Interpreting models in PRC
Aguas Maisels, Sebastian ; Čeňková, Ivana (advisor) ; Rejšková, Jana (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to outline the development and current situation of the interpreting profession in China. It places particular emphasis on interpreter training at chinese universities, interpreters accreditations, professional organizations and the formation of interpreting theory and training as an autonomous discipline. The beginnings of the conference interpreting profession in China date back to 1979, when the UN Training Programme for Interpreters and Translators was launched. In 1994 this programme was transformed into the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation at the Beijing Foreign Studies University, which became the first interpreter training institution in China. In 2006 the first three universities launched a BA in Translation and Interpreting (BTI). In 2007 fifteen universities started offering anew Master's programme in Translation and Interpreting (MTI). Currently, the number of universities offering BTI has more than doubled and the number of universities offering MTI has reached 150. Several universities offer also PhD programmes in interpreting studies. Interpreting studies are gradually developing into an autonomous discipline in China and monographs of representative Chinese researchers, e.g. Liu Heping, Bao Gang or Wang Binhua, attest to it. Verification of basic parameters of complete blood count using analyser Sysmex XT 4000i, result comparison of patients' samples with analyser Sysmex XT 2000i in accredited laboratory.
MOUČKOVÁ, Lenka
Central Laboratories of Strakonice Hospital, joint stock company, are accredited according to CSN EN ISO 15189 Medical laboratories - Particular requirements of quality and competence. Requirements of verification and validation of methods emerge from this accreditation. Results of validation and verification processes are used to evaluate the uncertainty of measurement and assessment for continuity and comparability of measurement results. Introduction of a new type of automated hematology analyzer Sysmex XT-4000i in Central laboratories in Strakonice Hospital, joint stock company, in the hematology and blood storage section, requires verification and validation of basic examined blood count parameters on hematology analyzer Sysmex XT-4000i.The theme of the work is based on the requirements of CSN EN ISO 15189 and SOPO-C-06 Method validation/verification procedure for introducing laboratory hematology analyzer. Measurements of the basic parameters of blood count , namely leukocytes, erythrocytes, platelets, hemoglobin, hematocrit and mean corpuscular volume were done according to this document. Measurements of these parameters were used to evaluate a precision in terms of repeatability, precision in terms of reproducibility and accuracy. Parameters leukocytes, erythrocytes, platelets, hemoglobin, hematocrit and mean corpuscular volume were measured from twenty patient samples at two concentration levels to evaluate the precision in terms of repeatability. Basic parametres of blood count validated in EHK process were measured to evaluate the precision in terms of reproducibility. Reference materials e-check level 1 and e-check level 2 from Sysmex manufacturer were used as hematology control materials which moved within the physiological range. Measurements of these two reference materials were carried out daily during 20 days in a singlet. These measurements were used as the basis to calculate basic statistical parameters, the variational coefficient of repeatability and the variational coefficient of reproducibility from which variational analytical coefficient was calculated. The variational coefficient of reproducibility was used to compare methods of investigated parameters to the data specified by the manufacturer of the analyzer, as the manufacturer of the analyzer does not give the variational coefficient of repeatability. To estimate the validity, basic parametres of blood counts were measured to control materials from the company SEKK, Ltd.These materials are used to measure performance parametres. Validity measurements were used to calculate basic statistical parameters of which bias was calculated. It served to calculate the total analytical error of a laboratory and also it served to be compared to the total maximum error recommended by the company SEKK Ltd. in 2012. Passing-Bablock regression analysis was used to compare hematology analyzer Sysmex XT-2000i and hematology analyzer Sysmex XT-4000i, namely to compare the existing and the introducing analyzer and to compare open and closed mode of the introducing analyzer Sysmex XT-4000i. To compare analyzer Sysmex XT-4000i and Sysmex XT-2000i, which was regarded as referential, 40 patient samples were measured in a closed mode. To compare open and closed modes of analyzer Sysmex XT-4000i, 168 patient samples were measured. The measured values of all basic parameters were evaluated using MedCalc programme. The study showed that the device Sysmex XT-4000i meets the criteria required by CSN EN ISO 15189 Medical laboratories - Particular requirements for quality and competence and SOPO-C-06 Method validation/verification procedure for introducing laboratory hematology analyzer in Central laboratories Strakonice Hospital, Inc. section of hematology and blood storage. Comparison of the new hematology analyzer Sysmex XT-4000i to the current Sysmex XT-2000i showed that both analyzers are comparable.

Quality in Strategic Management in Companies and Organizations
Růžička, Jiří ; Nenadál, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kotovicová, Jana (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
This work deals with the status of quality in strategic management of organizations in industry, services, small and medium-sized enterprises, public organizations and administration. It reflects the development in the Czech Republic in the last 25 years in terms of quality. It concerns establishment processes contained in the Blue Guide and the NLF in the Czech Republic, including some instruments such as certification, accreditation and conformity assessment. The second area of the work deals with the National Quality Policy in the Czech Republic, defined by the Council of quality of the Czech Republic. The main objective is the realization of research and determination / verification, whether the strategic management of organizations polled is used and in what way. What modern management concepts do these organizations use and how are their strategies contained in the individual quality requirements. The results were compared with results of similar research carried out not only in the Czech Republic in the past years, so it would be possible to confirm the trends I´ve observed. The results will be used as a guidance for Czech organizations in respect of the aforementioned topics.

Influence of accreditation on patient
KRASNIČANOVÁ, Lucie
Nowadays the accreditation of hospitals is very current topic. During the last years there has been a change in the way of life of society. Within the provided services, the number of patients seeking higher quality medical facilities with specialist care rises. The basic lead for patient is the information about accreditation of the medical facility. The accreditation of the hospital is guarantee for patient that procedures used in the hospital comply with the prescribed standards. Standardization of care provides a unified approach to the patient and leads to safer and higher quality care. Thesis objectives Objective 1: To find out how the selected hospitals introduce "Program of improving the quality and safety of the services provided in a hospital accredited (JCI)" Objective 2: To explore the impact of accreditation (JCI) on patient satisfaction and quality of feedback. Objective 3: To define the benefits of accreditation at the hospital with JCI against the facility without JCI from the patient's perspective. Research questions 1) How does patient perceive the level of care, its accessibility and continuity in the accredited facility? 2) How does patient perceive the complex care of team of trained personnel (doctors, nurses, educational nurses, nutritional therapists)? 3) How does patient evaluate the awareness about all care related to his/her health during hospitalization? 4) What difference in care is there for patient at the hospital with accreditation from the other facility without it? Methodology To obtain the necessary information, a qualitative research was carried out and the methods of questioning with the technique of semi-structured interview on a pre-prepared set of questions were used. A total of 6 patients hospitalized in Hospital Na Homolce were interviewed. The hospital management was informed about the research in writing. Results and Conclusion The interviews revealed that the patients were provided by nursing care according to general or functional method during the hospitalisation in JCI accredited hospital. The care was available according to the patients? needs in terms of time and organisation. In one case a bed wasn?t arranged. The situation was resolved by agreement of staff with the patient. An important part of patient admission to the accredited hospital was staff presentation to patients, which was done, except for one patient. Furthermore, all patients agreed that a physician in the department had attended them every day. The cooperation of the multidisciplinary team worked well according to the patients, they particularly appreciated the work of a psychologist. Patients saw differences in the care in the security measures and in terms of availability, the interviews revealed that two respondents had experienced a long waiting time to scheduled surgery at a hospital without accreditation. The patients evaluated positively the level of provided nursing care. The results of the survey show that most of patients were aware of the differences in provided care. There is surely an influence of education of the nurses in the communication with patients, when was found out that it is needed to develop the communication more. The output of this thesis is a proposal of practical seminar for nurses, which should contain basic information about an effective communication with the patient, particularly aimed to feedback.
Internal audits and their effectiveness from the perspective of nurses and internal auditors
HAVLÍČKOVÁ, Šárka
The final thesis topic focuses on the issue of internal audits and their contribution to enhancing quality of the provided care. The aim of the final thesis was to find out how the nurses working shifts and head nurses assess internal audits. Next, the aim was to research nurses? opinions on further enhancing quality of the provided care. Another goal of the thesis was to explore internal auditors? professional qualifications and find out their opinion on the issue of internal audits. In the empirical part of the diploma thesis, I have chosen a quantitative and a qualitative research method. The quantitative research was carried out in the form of an anonymous questionnaire for non-medical workers. In the qualitative research I have applied in-depth interviews, carried out with three quality managers and three internal auditors. Furthermore, three internal audits of nursing units and three internal audits of medical documentation have been carried out. The results of the thesis may be practically used as a source of information about quality, continual enhancement of the quality of the provided care and ensuring quality by the means of internal audits.
