Evaluation of the development and operation of the photovoltaic power plant Ševětín on a surrounding landscape
TRNOBRANSKÝ, Jan
This thesis is concerned with the evaluation of the construction and operation of the Ševětín photovoltaic power plant and with the conditions for such power plant?s operation within the area of the Czech Republic in general. The Ševětín photovoltaic power plant is a part of a project of the company ČEZ Obnovitelné zdroje, s. r. o. (CEZ Renewable Resources, Ltd.) with total power reaching up to 30 MWh and with planned lifespan of 20 years. The research showed that the photovoltaic panels contain recyclable materials (glass, aluminium, plastic and copper) which could be sold for recycling in scrapyards at a price exceeding CZK 20 million (in current prices of recyclable materials that are believed to be constantly rising) in case of its dismantlement. The calculations showed that the energy return regarding the particular type of photovoltaic panels totals 2,3 years. If the Ševětín photovoltaic power plant was not built, the gross financial profit on a regular cultivation of the particular land used for its construction would be less than 150 times lower than on the operation of the power plant. Most of the land will be suitable for farming after the termination of the power plant?s operation and dismantling of its recyclable parts.

Business koncept of facilities of hunting tourism - Pilner region
ŠEFLOVÁ, Dana
The general aim of my diploma thesis was to create a business concept of facilities of hunting tourism in the Pilsner region. Klatovské rybářství, a.s. was selected as a cooperative company, which deals with agricultural activities, especially fish and poultry breeding. The company operates some services of hunting tourism, but it is not the main field. The thesis will serve as a manual for "non-experts" who are interested in expanding their range of travel services. The resulting business concept will consequently be presented to the management of the company in order to demonstrate how the company can further develop. While writing this thesis I got several perspectives on the issue of hunting tourism in the area. The first view was provided by the existing clients of the company who filled in questionnaires which were designed to determine their interest in these services. In addition, three representatives were selected from age groups who were asked for ideas about how the device should look. Another view was obtained through an interview with the director of the company and the employee responsible for the current planning and management of hunting activities. Next view on the issue of hunting tourism, which should be independent, was provided by an employee of Infocentre Bor. Here it was revealed that hunting tourism is not popular with everyone and that it is a rather controversial topic. However, we can say that if done correctly and with concern for the countryside, it can bring many benefits to the given region. These include attracting visitors of other segments of the society, the development of the region, expansion of tourism services and expansion of cooperation between entrepreneurs. Last view was represented by my own experience that I gained during working participation in hunting tourism events. At the beginning of my diploma thesis I determined three working hypotheses. All available resources helped me to evaluate the present circumstances and I can confirm all three hypotheses. The general aim was to create a business concept of facilities of hunting tourism in the Pilsner region. I was able to realize the general aim thanks to the cooperation with the company and by means of utilizing all available information. Now the diploma thesis will be handed over to the management for consideration and possible implementation

Problems of the hip in patients with childhood cerebral palsy in childhood and adolescence. Experimentally influenced centering of the hip by a combination of operational tactics
Schejbalová, Alena ; Trč, Tomáš (advisor) ; Koudela, Karel (referee) ; Karpaš, Karel (referee) ; Kokavec, Milan (referee)
Cerebral palsy it must be nonprogressive brain lesion or lesions. The original lesion must occur prenatally, at birth, or early in the postnatal period. The primary disorder involves the musculoskeletal systém and lack of motor control, mental retardation or defects of hearing, language. Prevalence of cerebral palsy is different - between 0,6- 5,9 per 1000 births. In Western countries, the birth prevalence rate is about 2,0 per 1000. In children with cerebral palsy the hip joint appears to be relative nornmal at birth. There is abnormally increased femoral anteversion and neck-shaft angle. Increasing adduction-flexion contractures of the hip, acetabular dysplasia, subluxation eventual dislocation of the hip.Adduction deformity of the hip is caused by spasticity and contracture of the hip adductors and the medial hamstrings. Flexion deformity of the hip is primarily caused by spasticity and contracture of the iliopsoas and secondarily by rectus femoris muscles. When the rectus femoris is the cause, hip flexion deformity is increased with the knee in flexion and decreased with the knee in extension. When it is due to the iliopsoas muscle, the position of the knee has no effect on the degree of hip flexion contracture ( Thomas test). On passive flexion of the knee, if the test is positive, the pelvis will...

International economic organizations and impact of their activities on international trade development
Jovičić, Elena ; Sato, Alexej (advisor) ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (referee) ; Čajka, Peter (referee)
The necessity for a more adequate regulation of global trade relations (including support for the liberalization and development of international trade), in the context of the deepening globalization processes, requires a greater level of involvement of international economic organizations and more effective implementation of their activities. The primary purpose of the dissertation is to determine whether and how the World Trade Organization, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group have influenced the development of international trading system. The results of this thesis show that international organizations (primarily WTO and UNCTAD) during various stages of its development have been significantly affecting international trade growth mainly through the implementation of specific activities and measures related to a series of agreements and decisions. However, international organizations have had a divergent impact on international trade. The effectiveness of the implementation of specific activities and programs were depending on the political and economic situation of member countries, as well as the governments´ readiness and willingness to implement these measures. On the other hand, the effectiveness of realization of specific activities have been affected by either the internal weaknesses of the organizations, or the insufficient level of cooperation and coordination in the implementation of joint programs and measures aimed at international trade development.

Perspectives of Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership: benefits and potential risks
Bednář, Milan ; Ševčíková, Michaela (advisor) ; Zamrazilová, Eva (referee)
It is possible that the economic condition of Europe after the global financial crisis of 2008-2009 prompted idea of trade liberalization. This diploma thesis deals with the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), a proposed free trade agreement between the European Union and the United States of America. Main goal of the thesis is to provide economic evaluation of the deal, and to assess the claim that TTIP would be beneficial for the European Union member states. Main used method is a theoretical analysis supplemented by regression analysis. The theoretical part is focused on basic economic principles of international trade and related concepts. Main tools used to assess this agreement are described in more detail as well. The analytical part deals with economic linkages between the two regions, with emphasis on the development and current status of non-tariff barriers to trade. The thesis also contains a summary of potential benefits and risks. Finally, a potential impact of TTIP on the Czech Republic and the issue of Brexit is presented. The European Union and the United States of America are linked by strong economic ties. However, trade barriers between those two entities still exist and hamper international trade. The analysis indicates that if the contract was to be impactful and significant, it must focus on a substantial reduction of bilateral non-tariff barriers to trade. This implies that TTIP could interfere with sectoral regulations. In addition, it is not certain that achieved revenues would be automatically higher than costs given the number of perceived risks. Panel data gravity models are used to quantify the potential impact of trade liberalization on export of goods of the EU28 countries to the USA. Significant elimination of trade barriers could increase EU exports to the USA by more than 20%.
