Marketing Research in Chosen Company
KULÍČKOVÁ, Štěpánka
The aim of this thesis was to establish the contemporary level of geographic information systems use by municipal authorities in the Czech Republic. Far more the task was to design measures based on the results of this research for the GEFOS a.s. company, which is a provider of GIS and WMS and for whom the research has been realized. I chose the following methods: analysis of secondary data and questionnaire investigation via e-mail. The questionnaire consisted of 17 questions about GIS, WMS and companies, which provide GIS and WMS. 714 authority offices in the Czech Republic have been involved (mainly in cities). 34 % had in fact responded, which is 243 offices. It has been determined that 15 % of the offices do not use GIS. The greatest obstruction of the initiation of GIS is financial reason. Some offices do not own it also because of lack of information or because the purchase has already been in progress. As a result of this the communication with potential clients, who do not have GIS, explaining the advantages and working principles, adding the WMS offer and helping with the first GIS project initiation has been suggested. The research cleared factual imperfections of the single GIS and companies offering those. Imperfections of firms: mostly the low adjustment, high prices and long duration for solutions of problems or demands. Software is concerned those imperfections: the data actualization, function in common, graphics and data import. For those improvements have been suggested {--} to react and handle those imperfection and additional demands of the customers. This means to confront the known imperfections and demands with the factual services of the GEFOS company, remove or fulfill those and include some opposites of imperfections in the GIS offer of the GEFOS company. In the Web Map Services (WMS) area it has been discovered that those services have been used by only on third of 243 offices. That is why I have suggested measures to support WMS, which should ensure a higher informedness about WMS and what is more important it should waken the desire for WMS purchase. Far more with my research I found out about the most used GIS software (it is MISYS); the most important companies in this area (the first is GEPRO spol. s r.o.); the sufficiency of the offices with the single software and companies; the most common map servers (it is MISYS-WEB), data for creation of GIS, number of GIS administrators and the methods of data publication (e.g. municipal plans).

Mapping of relational schema onto existing ontologies
Marko, Peter ; Nečaský, Martin (referee) ; Tykal, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master thesis concerns the problematics of mapping of relational schemas to existing ontologies, primarily written in RDFS. Its first part gives a view at already existing solutions and their principles. The solutions are divided into the manual and semiautomatic groups according to the level of a help given to users when mapping. Secondly the thesis presents an own solution - mDR. In its basics it does use ideas of the existing FDR2 system, however it generalises them. The mapping is done in three steps: creation of helping information about a database, mapping and instances transfer. The last third of the work involves JmDR, a (in JAVA) developed tool completely implementing the first two phases.

Liver and kidney dysfunction in critically ill patients. Support options and compensation functions
Kroužecký, Aleš ; Matějovič, Martin (advisor) ; Chytra, Ivan (referee) ; Viklický, Ondřej (referee) ; Dostál, Pavel (referee)
22 23 7. Summary The liver and kidney are an important organs involved in a number of biosynthetic, biotransformative, detoxifying, endocrine and immune processes and therefore it is understandable that its dysfunction is associated with adverse outcome of critically ill patients. Hepatic and renal dysfunctions in critical illness are relatively common and occur usually as a component of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). Several mechanisms have been proposed to explain the development of MODS. Among these, 1) the hypoxic component resulted from an inadequate oxygen supply to tissues, and 2) cytotoxic effects of various mediators are believed the key elements in the pathophysiology of MODS. From these complex causes of injury are probably the most therapeutically attainable the hemodynamic disturbances and maintenance of adequate organ perfusion pressure using vasopressors is one of the cornerstones of treatment of critically ill patients. Blood flow through organs is autoregulated over a wide range of mean arterial pressure (MAP). There is an agreement that under physiological conditions minimum value of MAP necessary to ensure this autoregulation is about 60- 65 mm Hg. Therefore MAP > 65 mmHg has been recommended as a goal for the vasopressor therapy in sepsis. In critical condition, however,...

Genetic polymorphism in the HFE gene in the Czech population
Červinková, Barbora ; Beránek, Martin (advisor) ; Šimůnek, Tomáš (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Bc. Barbora Červinková Supervisor: Doc. PharmDr. Martin Beránek, Ph.D. Title of diploma work: Genetic polymorphism of the HFE gene in Czech population Outline: The main objective of the thesis was to map the incidence of the three mutations (C282Y, H63D, S65C) in the HFE gene in the Czech population. Consequently, the obtained results were compared with the reported occurrence in the world. Methods: The work involved the isolation of DNA from buccal swabs obtained from 167 donors (65 men, 102 women; average age for men was 31, for women 28). Isolated DNA strings were amplified by PCR methods using 5'-CAG ATC CTC ATC TCA CTG-3' and 5'-CTG GAT AAC CTT GGC TGT ACC CCC-3' primers for C282Y mutation, 5'-GCC ACA TCT GGC TTG AAA TT-3' and 5'-ACA TGG TTA AGG CCT GTT GC GCC ACA- 3' primers for H63D and S65C mutations. DNA samples were treated with restriction enzymes Rsa I, Bcl I and Hinf I, for C282Y, H63D and S65C mutations, respectively. Finally, the restriction fragments were separated by gel electrophoresis (2 % agarose gel). Results: C282Y mutation was present in 0 (0 %) and 19 (11,38 %) samples as homozygote or heterozygote, respectively. Moreover, C282Y mutation was present in 3 (1,80 %)...

Analýza genového clusteru anthramycinových a lincosamidových antibiotik
Jelínková, Markéta ; Koběrská, Markéta ; Čermák, Lukáš ; Kopecký, Jan ; Janata, Jiří ; Spížek, Jaroslav
Lincomycin, produced by Streptomyces lincolnensis, is important, clinically used antibiotic. Its gene cluster consists of twenty-seven putative open reading frames with biosynthetic or regulatory functions and three resistance genes. Comparison of the chemical structure of the lincomycin and celesticetin indicates, that in the biosynthesis of celesticetin the whole propylproline branch is absent and proline is substrate of the penultimate step of biosynthesis, the condensation reaction. Second part of biosynthetic pathway including conversion of L-tyrosine to L-proline should be involved in the biosynthesis of functionally different anthramycin antibiotics. Thus it appears, that genetic information on lincomycin and anthramycin biosynthesis must also share common elements (genes), both biosynthetic and regulatory. The organization of transcription units was found. The analysis of the lincomycin biosynthetic gene transcripts in various cultivation stages revealed the genes with putative regulatory functions which are transcribed sooner. A set of probes based on the sequence of lincomycin biosynthetic cluster was used to search for analogous genes in celesticetin producer Streptomyces caelestis and three producers of anthramycin antibiotics: Streptomyces refuineus, Streptomyces albus and Streptosporangium sibiricum. Hybridization experiments proved presence of several analogues of genes coding for sugar moiety biosynthesis in S. caelestis and analogues of some genes coding for anthramycin antibiotics in different anthramycin producers. A rough restriction map of a part of celesticetin gene cluster presumably responsible for sugar moiety biosynthesis shows the gene arrangement to be very similar to that of lincomycin biosynthetic cluster.

The prayer of St. Augustine
Poříz, Jan ; Ventura, Václav (advisor) ; Mohelník, Tomáš (referee)
Resumé: Jan Poříz, Prayer of St. Augustine This work is offering to introduce St. Augustine as a man and a teacher of prayer and to include his spiritual teaching into the whole of his theology and philosophy and also into the wider events of the religious and common history. The prayer and the spiritual life remains the focal point from which the whole is being observed. They proved and emphasize their importance for the entire of the saint's teaching and his life. The first Chapter is pointing out the historical aspect of Augustin's times. In three points it moves from the more distant circumstances, from the onset of Christianity and the fall of the West-Roman Empire, through to the position of the Church at these times, till the treatise about Augustin's predecessors who already worked on the theme of prayer. The Chapter two is mapping out Augustine's life of prayer since his childhood till his death. Most time is dedicated to the events involving his conversion, which are fundamental to Augustine's future spiritual direction and his theological reflex. The nucleus and the outcome of Chapter three is its concluding part, where the individual forms of prayer are discribed, which Augustin thematized and their mutual interaction. There are parts dedicated to the important themes of anthropology, dealing...

Development of the limb skeleton in the Anura
Kocábková, Martina ; Roček, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Slípka, Jaroslav (referee)
Development of the limb skeleton in the Anura Bc. Martina Kocábková Abstract Although the morphology of frogs has been the subject of several studies, results of these are often incomplete and confusing. There are only several detailed studies of morphological variability in ontogeny of anuran limbs and even these results are difficult to compare. Therefore I have decided to map some of the diversity encountered in the ontogeny of these elements. This study is based on comparative study of ontogenetic series of nine anuran species which are representing the principal locomotor types. The results support that the basic developmental pattern was similar in all species. However there are some differences in details of ontogeny which are involved in the differentiation of carpus and tarsus.

The Orthodoxy in Czechoslovakia 1920 - 1942 (Bishops Gorazd and Savvatij)
Pipková, Libuše ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (advisor) ; Hrdlička, Jaroslav (referee)
Presented magisterial thesis "Orthodoxy in Czechoslovakia 1920 - 1942 (Bishops Gorazd and Savvatij)" tries to contribute to enlightment of this rather dark and in ecclesial circles mythologised era of Czech Orthodoxy. It is concerned with the raise and development of Orthodox Church in our land, taking into consideration diversity of involved groups in this process. This is an attempt to map given period of time with a simultaneous insight towards the advancement of founding Orthodox group and another group coming out of the millieu of catholic modernism. This thesis observes the path of both future parts of the Orthodox Church since the fall of the Austrian Empire through a prospecting phase in the Czechoslovak Church and finally to decisive short-time incorporation, followed by the State authority backing the usurpation of the Prague cathedra (of the Prague archbishopric) by bishop Gorazd.

Mapping the Individual Musical Experience in Post-Apartheid South Africa: A Bio-Ethnography of Township Dweller Lesiba Samuel Kadiaka
Zdrálek, Vít ; Matoušek, Vlastislav (advisor) ; Lucia, Christine Elizabeth (referee) ; Horáková, Hana (referee)
The dissertation is a biographical ethnography of an individual, ordinary musician and Mamelodi township dweller, Lesiba Samuel Kadiaka (*1962) in South Africa. It is based largely on fieldwork totalling more than 12 months conducted in five periods over six years between 2006 and 2011. It examines the possibilities of studying an average (rather than 'leading') musician ethnographically and their implications and consequences for wider ethnomusicological and South African music research. It makes a practical contribution to the wider debate about the relationship between individual, social, and cultural structures, and breaks new ground in its focus on the previously little known music and practices of Mr. Kadiaka's church, the Zion Christian Church. The research consisted mainly of ethnographic observations of various kinds of musical activities in which Mr. L. S. Kadiaka was involved in as a solo musician (songwriter and song singer) and as a member of the ZCC, on the one hand, and of deep interviews over the time span of six years, on the other. It consists of a biographical part dealing with his narratives about childhood in rural Ga-Mphahlele and his later life in Mamelodi township. Iconographic historical sources of a private nature are use too. The second part describes in three large...
