Stimulating activities for the clients at the Senior Citizen Home in the context of the individual planning
ZEMANOVÁ, Marie
The bachelor work deals with leisure time activities in a given senior home. The main goal was to find out if the activities correspond with the interests and needs of the clients and if they agree with their individual plans. The study is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part has seven chapters. The first three chapters characterize the old age as the last part of life, the changes coming in this period and the needs of elderly people. The next chapter analyzes the role of stimulating activities for seniors. The importance of individual planning in residence facilities is described in the following part. The last chapter introduces the setting of the senior home where the research was undertaken. The practical part of the research looks into the ways of choosing and offering the activities. A qualitative research strategy was employed here. The survey was carried out by means of a semi-structured interview. The method of document analysis was used when studying the personal documentation. The research took place in the Senior Home in Pacov and included six clients and two social workers. The results of the interviews and individual plans are compared in a chart. The aim was to find out if the activities correspond with current individual plans. The research showed that the basis for successful planning and choosing leisure time activities is mapping the client's situation, recording it correctly and passing the information among the staff dealing with the client when providing the service. It is important for the staff to support the clients in order to motivate them, make them feel good in the residence facility and accept the activities offered. The research also proved that individual planning still hasn't become a method that all the staff is accustomed to.

In this part I first introduce both of the protagonists and then I attend to the analysis of their multi-year cooperation. Finally I deal with the evaluation of current situation on the celebrity marketing's field, with the level of using famous faces and possible future progress.

Obesity is one of the most common health problems in the Word. Over 500 million adults and over 40 million children are obese. The aim of this work is to summarize findings of causes and consequences of this health problem. Even though in some cases only genetic mutations are responsible for obesity for example mutation in ob gene or Prader-Willi syndrome most cases are caused by lifestyle of people -excessive food intake and insufficient physical activity. There are many health problems accompanying obesity. The most serious problems are metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Financial cost of treatment of obesity and related diseases are estimated in billions of dollars. Pharmacological treatment has so far proved to be ineffective. If drugs are effective, the side effects are so severe that their use is not possible. So far, the adipose tissue hormones that regulate food intake provide the best hope.
