor. Control of the inverter ensures circuits LB11696V and NE566. The both circuits are placed on separate board of control electronics. Circuit LB11696V contains a control algorithm, as well as protections, which are necessary for safe operation of the inverter. Power supply of electronics is performed using step-down converter from MYRRA company.
Current sensors
Vaculík, Vlastimil ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma theisis deals with the theoretical analysis of the known types of current sensors, including for example, current transformers, shunts, and advanced sensors using Hall sensor or Rogowski coil. Subsequently, the rest of the work deals with the issue of current transducers with Hall sensors, without using a ferromagnetic circuit. For optimal currnet measure and overall precision, several possible options are designed and calculated. This includes number of sensing elements and distribution of sensors around the wires. Based on calaculation of magnetic intensity, related 3D charts ale plotted unsing Excel software. These charts illustrate the theoretical calculations of field distribution around conductors for various number of sensor. In the last part, components ale designed for practical implementation and scheme of electrical wiring. According to this scheme there is PCB designed as well. Whole current meter ir practically build and its results are compared with theoretical assumtions that are discussed in conclusion part of this theisis.
Sensors for non-destructive testing of the structural size of products
Makówka, Tomasz ; Murina, Milan (referee) ; Rez, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is aimed at use of sensors for non-destructive testing of the structural size of products. More specifically, it is ingaged in magnetic poin-pole method and magnetization method for point-pole creation. The thesis contains design of experimental unit for point-pole method test on concrete material sample and amplifier for Halls probes implementation.

Drive model for EC motor elevator analysis
Javořík, Zdeněk ; Koláčný, Josef (referee) ; Vondruš, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis encompasses the possibilities of position evaluation and drive control with the aid of SMI work enviroment. Furthermore the thesis is directed to create a program through a designed control algorithm. The work is realised on the elevator model with electronically commuted motor. An incremental scanner is used as the position sensor. The motor control unit is set up and programmed in the SmartMotorInterface software. In the next part, measurements with altered parameters are conducted. On the basis of these measurements the influence of parameters on the positioning process and its accuracy is evaluated. At the conclusion of the work, a design of laboratory task for educational purposes is created. The laboratory task is composed in such a way, that students would become familiar with the SMI work enviroment and would be able to practicaly test the setup of incremental position sensor and motor control with the aid of entered algorithm.
Evaluation of damaged components for photovoltaic power plant monitoring
Rataj, Pavel ; Jančík, Stanislav (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with proposal and implementation of a test station for feasible measurement of Hall´s probes, which are used for measurement of extensive direct currents, especially in FVE. The customers are often complaining about Hall´s probes. The solution is specific model of probe, which would be enabling to accelerate measuring of given back probes from working order and evaluation for proper functions of probes. For the final asses we need to compare given back probe with so-called Hall probe. The so-called Hall´s probe will be permanently placed on model and will indicate relatively identical data. PLC made by DOMAT company will compare and evaluate data, whether a difference measured from both probed is acceptable or not.
