It is focused on intimate violence between partners, its myths and it explores a perpetrator and victim characteristics. Children as witnesses of intimate partner violence are noticed. Then explores how domestic violence is reflected in legal context and brings information about aid from uninitiated and prevention. Practical part analyzes questionnaire concerns attitude to domestic violence and it summarizes results in evaluation.

Philosophy of Culture
Malá, Adéla ; Dolista, Josef (advisor) ; Drozenová, Wendy (referee)
In this work I am reflectioning of culture, meaning of culture and exhibition ever since the modern style after as much as present-day. My thesis divided into three main parts. In my firs thesis I am engaging in the topic of the conception of culture at Tomáše Trnky. About Trnka I target on his view on genesis and spring of culture, on meaning, profitability and metamorphoses in a time, but on negative shows too. In second chapter I analyse modern of culture ideals in pedagogy, philosophy and science. I analyse idem modern perception of arts, artistic products and influence modern of culture and arts on a religion. The third chapter is about postmodern of culture. There I affect general status actual of cultures in all human areas as are sciences, arts and religions.

Residential lease - protection of a lessor
Richtrová, Michaela ; Salač, Josef (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to point out the specific status of the lessor in the residential lease within the meaning of the Civil Code, act no. 89/2012. This thesis is composed of five chapters and additional sub-chapters. The main part of this thesis is dedicated to describing the specific areas which might weaken the status of the lessor and at the same time to state selected institutes which through correct use in the residential lease might notably increase legal certainty and status of the lessor. The first chapter serves as the introduction of lease issues and brings the general reflection over the role of lessee and lessor in this legal relationship. At the same time also sets a target of this thesis, which is the statement of the problematic areas of a lease from the perspective of the lessor and suggesting possible solutions. The second chapter includes the fundamental features of the residential lease, with the emphasis on the characteristics and distinctions from other obligations. The third chapter consists of "prohibited agreements" and their impact on a lease and status of the lessor. This chapter also includes examples of these agreements - contractual fines, animals in the flat, smoking in the flat and work or business in the flat; other subchapters are dedicated to protection of...

Influence of compressing speed and time of constant load on the energy balance of tablets
Císařová, Daniela ; Řehula, Milan (advisor) ; Musilová, Marie (referee)
Císařová Dana - Rigorózní práce - 2006 This work deals with the influence of the compression rate and time of constant load on energy balance of tablets. Theoretical part characterizes microcrystalline celluloses, describes theory of tableting and theory of the force - displacement record. The aim of the work was to find out the influence cycle rate on the force Fmax , influence of the cycle rate and dwell time on parameters of energy balance, influence of the cycle rate on mechanical resistance of tablets. The determination was carried out with tablets of microcrystalline cellulose Avicel PH 200 using T1 - FRO 50 device. It follows from the results that the higher the cycles rate the higher values of parameters Emax and E1-3. Dwell time does not influence above-mentioned parameters. Radial strength des not change with the increase of cycle rate from 0.1 to 2 mm/s. Further increase in cycle rate brings about higher strength of tablets. Optimal cycle rate is 1 mm/s.

Origins of vertebrate hematiopoiesis
Svoboda, Ondřej ; Bartůněk, Petr (advisor) ; Divoký, Vladimír (referee) ; Živný, Jan (referee)
(ENGLISH) Hematopoiesis is dependent on the actions of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). This process is tightly controlled through a complex array of extrinsic and intrinsic factors. Even though the hematopoiesis seems to be well conserved across the disparate vertebrate animals, erythroid and thrombocytic differentiation have changed during the evolution of mammals. Specifically, adult mammalian red blood cells have the unique feature of being enucleated, and mammalian thrombocytes are not individual cells, but fragments of megakaryocytes, instead. It is likely that these enhancements provided a survival advantage to early mammalian species; however, they also bring up the question of evolutionary origin of these cells that studied using zebrafish (Danio rerio) model. First, it was necessary to generate a toolbox of a recombinant cytokines and optimized culture media that allowed us to manipulate zebrafish hematopoietic cells ex vivo in liquid and clonal cultures. Interestingly, teleost species underwent an extra duplication event during their evolution and as a result, two copies (paralogs) of some of the genes are present in zebrafish. This was also the case for majority of the cytokines from our toolbox and here, we provide functional characterization of these paralogs. Strikingly, our results...

Lipid lowering treatment substantially reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The effects of lipid lowering go far beyond limiting the extent of atheroslcerotic lesions and decreasing the severity of atherosclerotic stenoses. Recently recognised effects of cholesterol on plaque stability, endothelial function, thrombosis, and plaque inflammation have been subject to intensive research during the past two decades. The effect lipid lowering treatment on the various aspects of the plaque development are being investigated in search of novel therapies to reduce the risk of ahterosclerosis. In this work, we examined cell adhesion molecules, microvascular reactivity and metalloproteinase PAPP-A in patients with hypercholesterolemia and investigated the effect of lipid lowering with atorvastatin and LDL-apheresis. Leukocyte and endothelial adhesion molecules mediate leukocyte recruitment into subendothelial space, contributing thus to plaque inflammation. PAPP-A is a protease which has been related to plaque instability and acute coronary events; it's role in stable atherosclerotic lesions hasn't been studied yet Microvascular reactivity is supposed to reflect endothelial function in the microvascular bed; the knowledge of the effect of hyperlipidemia on microvasculature is currently limited. Patients with...

Detection of drought events using combination of satellite data and soil moisture modelling
Semerádová, Daniela ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Hlavinka, Petr ; Balek, Jan ; Bohovič, Roman ; Tadesse, T. ; Hayes, M. ; Wardlow, B. ; Žalud, Zdeněk
The use of satellite data offers a potentially well usable tool to accurate drought monitoring. The study examines the space-time possibility of agricultural drought detection using freely available data from the MODIS instrument onboard Terra and Aqua satellites that reflects vegetation condition. Vegetation greenness metrics used in this study are based on the spectral reflectance curves in the visible red and near-infrared part of the spectrum and are expressed in relation to the average for the period of 2000-2014. The results are presented in weekly time step for the whole area of the Czech Republic, and are compared to the drought monitor system, based on the SoilClim dynamic model for soil water content estimates. These data, as well as other parameters, such as soil properties and land use, are integrated at 500 meters spatial resolution.

Radek Pilař "again finding childhood of arts"
Komrzýová, Adéla ; VACHEK, Karel (advisor) ; DAŇHEL, Jan (referee)
This thesis discovers personality of Radek Pilar on a personal, public and artistic level. Through personal diary entries, texts written in periodicals dealing with visual arts, interviews of different genres and unpublished reflections on the future of electronic moving image, I try to reconstruct Pilar personality and its space in the Czechoslovak context of art and time.
