The protocol of the covenant in Deuteronomy 29

This diploma thesis treats of the problematics of the covenantal protocol in Deuteronomy 29. The fundamental terms the Covenant and the Protocol of the Covenant are defined and it follows by their application and occurence in the Old Testament literature. This thesis includes also the exegesis of the text in Deuteronomy 29, in which the affinities with Ancient Near Eastern treaties, especially the Hittite treaties, were recognized. The structure of the Old Testament covenant follows the classic pattern of the treaty in the Ancient Near Eastern.

Czechoslovakia and Middle European design of thirties

The thesis is concerned with several areas of industrial design in the 1930s, with the main attention paid to technical qualities, functionality, and modernity. I try to portray their reception of the contemporaries, based on the preserved Czechoslovak texts. I depicted only several fields that represent two areas: design products for the exteriors and interiors. Territorial extent is given according to the products' link to Czechoslovakia and its citizens.

Stories of Korean Buddhist monks in the Samguk Yusa chronicle

The thesis deals with biographies of great Buddhist monks of the Three Kingdom Period and the Unified Silla Period of Korean history. The core of the work is translation of relevant parts of the chronicle along with extensive system of comments and footnotes. In this way, we explain the relationship between the described persons and events and the history of Korea and East Asia in general. Since one of the objectives of the thesis is study of Korean Buddhism and the text itself is a Buddhist product, we pay special attention to Buddhist facts. The thesis is divided into three tematical parts: introduction of Buddhism to Korea, monks' travels abroad, the peak of Buddhims in the Unified Silla Period.

Legislation and the institutions of the European Union in the Treaty of Lisbon

Reform of the institutional structure of the European Union contained in the Treaty of Lisbon is in the context of the ongoing ratification of the contract in a very current topic. Bachelor thesis focuses on the comparison of the legislation of the EU institutions contained in the EC Treaty and EU Treaty, on the one hand and the new institutional structures contained in the Treaty of Lisbon, on the other. There is also compared the original text of the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe with the final wording of the Treaty of Lisbon. Further deals question whether the reform of the EU institutional structure contained in the Treaty of Lisbon as ambitious as the previous changes to the legislation of the EU institutions.

The music of Zdeněk Liška for the movie Markéta Lazarová

OBJECTIVES: The work will summarize our current knowledge of the film music composer Zdeněk Liška and create a list of literature on film music complemented with the author's comments. The main objective is a complex analysis of the music in Marketa Lazarová. This does not include the description of the relation between the sound track and picture. The thesis will provide a functional analysis of the music as a part of the structure of the film's expressional devices. METHODICS: The method chosen is a detailed study of available sources on Zdeněk Liška, complex analysis of a wide range of sources on the film Marketa Lazarová (including a copy of the musical score manuscript, handwritten notes by František Vláčil, several versions of the script ranging from the manuscript to a book release) complemented by interviews with close colleagues of Zdeněk Liška and František Vláčil, who were also present at the film production. Another part of the selected methodics is the creation of a system of viewpoints used for the analysis (musical expression, hierarchy of the musical numbers, form of the whole as well as individual parts, use of text, use of silence, use of musical objects internal and external to the picture). Prevention of chronic hepatitis

The topic of his thesis Prevention of chronic hepatitis I chose both because of the interest in this issue and for providing opportunities for Precautionary question this current issue affecting not only professional, but especially the general public. The aim of this work was to give a brief overview of the various etiologic agents involved in the development of chronic hepatitis. The text is devoted to attention essentially only chronic viral hepatitis, which may preventive measures apply most. Other chronic hepatitis are only listed in the Summary and below them are not given wider attention. Preventive part is focused on general preventive measures against the spread of hepatitis vaccination against hepatitis B. The basis for the treatment of this topic was largely applicable legislation governing the issues.
