Basic phytochemical investigation of some taxons division Eumycota with respect to study of antioxidant activity
Mrvíková, Hana ; Opletal, Lubomír (advisor) ; Siatka, Tomáš (referee)
SOUHRN Tato práce si kladla za cíl provést základní fytochemický výzkum vybraných 14 taxonů hub oddělení Eumycota. Pojednávané druhy hub patří celkem do sedmi čeledí: Boletaceae, Hydnaceae, Pleurotaceae, Polyporaceae, Russulaceae, Strophariaceae a Telephoraceae.

Portfolio investment for individual investors : (portfolio recommendations for three case studies)
Žigraiová, Diana ; Baxa, Jaromír (referee) ; Pečená, Magda (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the portfolio investment area with respect to individual investors. It discusses their investment possibilities and behavioural aspects that may be the cause of deviations in investors' behaviour from rationality and which as well have the impact on forming their investment objectives. On the three investor case studies two qualitatitive methods of asset allocation are studied, eventually dividing the content of their investment portfolios between stocks and bonds. Additionally, the extension to the traditional stock and bond allocation is performed by means of real estate, commodities and art and antiques and its appropriateness is analyzed for each case study investor. At the very end of the thesis a quantitative mean-variance optimization method of asset allocation is mentioned.

EU - Canada Economic Relations: A Suitable Framework for Business Activities?
Chaloupka, Jan ; Cihelková, Eva (advisor) ; Bič, Josef (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to survey the current cooperation between the European Union and Canada and its future development and thus answer the question of whether the current situation with respect to the planned legislative and institutional steps presents a suitable framework for realisation of business activities in these economies. The thesis is focused on, from my point of view, crucial and most discussed issues of mutual cooperation in the field of business, commerce and investment. None the less important levels of collaboration, such as education, science and research, energy and cooperation in safety and peace matters cannot be neglected, either. These areas do not stand in the centre of the thesis, however, their inclusion completes the overall image of the complexity of bilateral relations between the European Union and Canada.

Communication in language class
Koulová, Ilona ; Šebesta, Karel (advisor) ; Lehečková, Eva (referee)
This master thesis is concerned with an analysis of communication in the classroom, in which the Czech language is being taught as a foreign language. In the first introductory theoretical part of the thesis, the specifics of educational communication are delimited and afterwards expanded to include communication in the foreign language classroom. This part also examines the most genuine principles in foreign language teaching, points at the so-called communicative approach in education, and accents the importance of the concept of interaction in the technique of teaching. The next section of the thesis specifies all requisites related to the system of analysis discussed in the communicative discourse of authors J. McH. Sinclair and R. M. Coulthard from 1975, who divided the discourse into several types of units, the smallest of which was established as the act. From the acts on, the thesis is based on their analysis. It examines the types of acts, their linguistic (eventually para-linguistic realizations), and their modifications with respect to the educational goal of class/activity. Finally, besides the discourse on acts, the thesis is concerned with the question of crossing the target/mother/ mediate language and the influence of these interferences on the negotiation of meaning.

The relationship between direct regulation of an international sales contract and that under the conflict-of-law rules
Holý, Václav ; Brodec, Jan (referee) ; Kučera, Zdeněk (advisor)
The relationship between direct regulation of an international sales contract and that under the conflict of laws rules (Master's degree thesis) Abstract The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the relation between the regulation based on the CISG and the regulations based on the conflict of laws rules. The reason for my research is the important role that the unified CISG regulation plays in the international commerce and the complicated legal issues connected with its sphere of application in particular at the moment, when the nature of conflict of laws rules changes throughout Europe. My thesis is based mainly on foreign sources, German, English and Spanish in particular. It includes a representative sample of relevant court decisions and arbitral awards as well. Czech sources are used especially when dealing with theoretical and general question. Occasionally some Czech court decisions are included. The thesis is composed of three chapters, proceeding from the general issues to the specific ones. Chapter One deals with the most general questions of relation between CISG and conflict of laws rules. The chapter is subdivided into four parts. Part One describes the relation between CISG and conflict of laws rules in respect of their legal power and explains that CISG has to be applied before the conflict of...

Multicultural Education Support at Present Primary Schools.
Andrýsková, Kamila ; Moree, Dana (advisor) ; Dohnalová, Marie (referee)
This master's thesis aims to describe the quality of multicultural education at primary schools in the Czech Republic. At the same time it studies the role of NGOs and their activities in increasing the multicultural awareness of primary school pupils. The thesis used the method of the qualitative categorization of essays provided by the 9th grade students of primary schools. With respect to this research it is suggested that the students of the schools cooperating with NGOs in the field of multicultural education do not have more positive and open attitude towards foreigners than the students of the other schools, however their knowledge in the field of multicultural education is more advanced.

Landscape management - lessons from the landscape development
Petřík, Petr ; Fanta, J.
The landscape of the Czech Republic is unable to sufficiently compensate for extreme weather events such as droughts and floods within the current climate change. Damage is done to human health, property and key resources (water, soil and biodiversity), and costs are rising in agriculture and forestry. Sustainable soil management is in the public interest, and the fundamental question is how to encourage land users to farm the landscape while respecting its fine-grained mosaic and in accordance with the European Landscape Convention. For this purpose, we have set up the so-called Platform for Sustainable Landscape Management, in which research institutes even outside the Academy of Sciences are increasingly involved. The main objectives of the platform are the sharing of information, assistance in developing strategic advice and education on sustainable landscape.

Impact of the troposphere on the inosphere
Koucká Knížová, Petra ; Mošna, Zbyšek ; Potužníková, Kateřina ; Boška, Josef ; Kouba, Daniel
Ionosphere represents weakly ionized plasma that reflects solar and geomagnetic activity and processes\nin the neutral atmosphere. Correlation of long time series of the ionospheric plasma critical frequencies,\nobtained by mean of vertical sounding from European stations, is analysed with respect to latitudinal and\nlongitudinal difference and surface distance of stations. Time series of critical frequencies are highly correlated\nreflecting the dominant solar influence. Correlation coefficients are high not only for raw data and subtracted\nmean courses but for fluctuations around mean as well. At the surface distance exceeding 1000 km and/ or about\n10 degrees of latitudinal difference between stations, the correlation coefficients of fluctuations decrease\nrapidly. Such effect is less visible on the latitudinal dependence, where the correlation coefficients decrease with\nincreasing distance with less pronounced threshold. We explain the existence of the ‘break point’ at 10 degrees\nin longitude and/or 1000 km by the ‘local’ influence of the neutral atmosphere and the wave activity. As a\npossible source of the common influence on scale 1000 km/10 degree we propose tropospheric systems that are\nknown to be an important source of atmospheric waves in a broad period range. Large tropospheric mesoscale\nsystems have typically up to 2000 km in size.
