Šíma, Antonín ; Špinka, Štěpán (referee) ; Karfík, Filip (advisor)
This work devotes itself to the principles doctrine by Philolaus of Croton and to the doctrine by Pythagoreans who are mentioned in Aristotle's treatises. The object of this work is to examine the principles doctrine by Philolaus of Croton and to point out what kind of principles he described and the status they had in the context of cosmological doctrines of other presocratic philosophers. The objective of this research refferies to Pythagorean principles doctrine. The fragments Philolaus of Croton constitute essential opposites to limiters and unlimiteds principles, these opposites constitute order of nature. The element of their unification is a principle of the cosmic harmony. Numbers in this principles doctrine represent particular part of cosmological investigation with their help the knowledge determinates things in the world and the cosmos as whole. The distinction of partial points of Pythagorean principles doctrine in Aristotle's reports establishes a number as an essential cosmological principle. His relationship to the principle of number to the whole cosmos and to everything in it is determined by the help of Pythagorean number combinatory, which is established on the basis of likeness between qualities of phenomenal things and a number figures. With pair elements of numbers even and odd by...

Population (and) national policy of the People's Republic of China towards ethnic minorities
Horálek, Adam ; Šatava, Leoš (advisor) ; Pargač, Jan (referee)
This study deals with relations between ethnic issue of China on the one hand and the population (and) national policy on the other. The essen-tial issue is whether the ethnic categories are exactly based on ethnic consciousness or if they are more of a politically modified construct. This study does not aspire to judge whether or not it is such case, but rather to put forward many arguments for and against this statement. The important thing that must be discussed is terminology concerning the essential concept- minzu. To correlate minzu with any in-Europe- practiced ethnological terminology is disputable, especially because of the diametric distinctions between both regions. Although the tempo-rarily used terminology has its roots in Stalinist conception of "natsion-alnost", different components must also be pointed out. The results of the research on Sino-Tibetan borderland and its ethnic minorities are used to support the documentation of the issue as applied on the whole People's Republic of China (PRC). Nonetheless, this work is out of any micro regional analysis, due to its more theoretical focus. In accordance with this theme, it was necessary to work in interdiscipli-nary point of view based mostly (except for ethnology, of course) on geography, demography, sinology and cartography. Due to this...

Pavlová, Václava ; Schneidrová, Dagmar (advisor)
During the 20th century, medicine has undergone massive development. But countless new methods to save life or improve its quality began to develop a new perspective on health and the role of doctors and patient. Recognizing that virtually everything we do, eat, breathe, etc. affects our health, moved a large part of the responsibility for maintaining health to all of us. Roe of Philosophy as Arrangement of problem in Humane Education
Šturzová, Jana ; Pešková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Vališová, Alena (referee) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee)
Philosophy as a mediator of interdisciplinary problems in the education of humanities In the last couple of years, we can register that the number of humanities is steadily increasing. The variability of humanities closely watches its' thematisation in the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary manner. What is common to all individual humanities and what enables the birth of new disciplines is the created distance from methodological starting-points of individual humanities, total loss or abandonment of the original philosophical dimension, which thematised them. This situation leads to the destruction of the original uniform meaning, which was philosophically reasoned out. The disintegration of the original meaning leads to the making of particular "meanings", which become objects of analysis. But not all humanities are the same, which means that for some sciences, certain problems are legitimate and key objects of analysis and for other sciences the identical problems cannot be examined and opened as a theme, because they are tabooed.
