The aim of this work is to explain the area of applicability relating to the design and development of information systems, describe the basic principles of the design of usable user interfaces, offer an alternative perspective on the proposal of user interfaces and think of how an ideal user interface should look like and whether there are procedures that would lead to a major increase of system applicability and simplification of adaptations of new technologies.

Tuberculosis - re-established problem of European population

Tuberculosis - re-established problem of European population Abstract The main objective of this study is to collect data and to provide information about current tuberculosis burden on European population and to capture the most important trends in development of spreading the infection in the European region in the period 1995-2010. A typology of the countries of the European region is performed on the base of main features of tuberculosis morbidity and mortality in the period 2008-2010. Detailed analysis of level of tuberculosis morbidity and mortality for each region was based on available data. The study also presents the plans of major world and European organizations to eliminate spread of tuberculosis.

Slovakia and Euro in 2009

Object of this work was to characterize impacts of Euro implementation on economy of Slovakia. Work is explaining the background of entry of Slovak republic to economic and monetary union, introductory processes and after-effects. Project work is divided into three major parts. First chapter is clued-up of historic milestones of entry to euro area, compliance with Maastricht criteria and steps provided by government during introductory term. Second chapter deals with progress of macroeconomic values. Third chapter presents results and interpretation of data obtained by conducted research. Research is focused on feelings of citizens of Slovakia after Euro implementation.

Methods of delimitation of peripheral regions in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis is focused on defining the peripheral regions in the Czech Republic. This topic is still very actual, both nationally, and internationally. Study of definition of unexposed regions is a part of comprehensive research of the territory polarization. Concern about this question was intensifying during the nineties. This time was characterized by growing differentiation between regions. This evoked interest about rise and progress of periphery. The theoretical part consists of important concepts, major theoretical approaches, policies and principles, which define the periphery of concern. Also development of interest in the Czech Republic is described as well as situation in foreign countries and time comparison. Practical knowledge of methods in the Czech Republic are summarized in conclusion of the thesis.

The strategy of AMM system implementation within the Czech distribution system

This thesis deals with issues around the implementation of an AMM (Automated Meter Management) system within the Czech electricity distribution system. The theoretical section of the thesis provides a historical context and looks at the development of the electricity sector. The thesis then goes on to discuss issues regarding the competitiveness of distribution companies in terms of IT/ICT use. This section defines the elements of the Smart Grid concept, in particular the AMM system. The chapters dealing with the conditions for implementing the system in the Czech Republic and pilot projects abroad make up the major sources for the practical section. The goal of the practical section is to come up with a project aim for the AMM system implementation trial project in Prague. The proposed project aim is divided into a number of separate tasks whose results are obtained using a detailed analysis of available sources and the conclusions of the theoretical part of the thesis. The thesis's main benefit is in forming a basis for the AMM implementation trial project in PREdistribuce, Inc. distribution networks and providing a comprehensive overview of the development and current state of the electricity sector.

U.S External Economic Balance

Diploma thesis deals with the US external economic balance, particularly balance of payments, international investment position, indebtness and the dollar exchange rate. The first part includes the theoretical approach to external economic balance and related terms. Furthermore, I focus on the status of current and financial account of the United States in detail. Here I evaluate the balances of BOP parts and search for the explanation of this situation. I also focus on international investment position of the United States, the development of foreign direct investment and debt indicators. The work also contains a detailed analysis of the U.S. balance of payments for the years 2004 - 2008. The last section is a treatise on the history of the dollar, development of its rate, expected future developments and relationships with U.S. major trading partner, China.

History, Present and Chances of Skiing Development in Šumava region

The thesis deals with skiing, one of the major winter sports activity. The disadvantage of down hill and cross country skiing is their demandingness of localization assumptions and sufficient infrastructure. The region of Šumava is one of the parts where skiing has been developed from its early beginning. This region is specific because of its location and sociopolitical development in 20 th century in comparison with other parts in the Czech Republic. The main objective of this thesis is to demonstrate the chronological summary of skiing in this region, to analyze present importance of winter recreation in Šumava by evaluating equipment of resorts and conditions for skiing, and to evaluate advantages and disadvantages of the region in comparison with other winter resorts in the Czech Republic. One part of the thesis is the survey that illustrates the perception of Šumava's attraction for university students. At the end the possibilities of skiing development in Šumava region are mentioned. The Evolution of Hungarian Debt

In the world of rising public sectors, investigation of government deficits and increasing government debts is starting to be important both in theoretical economics and political reality. Hungary is one of the EU member countries with the major public debt problems. As primal cause of Hungarian debts, the trauma of revolutionary year 1956 could be accepted. Government officials began "to bribe" Hungarian citizens by many social security benefits and government expenditures which were so large that government revenues couldn't have covered them. This course led to culminating government debt in relation to ignorance of economic reality. There weren't considerable changes in this evolution even after 1989. Government debt is still the biggest macroeconomic weakness of Hungary, which financial crisis has revealed.

History of Sandstone Climbing in the Labské Valley Since Second World War to the Present

Title: History of sandstone climbing in the Labské valley since the Second World War to the present. Objectives: To study archival materials, literature and Internet sources to document the post-war development of climbing activities in the area Labské valley. On the basis of interviews with major figures of sandstone climbing from this area the problematic issues have been put in the context of past and present years. Methodology: Methods of qualitative research have been used in this work. The method of analysis of documents was to clarify the development and critically assess the milestones in the development. By usage of structured interviews with open questiones the missing information to the development of climbing in the area were enlighten. Methods of structured and unstructured interviews were used in the final debate where they were useful for identification of difficult moments in the development. Foreign direct investment in the Czech - Taiwan relationship

The paper deals with the role of FDI in a country's economic development. First the economic development and the role of FDI in this process is described for Czech Republic and Taiwan. Further, the relationships between the two countries and EU as a major international player are analyzed. Next a comparison of the economic development and FDI in both of the named countries is carried out. In the the mutual economic and FDI relationships between Czech Republic and Taiwan are analysed. These relationships are demosntrated on the case of taiwanese FDI in Czech Republic including the reasons which lead the investor's decisions.
