Collective management of the author's economic rights
Šindelář, Jiří ; Žikovská, Petra (referee) ; Wünschová Pujmanová, Alexandra (referee)
85 Summary The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of the collecting societies in the information society. What are their possibilities, task and challenges in the current technological development. Technological development encourages creativity, multiplies the creative process, supports new business models and makes information in general much more accessible for the general public. On the other hand unprecedented and unknown threats have developed - threats for both the copyright holders and copyright users. In such an environment it is necessary to maintain a balance between the rights of authors and public interest at large, particularly education, research and access to information (Quotation from the Preamble of WIPO copyright treaty). It is the task of copyright law in general and collecting societies in particular to accommodate the interest of the original rights holders (such as creators) as well as the general public interest to use the respective work of art. The solution to this potential conflict traditionally lies in "limitations and exceptions"to the author's rights. All limitations are listed in the so called "Information Directive", As a matter of interest, I would like to add that only one exception is mandatory, the rest is optional. As a response to the current situation the...

Jansa, Petr ; Holcová, Irena (referee) ; Křesťanová, Veronika (referee)
103 Resumé / English summary Title of the thesis: Legal aspects of implementing Creative Commons project in the Czech Republic Summary: The main topics of this master thesis are Creative Commons public licenses and legal questions arising in connection with their porting to the Czech legal system, i.e. creating Czech versions of these licenses that mirror the spirit of the original licenses while reflecting the particularities of Czech copyright and Czech law in general. Since public licenses are not yet an established concept in the Czech Republic, the first part of this paper (Chapter 2) introduces several public licenses (presented license) to create a sufficient background. Beside the main goals and features of the Creative Commons (CC) license system, GNU General Public License (GPL), GNU Free Documentation License (FDL) and Creative Archive License (CA) are presented in a similar way and a comparison of these licenses follows on the level of license elements, i.e. the main characteristics that determine the scope of the individual licenses. The aim of Chapter 3 is to produce a legal definition of public licenses. Based on the joint features of the discussed licenses (inductive approach), the following definition emerged: a license that is (i) non-exclusive, (ii) royalty-free, (iii) which the copyright...

Picritic rocks of the České Střredohoří Mts.
Šnellerová, Zuzana ; Jelínek, Emil (advisor) ; Ulrych, Jaromír (referee)
The first part of the thesis represents a summary of background knowledge about the geology of the České středohoří Mnt. In the second part, picritic rocks were investigated in detail. General aspects of the chemical and mineralogical compositions of this rock type and classification of picrites are discussed. In addition, macro and microscopic characteristics of rocks are included. The results of macroscopic and microscopic investigations indicate that the studied subvulcanic rocks from the České středohoří Mnt. can be characterised as picritic. However, chemical analyses of the rocks did not confirm this conclusion. Only the samples S-39 and S-40 can be disignated as picrites. Although the other samples show similar mineralogical composition, they need to be classified as basic subvulcanites of picritic type due to higher alkali content.

Uhlova, Diana

Kovanda, Dominik ; Zeman, Martin (advisor) ; Bartůsková, Lucia (referee)
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of pension systems in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The result of this analysis is the evaluation and comparison of these systems and their functionality for the needs of present and future generations of retired people. In 2016, the second pillar of the pension system in the Czech Republic was cancelled. This pillar was established in 2013. Its creation and existence was deemed unsuccessful. In contrast with the Slovak system where the second pillar operates eleven years and has a large number of participants. Theories of causes of failure of the second pillar in the Czech Republic in the last year came up a lot. The importance of initial conditions of the other pillars in the pension system before the reform was crucial for the success of the new, now canceled that second pillar. The theoretical part of thesis studies social policy, its divisions and implementation. Subsequently there are descriptions of general models of pension systems, their financing methods and possibilities of implementation. The practical part analyzes the historical development and current form of pension systems in the Czech and Slovak Republics. It also describes ways of contribution, profiles of participants, payment options and risks of individual pillars. At the end of the practical part is the comparison of both systems, with projections of possible developments in the future.
