Animals as a Tool Used by Mankind

I've chosen Animals as a tool used by mankind as a topic for my thesis. The reason to choose this topic is my closeness to it because of my education in fields of ecology and ethics. I presume, that it would be interesting to connect gained knowledge from ecology and my current study of bioethics. The aim of my thesis is to find out, discover, explain and prove, whether and to what measure is it justified to use animals in favor of a human. I would like to try to describe most important aspects of this topic in my thesis. I'd try to answer to this aimed goal through collected information from worldwide and local authors. My thesis will be structured in three main parts. First part will be aimed on animal rights, in a second part, there will be desribed in which ways we use animals and in a third part there are stated ethical and theological aspects of this problem.

This thesis deals with unconventional ways of alimentation. The primary aim of the thesis is to define the individual unconventional directions of alimentation and to collect and organize available information. The origin and principles of the macrobiotic, raw food, vegetarian and organic diet is described. It deals with the philosophy, goals, motivations and composition of the diet. It maps the pluses and minuses of the alternative ways of diet including the most common reasons leading to such dietary decisions. The risks and advantages of individual types of diet are given with respect to its influence on the human health. Annotated Translation - Vegetarian diet

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the translation of a German original text into Czech provided with a translation commentary. The translated text is an article published in 2011 in a German scientific journal Spiegel der Forschung n.28 (issue 1). The article deals with vegetarianism around the whole world and in Germany and tries to explain this diet to a wider audience. The translation commentary consists of a translation analysis of the original text, which contains a description of intertextual and extratextual factors based on Christiane Nord's theory. The thesis deals with translation methods, problems that occur during translation and their possible solutions based on the translation analysis. The issue of organic agriculture and its application on consumer food market

This bachelor thesis describes a diferent methods of food production, summarizes the development of the organic agriculture and some of its trends and directions. It compares these options due due to their effects on human health. The practical part consists of the questionnaire, its analysis and assessment. The function of the questionnaire was the survey of vegetarians' consumer behavior and their attitude towards the products of the organic agriculture.
Vegetariánství - cesta k řešení potravinové krize?

The thesis focuses on the vegetarianism and its potential to solve the food crisis in the world. Hypothesis was formulated and states that vegetarianism is a way to resolve this crisis. SWOT analysis method was used to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, oppor-tunities and risks of vegetarianism in term of economic, environmental and ethical aspects. The results show that vegetarianism is the way to solve the food crisis, but only on the theoretical level, because there are many factors and barriers which does not al-low the implementation of this solution in the full extent.

In this bachelor thesis entitled "Benefits and Risks of vegetarian diet" I deal with two main themes. In the first part I am devoted to the question of the rational nutrition, which describe the main nutritional components and their functions for the body. In the second part I am interested to the one of the most widespread alternative boarding, which is vegetarianism. Describes his division and the reasons why a person tends to vegetarianism. I am also deals with the composition of the vegetarian diet, especially the effects of eating only plant-based diet and lack of certain substances in the context of refusing to accept meat. Finally, I am mapping the pros and cons of a vegetarian diet on the human organism.
The Physical activity in vegetarian women

The thesis titled The Physical activity in vegetarian women consists of two parts. The first, theoretical part is devoted mainly vegetarianism as such. There clarify the concept of vegetarianism, its distribution and nutritional aspects of a vegetarian diet with regular physical activity. Further topics are about physical activity recommendations for adults in the Czech Republic and in the global context. There are also benefits of human walk. The second part of the thesis deals with research of the issue. There is solved the question of vegetarianism and its potential impact on increasing the level of physical activity among women. To find answers was elected the research group of thirty vegetarian women and a control group of thirty women eating in the usual way in a similar age variance. Comparison of these two specific groups of women took place within the gained data from an international survey of PA IPAQ-long and weekly monitoring using pedometers six months in repetition. Based on the results wasn´t recorded demonstrable evidence that vegetarianism affecting the increase in the physical activity compared with the population eating in the conventional way.
Vegetarianism as a Consumer Trend

The aim of this diploma thesis is a complete analysis of vegetarianism, as a consumer trend, including forecasts of future potential of this trend for the field of retailing in the Czech Republic. The thesis deals with the influence of various aspects of vegetarianism on the market in the Czech Republic. First, vegetarianism as such is characterized. The next chapter describes the supply side of vegetarian products on the Czech market, labeling of vegetarian food and its availability. Then, the thesis deals with with the consumer's purchasing decision-making process in relation to vegetarian products and marketing strategies that are used in relation to vegetarian products. The work is complemented by a questionnaire and a final SWOT analysis. In the thesis, a market potential of vegetarian products with one particular type of positioning was identified.
Alternative types of nourishment by students of university in České Budějovice

This bachelor thesis deals with alternative ways of nutrition diet of college students in Ceske Budejovice. The theoretical part explains the characteristics of the most known alternative diets and their possible nutrition risks. Furthermore, the theoretical part discusses possible reasons for the transition to alternative eating habits. The practical part evaluates the representation of alternative ways of college students' diet in Ceske Budejovice. It also discovers the rate of representation of the particular alternative ways of nourishment, students' opinions on the alternative diet and the amount of fluid intake with regards to a way of nourishment. In addition, it discusses intake of food complements and the changes that are recognized after the transition to an alternative diet. The analysis is based on the quantitative research, which was completed by the anonymous electronic questionnaire. The gathered data are presented in tables and graphs.
