Business Plan and Investment Decisions
OROS, Petr
First of all, two investment projects are introduced: one of a small hydro power plant and the second of a wind power plant. These are then subjected to a financial analysis. Projects are evaluated on the financial analysis basis. The hypotheses are verified, project risks, proposals and measures to minimize or increase overall economic performance are determined in the thesis.
Evaluation of the effectiveness of selected investments, including the selection of the optimal method of financing
VAŠMUCIUSOVÁ, Eva
The goal of this thesis was to evaluate efficiency of selected investment and to identify adequate form of financing in regards to ensuring stability of company and minimization of cost. The company owned an old building and decided to rebuild it into a hall for breading broilers. While drafting this thesis, a subsidy was applied for; however it has not been determined yet whether or not it would be granted. Based on that, investment efficiency was evaluated for both scenarios. Company's 2012 financial accounts were used as input data. Net present value was used to calculate the investment efficiency. Two scenarios were considered: capital expenditure excluding the subsidy, and capital expenditure with subsidy granted. Based on the results, it has been determined that both investment scenarios are worth a realization. Next part was a risk analysis, where based on analysis of sensitivity the death rate was increased by one percentage point. It was followed by break-even point, which is the point at which the investment would not be worth it. The result showed that the project carries no risk. The only risk factor here is broiler death rate, which should fluctuate around 6%.
The factors of effective of advertising slogan and their consumer perception
Marešová, Marcela ; Koudelka, Jan (advisor) ; Zamazalová, Marcela (referee)
The aim of this Bachelor Thesis is besides theoretical clarification of the necessary terms, defining characteristics of an effective advertising slogan and a demonstration of their use in practice with concrete examples too. Another aim of this work is using a questionnaire survey to clarify what characteristics of slogan respondents appreciate and determination of possible relation between the attainment of specified characteristics of slogan, knowledge of slogan and evaluation of slogan by respondents. To fulfil these objectives, the synthesis was used, especially in the theoretical part. The other methods used in the Thesis were the analysis of selected slogans and carried out questionnaire survey. Using these methods work came to conclusion which characteristics of efficiency slogan are most widely used and which of these characteristics have an effect on knowledge and evaluation of slogans by respondents.
Efficiency and effectiveness of european structural funds in water protection in the Czech Republic
Hájková, Kateřina ; Slavík, Jan (advisor) ; Malý, Vítězslav (referee)
The purpose of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of structural funds of the European Union in water protection in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the research is whether public resources are used cost-effectively and whether they are not being wasted. The theoretical basis of the subsidy's issue as a tool of public policy, are discussed in the first part of the thesis. As a consequence the effectiveness and efficiency of subsidies as a main tool of European Regional Policy are also discussed. General conclusions are demonstrated on specific statistical water protection data of the Czech Republic in the second part of this thesis. Several patterns which show problems decreasing efficiency and effectiveness of expended resources were used in the research. Analysis showed that investments into water protection are necessary and needed from social point of view, but the way the subsidies are provided is controversial. Finally, the thesis attempts to discuss alternative tools which could gain the same results with lower costs.
Low-labour demanding technological procedure of monitoring of stored product beetles using traps with multi-component attractant
Stejskal, Václav ; Aulický, Radek
The aim of the work was to provide pest control, agricultural and food industry practice with information about multi-component monitoring tool for stored product pest beetles. It was evaluated the laboratory efficacy of a new trap „Multi-Insect-Trap“, containing combined pheromone and food attractant for several storage pests species. In small arenas (exposure: 74 hours, 25oC) was tested 6 species of stored product beetles. The efficacy decreased in the following order: Cryptolestes ferrugineus – 100%, Lasioderma serricorne – 100%, Oryzaephilus surinamensis - 70%, Stegobium paniceum - 70%, Sitophilus granarius – 60% and Tribolium castaneum- 40%. The work was supported by projects of Czech ministry of agriculture NAZV QH91146 and Vyzkumný zamer 0002700604.

Efektivita nástrojů podpory prodeje v sektoru FMCG
Müllerová, Lucie ; Karlíček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Stříteský, Václav (referee)
The overall goal of this thesis is to draw relevant conclusions about the nature, impact and characteristics of sales promotions within the category of ready-to-eat cereals, based on thorough analysis of their effects. It is studied, whether sales promotions are beneficial or not for the long-term sales and how the shopper behaviour is influenced by the sales promotion activities. The effects of sales promotion on the overall consumption in the category are analyzed and other factors influencing the consumption are observed.
Analysis of the GHC Clinic Prague´s communication campaign in the reality show “Mladší o pár let II”
Váňová, Michaela ; Karlíček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Chytková, Zuzana (referee)
The Bachelor's thesis focuses on efficiency of the communication campaign in the Czech reality show "Mladší o pár let II". There were performed three analyses: analysis of the efficiency with the GHC Clinic Prague as a campaign sponsor, analysis of the campaign's efficiency according to the ratings of the reality show "Mladší o pár let II" and analysis of the clinic's target group based on quantitative research.
Optimization of measurements by the HPGe detector with a very low background for achievement of the low MDA values
ČERNÁ, Kristýna
Abstract My thesis examines the measurement optimalization when the semiconductor HPGe detectors with a low background and a high relative efficiency are used for achieving low values of MDA (minimum detectable activity). I conducted my research in the Department of Spectrometry of SÚRO (National Radiation Protection Institute) in Prague. In this laboratory the standard geometries of detectors with lower efficiency are used. The aim of this thesis is to offer a proposal of new geometry, sizes and shapes of measurement cells which will better correspond with the demand for higher efficiency of updated detectors. The assignment was to find the best mathematical function to descibe the correlation between efficiency and the direction of the radiation point source towards the detector. This function is derived from experimentally obtained data. To conduct measurements, three kinds of detectors with high relative efficiency used for activity measurements at different geometries were selected. As the source of gamma radiation, the point sources with energies of 46 keV, 661 keV, 1332 keV in different distances and positions were used. The function was applied separatelly to each of the three detectors and to the areas above the detector and sidewards of the detector. The objective of the research was to project new measurement geometries or to optimalize the current ones which could be used also in other detectors with high efficiency. After integrating the function in the cylindrical area above the detector and the annular area sidewards of the detector, areas contributing substantially to the overall efficiency were determined. These areas may be considered to be the optimal sizes for new geometries in given positions. After combining all the optimal areas above the detector, sidewards of the detector and for selected energies and the detector, optimal sizes of a new geometry were found. The function can be used both in the front part and the side part of the detector but its validity is limited. The value of MDA for the particular geometry is in indirect proportion to the efficiency square root and thus this new geometry should lead to minimum values of MDA.
