The regional integration of developing countries

The thesis surveys the formation, development and the present state of integration process in the three developing world regions -- Latin America, Africa and Asia and the Pacific -- as one of the most significant processes of the world economy since the end of the last century. The first part of the opening chapter presents the issues of regionalism, the second one presents the issues of the developing world. The objective of the thesis is to point out the differences in processes of the international economic integration in the three developing regions, in terms of both historical point of view and motives and factors influencing the integration initiatives in developing countries. In that case the individual chapters analyze motives for integration and disintegration, affecting the formation and development of integration processes in each developing region, and present the first attempts to integration in the area as well as the overall development of regional integration as a whole. Finally, the chapters list current regional groupings, focusing on the degree of integration achieved and the set, respectively achieved, objectives.

The main goal of the thesis is the analysis of regional integrations in developing Asia and their success. The thesis analyses the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, integrations of China with India, Republic of Korea, and Pakistan, and integrations of India with Republic of Korea and Indonesia.
The Problems and Perspectives of Turkish Economy in the 21st Century

The fundamental objective of this bachelor thesis is the complex analysis of problems and perspectives of Turkish economy in the 21st century. Its first part is devoted to the characteristics of economic, social, demographic and politic environment within the Turkish republic. The basic and necessary overview of relevant historical background, which determined significantly the status quo, is also added. The second part of the paper deals with the analyses of important and relevant problems within Turkey and also sketches some possible solutions. On the contrary, the third part focuses on any perspectives which can be traced in individual parts of the Turkish economy and states particular scenarios of future development. To every major problem there is also attached the opinion of the author, in separated part of text. The conclusion finally sums up all the pieces of knowledge obtained and also evaluates the fulfilling of partial objectives. The appendices illustrate and amplify properly chosen aspects of the work.
Business cards and their use in international business

The business card as a tool for exchanging basic contact information plays an important role in international business. The first section of this bachelor thesis deals with the history of both paper and electronic business cards. The first section also describes the formal requirements of business cards, the use of academic and company titles, as well as the use of abbreviations. The seconds section classifies personal, company and diplomatic cards. The chapter then deals with the actual exchange of business cards in different countries. It gives examples of the exchange in Asian countries, in Europe, in the USA, in Canada and Latin America. The fourth part of the thesis introduces some of the new trends in exchanging contacts electronically such as e-mail business card, e-mail signature, CD business card, Poken, card reader, or sharing the contact information with the help of mobile phones. This chapter is followed by the results of the survey designed to discover the quantity, frequency, and general knowledge of paper business cards as well as the new technology.
Indo-Myanmar Relations with the Emphasis on India's Foreign Policy towards Myanmar since 1990

The objective of this thesis is to provide the reader with the information about the change of the foreign policy of India towards Myanmar in the nineties and with the consequences of this change. The historical, cultural, political and economic factors which influenced the development of relations between the two countries and forced India to reassess the priorities of its foreign policy, were analyzed. It provides an overview of different forms of economic cooperation between the two countries. The troubled Northeast Indian region, where separatist groups operate, is also discussed. The last part deals with the Indo-Myanmar cooperation in this area and their cooperation in South and Southeast Asia in general.
Perspectives of the new regionalism in Asia and Pacific

The next part presents in detail the integration of ASEAN - history of cooperation, its attained accomplishments and external relations. The end of the theses presents the most perspective project that are supported by ASEAN.
Japan and new regionalism

Japan is one of the most developed and strongest countries in the world. It is a member of many international organizations and it is becoming more and more active within regional integrations, too. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to follow the evolution of Japanese attitude towards regionalism, based on an analysis of its foreign policy and economic relations. The first chapter explains basic terms and theoretical background of regionalism and outlines the evolution of regionalism in Asia. The second chapter follows Japan in the stage of old regionalism, that is until the end of the 1980s. It concentrates on the post-war development of Japan and consolidation of mutual relations with its neighbours. The third chapter describes Japanese approach to regional integrations in the stage of new regionalism. It tries to explain the reasons for which Japan started to play a more active role in regional integrations and it outlines Japanese relations with several selected partners.
Historical and Political Factors Influencing Relations between India and Pakistan

The objective of this thesis is to provide the reader with an overview of the most important factors that have influenced the development of the India-Pakistan relations. The period of the colonial British India is treated, as well as the consequences of its dismantling. The most crucial conflicts between India and Pakistan are analysed, along with their impact on the mutual relations. The origins of the grudge between Hindus and Muslims are explained in the indo- pakistani context. Having analysed the causes and consequences of the dissolution of Pakistan, the author of this paper focuses on mutual indo-pakistani cooperation, as well as the role of nuclear weapons with regard to the contemporary problems of both countries.
Financial and economical crises in 20th century

The aim of my work is to analyze and describe three crises, which took place in last 50 years. The discussed are oil crisis that was caused by significant increase in oil prices, financial crisis in Southeast Asia, that grew up in a private sector as a result of fast liberalization of financial market and the crisis in Argentina that had roots in a long history of this country. By every crisis I described the genesis, the impacts and the solution or the end of the crisis.
Příčiny finančních krizí v Mexiku a jihovýchodní Asii

Práce se zabývá analýzou příčin finančních krizí v Mexiku a jihovýchodní Asii. Finanční krize v Mexiku (1994) byla první svého druhu v novodobé historii a zasáhla mnoho dalších ekonomik především v Latinské Americe. Krize, která propukla v roce 1997 v Asii, byla naprosto neočekávaná. Cílem práce je tedy identifikovat příčiny vzniku krize, porovnat kritické faktory u obou krizí a pokusit se odpovědět na otázku, proč byly varovné příznaky v případě Asie většinou přehlíženy.
