Deals with analysis and battery charging NiCd, NiMH, Li-Ion through a series of microcontroller from Atmel AVR controlled and powered from a PC via USB. Part is devoted to the characteristics of the USB interface and software capabilities to the enumeration AVR microcontroller. It also contains the basic characteristics of charged batteries, including the known methods of charging. The second half of the tehesis then provides a complete design and implementation of battery chargers, which consists of electronic parts, ATMEGA168 microcontroller program and the program for the PC. Presents circuit diagram of the charger and flowcharts of the main features of the program. The result of this thesis is functional battery charger above types. Attachments include a proposal DPS, a full circuit diagram and the charge and discharge characteristics of cells. The thesis is also referred to annex to the optical disk. Here it is mainly programs for microcontroller and PC. They are listed here as well as individual projects for AVR Studio, Borland Builder C + + and Eagle, which was created by chargers.
Adjustable source supplied and controlled via USB
Pavlíček, Petr ; Daněček, Vít (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with design and realization of power supply, which is supplied and controlled via USB bus. In theoretical part there are described principles of USB communication drivers which ensures this communication, there are described principles of linear voltage regulators and basic types of DC/DC converters. Mentioned is also PID regulator theory. Practical part aims for design of suitable DC/DC converter topology and creating algorithms for driving this converter. Next there is created PC program which drives power supply and there are also accomplished basic power supply measurements. The result of this thesis is functional power supply supplemented with PCB.
VGA image generation with microcontroller
Polášek, Jan ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is concerned with generating image in VGA format using microcontroller. It’s aimed at microcontrollers series AVR from producer Atmel. Project contains VGA interface description, solves its connection to microcontroller’s output ports, further it contains connection diagram of image generation device with microcontroller Atmel ATmega324P, that I constructed during work on this project.. In project are analyzed fundamentals of image generating in microcontroller, synchronization of image using microcontroller’s internal counter, creating of simple graphic images and text and principles of generating colour images. Generation of text is analyzed in details, including source code for microcontroller. The result of this bachelor‘s thesis is functional image generator device.
Library for graphic objects for microcontrollers Atmel AVR and graphic displays
Skopal, Miroslav ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is concerned about the graphic LCD display control by the Atmel´s AVR microprocessors. Toshiba T6963 controller is described in detail. The overall result of my bachelor’s thesis is the modular library written in C language (GCC). It provides a set of functions for simple graphic objects and controls drawing. The library is designed as a multi - layered one. It supports the usage of different LCD display controllers without any extensive program code modification.
Design and realization of the DC motor controller for mobile robot
Hrbáček, Jan ; Singule, Vladislav (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of the bachelor's thesis is to design a bidirectional electronic speed controller for a brushed DC motor with the power up to 250 W. The background research part introduces various ways of each subsystem's implementation and selects proper technologies to be used to build the controller according to the specification. The description of all important design details, developed firmware functionality as well as design of the prototype and the end product is mentioned in the thesis' part concerning construction. The final controller was successfully tested equipped in the wheeled robot Bender 2. It has been found fully functional and reliable in all operating conditions.
Creation of center for the manufacture of printed circuit boards
VÍTEK, Václav
This bachelor´s thesis deals with variol methods of design and manufacture of printed circuit boards and thein advanteges and disadvantages. A part of this thesis is construction of a prototype for the domestic production of printed circuit boards. This prototype will be controlled by a microcontroller ATmega32 with intelligent LCD display, which operations will be ensured by right involvement of all components and by right programming in the language Bascom.
Building Kit and sample tasks for the primary school with Atmel AVR MCUs
BUŠEK, Vojtěch
This thesis describes the design and implementation of a building kit suitable for teaching how to work with Atmel AVR single-chip computer and its peripheral circuits. Included in the thesis are drafts of electrical schematics of each individual module of the building kit, drawings of the PCBs as well as propositions for sample tasks used in teaching this subject. These further encompass methodological and work papers. Due to it's simplicity and clarity the Bascom AVR was chosen as the programming language for all applications.
Creation of the workplace for working with SMD electronic components - applications with Atmel AVR
MATĚJÍČEK, Jan
This thesis concerns surface mount components and serves as a user guide for amateur equipment for mounting SMD components using hot air soldering. Part of the thesis is vacuum tweezers for handling SMD components and a prototype measurment module for heat gun power control using ATmega32 microcontroller with intelligent LCD display.
Design and implementation of modules for teaching and developing applications with microcontroller Atmel AVR
LANGMAJER, Miroslav
This thesis is based on the design and production of teaching kits with expansion modules which are based on the Atmel AVR microcontroller. Kit consists of a plate containing processes and basic power modules directly on the board and expansion modules "SIMAČ". "SIMAČ" modules are virtual elements that simulate the real elements and they are commonly used in industrial automation. Because of their cost they are integrated in extension kit as programmable modules. It also contains basic theoretical information about working with ATMEL AVR microcontrollers. Expansion modules with module development board and disc which will be loaded all the schemes, programs and technical documentation for individual districts will be attached to the thesis.
Optimization of the electrical energy production of the domestic solar power plant
CICHRA, Karel
The subject of this thesis is to design, construct and test the control system based on single-chip microcomputer Atmel AVR for a small solar power plant. The proposed system will enable to optimize the use of electricity generated by solar power installed at the family house. The objective is to minimize the amount of power sent to the distribution network and maximize the reduction of purchase of electricity. The first section provides an overview and analysis of several possible solutions and their economic comparison. The next section describes basic characteristic of the hardware components and the source code of programs with additonal comments. The final section presents the results of test operation a futher potential improvements of the system for future expansion and better operation efficiency.
