DRUG POLICY YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW -- THE ANALYSIS OF FUTURE IMPACT OF NEW CZECH PENAL CODE

This thesis refers to the drugs policy applied in the past as well as at the present time in the world, especially in the Western countries, and with emphasis on the Czech Republic. Its aim is to prognose future development of this policy. The theoretical part of the thesis attends to the relation between economics and law, or more precisely economics and crime, and it it describes the contemporary Czech drugs legislation, and outlines its former development. The objective task of the other part of the thesis is to analyse prospective consequences of the new Czech Penal Code. This thesis is inspired, in particular, by the Impact Analysis Project of New Drugs Legislation.

Efficiency of regulation models in financial markets in environment of monetary policy changes.

This paper examines models of supervision and regulation over the financial market and their impact on volatility of interest rates according to monetary policy changes. Its goal is to judge if some of these models aren't less effective and cause higher volatility and if the assumption of market stability is provided. It looks into monetary policy changes and their impact on financial market, interest rates and their development in time of these changes. It analyzes correlation of monetary policy and financial market and gives characteristics of each of regulation models. Using the method of graphical analysis, this paper compares reactions of short- and longterm interest rates (Treasury bills and 10years government yields) in relevant countries during monetary change applications. It examines also official offered rate and real interbank rate and its' spreads. As indicator of financial market stress is used Libor-OIS spread. It evaluates the influence of models used in different countries in each given situation.

Accounting and tax environment for individuals doing business in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany

The goal of this thesis is a description of accounting and tax environment for individuals doing business in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. It provides readers information on the obligations that are applied to entrepreneurs while starting business activities, informs about the regulation of accounting and tax records in the Czech Republic in comparison with how are accounting and tax records regulated in the Federal Republic of Germany. The thesis also focuses on bookkeeping in accordance with Czech and German accounting regulations and as well on tax issues for individual entrepreneurs. The thesis then presents on a specific case the biggest differences for accounting and tax records in both chosen countries.

The thesis is focused on fair tuition fees. It tries to explore more profoundly all the possible factors, which could be considered as important during the measuring benefits of higher education. Among these factors we can find p.e. Labour market success rate, unemployment and income level of graduates in employment. The other main theme of this thesis is the current situation concerning the funding of higher education in the Czech Republic and other EU countries. The issue of tuition fee is currently very actual and it is clear that proper financial cost analysis of studies and the possibilities of measuring return on investment in tertiary education are more than important. Therefore I present existing possibilities to measure return on investment and also to the following possibilities how to include and use the unemployment rate of graduates.

The comparison of private banking in the Czech Republic and in Liechtenstein

Abstract The thesis deals with the priváte banking in the Czech Republic and in Liechtenstein. The goal is to analyze concrete services that the client can expect in both of these countries. Large topic in this thesis is the lombard credit, which is quite a typical product in western countries but not that known among Czech investors. As well as the thesis describes all the mechanisms around it.

Comparison of Czech and German financial reporting on a specific company

This bachelor thesis aims to compare Czech and German financial reporting. It provides to its readers information about accounting legislature in both countries and points out the differences caused by diversed accounting and presenting of finacial data. The biggest differences in accounting and execution of the report are shown on a specific example: accounting and the execution of the report is noted down according to Czech legislation and eventually according to German legislation.

Posts of the Presidents in the Countries of Visegrad four

The diploma theses "Posts of the President in the Countries of Visegrád Four - Funkce prezidenta v zemích Visegrádské čtyřky" describe analysis of the positions of four Presidents in four different parliamentary regimes. After the analysis of historical tradition, constitutional competence and the most important events in the particular terms of office of the particular Presidents, the aim of the diploma theses is to compare the four chosen different conceptions of the presidential posts. The comparison of the four presidential posts has another aim. This aim of these graduation theses is to analyse the incoming possible reform of the presidential elections in the Czech Republic from indirect elections to direct ones. The potential introduction of direct elections of the President in our country would mean some changes in the position of the President of the Czech Republic and his or her perception by people. Some of the described cases are excellent for the analysis of the incoming possible transition to a direct presidential election, in which similar reforms of the presidential elections, and the related changes of the Constitutions, have already taken place. Transformations of television public service broadcasting in the time of digitazing

The topic of this are changes of the public television broadcasting, that are caused by degitalization. There are no doubts that nowadays television is goinig trough some big transformations, both in the technological way and in the waz of structure of its content. Digitalization affetcs not only quality of the picture and sound, but also viewerś habits. This thesis should be focused on the public television broadcasting, but there are many phenomenons common both for public TV and commercial TV. Thatś why there are basis and grounds of the digitalization described for both of these areas together in the first part. Changes of viewerś habits and changes of programmme structure are the parts which are mainly focused on public TV. The aim of this thesis is to look on digitalization "from above", from general point of view. It is not aiming to describe specifics of this issue in particular countries.

This bachelor thesis compares four regional stock exchanges in Germany. These are stock exchanges in Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt. The Frankfurt stock exchange is the most important stock market in Germany and it is often used as a benchmark for the whole German market. The goal of this paper is to inform about the system of the German stock market system in general and describe not only the well-known Frankfurt stock exchange but the smaller stock exchanges of regional importace as well. Sections in this paper describe the development of stock markets in Germany, trading systems and market segments. There can be found a list and description of the stock indexes and volume of trade as well as figures describing the data in the last chapter.

Comparison of corporate bankruptcy solutions

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare solutions of corporate bankruptcy in the Czech republic and Poland. The content of this thesis are described insolvency proceedings in both countries and their following comparison based on international statistics. A benefit of this thesis is a different view on insolvency environment by help of comparison with Poland. The comparison criterions are the main indicators for evaluation of effectiveness of insolvency proceedings in both countries. The reasons for values of the criterions of time, cost and recovery rate of insolvency proceedings are stated with most imported causes for those values.
