Permanent magnet synchronous generator with active rectifier
Michaliczek, Jan ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
The main objective of the master`s thesis was to prove, if permanent magnet synchronous generator made by company JULI Motorenwerk s.r.o. could reach higher maximum active power with active rectifier than with six-pulse bridge rectifier. For this reason a mathematical model was made in Matlab/Simulink. The influence of the rectifiers with various kinds of loading was observed and compared by simulations on output variables, like line-to-line voltage and active power. The simulations were also compared with measurement.
Paralinguistic signals recognition in spoken dialogs
Mašek, Jan ; Míča, Ivan (referee) ; Atassi, Hicham (advisor)
This document describes the three methods for the detection and classification of paralinguistic expressions such as laughing and crying from usual speech by analysis of the audio signal. The database of records was originally designed for this purpose. When analyzing everyday dialogs, music might be included, so the database was extended by four new classes as speech, music, singing with music and usual speech with background music. Feature extraction, feature reduction and classification are common steps in recognizing for all three methods. Difference of the methods is given by classification process in detail. One classification of all six classes at once is proposed in the first method called straight approach. In the second method called decision tree oriented approach we are using five intuitive sub classifiers in the tree structure and the final method uses for classification emotion coupling approach. The best features were reduced by feature evaluation using F-ratio and GMM classifiers were used for the each classification part.
Simulation of Electromechanical System Control Structures

Construction of motor models is the main topic of this project. Mathematical characterization of AC machine, permanent magnet synchronous motor, separately-excited DC motor, series-wound DC motor, permanent magnet DC motor, switched reluctance motor is also described. Design of models is based on mathematical description of particular motors. Models are created in Matlab Simulink. Each model is implemented in continuous and also in discrete time variant. Selected models are implemented also on processor from Freescale 56F800E Hybrid Controller family. Each model has individual graphic user interface. Besides motor models, there is description and easy algorithm of Space Vector Modulation. Model of this method is also created. Models are build-up into a library, which can be used for simulations and tests of control structures. Results of models simulations are presented at the end of this project. Simulation of models that are implemented on processor is also made in Matlab Simulink environment and is compared to simulation of models that are implemented directly in Matlab Simulink.

The thesis deals with analysis of the PLC (Power Line Communication) system for data communications through powerlines. In the introduction describes the technology of data transmission through the energy network and is divided into categories corresponding with the explanation of the various specifications and features. Different types of coding, affecting the transmitted signal interference and modulation techniques used in a PLC are also described. The practical part is made up of telecommunications network model with transmission channel realized as additive white noise. The model can setup different types of modulation and coding in relate with the signal to noise ratio and bit error rates. The individual blocks settings are described in detail. The model was simulated. The results of simulation are displayed and evaluated at the end of work.
Turbo codes and their applications
Ploštica, Stanislav ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This Diploma thesis aims to explain the data coding using turbo codes. These codes belong to the group of error correction codes. We can reach the high efficiency using these codes. The first part describes process of encoding and decoding. There are describes parts of encoder and decoder. Principle of encoding and decoding demonstrate a simple example. The end of this part contains description of two most frequently used decoding algorithms (SOVA and MAP). The second part contains description of computer program that was made for using as teaching aid. This program was created in Matlab GUI. This program enables to browse error correction process step by step. This program contains graphic interface with many options and display results. In the third part is described program created in Matlab Simulink that was implemented into the TMS320C6713 kit and there is description of measuring procedure. For verification of efficiency of turbo codes was measured any parameters. Some of these parameters are: number of decoding iterations, generating polynoms and using of puncturing. The last part contains measured value and result evaluation.
Modelling of Power Line Communication for data transmission
Kadlček, Václav ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
Thesis deals with problems PLC (Power Line Communication) communication. It is aimed at drawing up a suitable model for testing power network PLC communication. The reader is aware of at the beginning of work with the basic principles of PLC systems, distribution and use in communication networks. Another part of the work deals with different types of interference, which occur in power networks and ways to defend against such interference. For example, an appropriate choice of modulation and coding relevant. As a source of interference in the proposed model is used AWGN channel (Additive White Gaussian Noise). Conclusion of work is dedicated to design and build a model for PLC communication. There are three models designed with different OFDM technology. Models therefore vary between different levels of key mapping in OFDM (QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM). It made a detailed description of a set of blocks that were used to build models. The behavior and functionality of the proposed models for broadband PLC communication was verified in the simulation program Matlab Simulink. Finally, it is shown the comparison and evaluation of results of each modulation.
Algorithms for adaptive frequency hopping spread spectrum systems
Zunt, Tomáš ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Pust, Radim (advisor)
This master's thesis deal the system, which use the Frequency Hopping (FH). Is explained principle those techniques and her benefits and disadvantages. Follows description techniques Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) that used the Bluetooth. Follows description other method for setup hopset such as Dynamic Frequency Hopping (DFH), which used standards 802.22. 22. Is an emerging standard for Wireless Regional Area Networks (WRAN) operating on a license-exempt and non-interference basis in the spectrum allocated to TV broadcast services (between 47–910 MHz). Other method introduces the Adaptive Frequency Rolling (AFR), a particular instance of frequency hopping (FH) that enables the collocated WPANs to cooperate and avoid the self-interference. The AFR uses as input solely the observed packet error rate (PER) and it does not require any exchange of information among the collocated WPANs. The effect of the FR over a longer time interval is that the WPANs use the complete set of disposable channels in an implicit time-division and cooperative manner. Last method described in this Thesis is Dynamic Adaptive Frequency Hopping (DAFH). The basic strategy applied in DAFH is a binary search for a hopset that offers smaller PER. The set of admissible hopsets depends on the total number of available channels and the maximal level of binary divisions. Practical part of the master's thesis describes proposal model AFH, with usage of Matlab Simulink programme. In thesis are described function each blocks a their setting. Simulation parameters can change in simple graphic interface. The model is able to simulate influence of static and dynamic interference in transmission band of two communicating devices.
