Horáková, Petra ; Poláčková, Věra (advisor) ; Lorenzová, Jitka (referee)
The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part consists of three chapters, the first is devoted to familiarization with the problems of homelessness. I deal with the social aspects of this phenomenon, such as social exclusion and associated problems of social inclusion in the second chapter. The final chapter discusses the possibilities of assistance directed at homeless people. The practical part includes qualitative research where I try by means of ten case studies to bring the fate of homeless people who seek the services of institutions, where they can find qualified help in solving a wide range of problems that may be the cause of their present situation. By analyzing data, I try to figure out what is behind the possible success or failure of such persons in the pursuit of social inclusion.

In the empirical part of the thesis I am going to make a case study at the basic school, which will chart the actual work of the survey methods, regarding the students values and their attitudes and efficiency of the intervention presented as targeted work with these values and attitudes. Data collection will be in form of participant observations and collection of the documents and artefacts in the classroom. The relationship between the research subject and the questions Based on the knowledge and obtained experiences, I would like to focus on following questions. Case studies for statistical data analysis
Chroboček, Michal ; Hégr, Ondřej (referee) ; Novotný, Radovan (advisor)
This thesis deals with questions which are related to the creation of case studies for statistical data analysis using applied computer technology. The main aim is focused on showing the solution of statistical case studies in the field of electrical engineering. Solved case studies include task, exemplary solution and conclusion. Clarity of explained theory and the results understanding and interpretation is accentuated. This thesis can be used for practical education of applied statistical methods, it’s also supplemented with commented outputs from Minitab. Trial version of Minitab has been used for solution of case studies.
Geocaching and its commercial use
PÍTROVÁ, Lenka
This thesis aims to suggest the commercial use of geocaching in the Czech Republic, based on marketing situation analysis for the area of options. The first part of this thesis investigates theoretical basics of geocaching and its commercial use, strategic marketing and marketing research. The next part processes several case studies regarding the campaign of some subjects who have already used geocaching. For example, from foreign countries, it is Timberland and Chrysler Jeep, and from the Czech Republic, it is Pilsner Urquell, Staropramen or a project like Stratocaching. Finally, analysis of the market and of the tools of the subject's marketing communication is used to make a suggestion for the commercial use of geocaching. Based on previous findings, it is suggested in detail for the project Museum Fotoateliér Seidel to create two caches with a theme of photos by Josef and František Seidel, in which it would be parts of the set.
Incorporating Judgments and Dealing with Data Uncertainty in Forecasting at the Czech National Bank
Brůha, Jan ; Hlédik, Tibor ; Holub, Tomáš ; Polanský, Jiří ; Tonner, Jaromír
This paper focuses on the forecasting process at the Czech National Bank with an empha- sis on incorporating expert judgments into forecasts and addressing data uncertainty. At the beginning, the core model and the forecasting process are described and it is presented how data and the underlying uncertainty are handled. The core of the paper contains five case studies, which reflect policy issues addressed during forecasting rounds since 2008. Each case study first describes a particular forecasting problem, then the way how the issue was addressed, and finally the effect of incorporating off-model information into the forecast is briefly summarized. The case studies demonstrate that a careful incor- poration of expert information into a structural framework may be useful for generating economically intuitive forecasts even during very turbulent times, and we show that such judgements may have important monetary policy implications.

Change management and related influence on IS/ICT
Kroupa, Filip ; Šebesta, Michal (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
The topic of this thesis is change management. A summary of the topic is made in the first part of this thesis so that a reader has the theoretical background to read further. In the second part, the author describes five most important change management methods. These methods are described, analyzed and compared to one another. Five hypotheses about the most influential factors to the outcome of a change project were created out of the analysis. These hypotheses cover the entire span of a typical change project and are tested in the practical part of this thesis. The practical part of the thesis relies on a thorough case studies analysis and interviews. By analyzing the case studies and the interviews, the author was able to judge the validity of set hypotheses and create a set of recommendations for future change projects. These recommendations are based on many real situations and therefore are valuable for future reference. The role of information technology in change management is also emphasized at the end of the thesis.
Simulation model of a retail store
BRYCHCÍN, Karel
In this work are summarized the theoretical basis of retail and simulation models usable as decision making support in the management of retail units. There are described the specifics of retail and specifics of retail units in terms of their classification and basic theoretical foundations for the creation of simulation models. The work also describes the default multi-agent simulation model created by the leader of this work,. Ing. Viktor Vojtko, Ph.D., on which this work builds. Then work describes creation of case studies using multi-agent simulation model, including the calibration process of models for these case studies. General methodology of creating case studies is described in next part of the work. Then the created methodology is varified by scenarios and the last part describes proposals for further editing of simulation model.

The Kingdom of Norway has long been trying to present itself as a peace-keeping international actor. Using the case of Norwegian humanitarian and development assistance to Sudan, the thesis will try to find out whether the national values also influence the Norwegian model of peace-keeping nation, and estimate the efficiency of Norwegian humanitarian and development assistance. First two chapters introduce the basic values of Norwegian society and the conflict situation in Sudan for further analysis of activities of the Norwegian government and non-governmental organisations in Sudan. By comparing these projects with the strategic framework of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Norway's role in peace-building, it is shown that Norway is involved in all dimensions of this programme and is actively endeavouring to improve the situation in Sudan and to build peace.
