Interior lighting design
Klement, Roman ; Florián, Michal (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a virtual prototype of a luminaire. Using suitable software tools, a luminaire optics is created and optimised. Luminaire is simulated in the interior, and lighting parameters are evaluated. Finally a suitable design is created.
Information System Assessment and Proposal of ICT Modification
Huťka, Matúš ; Kindlová, Dita (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
The object of the bachelor thesis is the analysis and suggestions for improvement of the JIRA information system used by SAP ČR spol. s r.o., which enables agile management of large-scale projects. The thesis contains the theoretical background to understand the issue which it then uses to process the analysis. In the following sections we will suggest possible solutions for improving the information system, which should help to simplify the company's internal processes.
Optimization Models of Financial Risk
Danko, Erik ; Cabalka, Matouš (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with optimization models of financial risks. The first part, which is devoted to the theoretical background, introduces the basic concepts of optimization, modern portfolio theory, fundamental and technical analysis and statistical background. The basic principles of operation of modern portfolio theory are presented. The methods for analysis and selection of assets called Growth at A Reasonable Price and portfolio optimization approach according to Harry Markowitz were used with selected methods. The practical part is focused on the data analysis, selection of assets and design of a portfolio optimization model according to selected conditions with an emphasis on minimizing investment risk. The used models examine the selected data and are solved using the MS Excel add-in Solver version.
The Study of Performance Increase Production Company
Studený, Tomáš ; Zimen, Tibor (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is an evaluation of actual condition of the sequency process in company GRUPO ANTOLIN Bratislava s.r.o. plant Žilina, find out the section of possible improvements and suggest the possible solutions of optimization, which will lead to minimization of costs and higher efficient of performed work. Suggestion for transfer of sequential workplace.
Optimization of G-Quadruplex Identification Algorithm
Labudová, Dominika ; Martínek, Tomáš (referee) ; Hon, Jiří (advisor)
Identification of G-quadruplexes in DNA has been the interest of many studies  in recent years. As a result, many identification tools were created. This bachelor's thesis focuses on analysis and optimization of a tool called pqsfinder along with creating a web interface for this tool. The optimization provided significant increase in the algorithm's speed and ability to process long DNA sequences. The web interface was designed and implemented using modern and effective technologies with emphasis on the user friendliness of the web application.
Intelligent optimization module for company information system
Zigo, Ľubomír ; Ondroušek, Vít (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
Diplomová práca sa zaoberá návrhom a realizáciou inteligentného optimalizačného modulu pre podnikový informačný systém. Optimalizačný modul bude vytvárať celoročné plány údržby s rovnomerným množstvom údržbárskych aktivít v jednotlivých týždňoch a plány pre výrobu s pravidelnými odstávkami. Takto doplnený informačný systém umožňuje vytvárať kvalitnejšie plány údržby a tým zvýšiť celkovú efektivitu podniku.
Trading of Electricity in the Current Conditions of the Czech Republic
Lomjanský, Michal ; Kacina, Michal (referee) ; Rejnuš, Oldřich (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with trading of electricity in the current conditions of the Czech Republic. First it defines the theoretical and legal aspects of the electricity market and introduces several basic terms related to the given topic such as producer, electricity dealer, end user etc. Then it analyses selected areas of an electricity dealer’s activities directed at optimization of his/her business strategy concerning electrical energy trading in the current conditions of the Czech energy market.
Design of cooling air channel for oil cooler installation in reshaped engine nacelle of L410NG aircraft
Fazekaš, Slavomír ; Lajza, Ondřej (referee) ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor)
This thesis describ es a design of co oling channel for the engine installation to the L-410NG aircraft. Firstly, it was compiled on the basis of analytical calculation of channel mo del and afterward underwent CFD analysis. In conclusion, the flowing of analytic calculation characteristics are compared with CFD analysis and there are also describ ed p ossibilities of flowing improvement for next channel mo dification.
Employment Relationship in Terms of Wage Costs Optimization
Szentkirályi, Denis ; Ptáček, Roman (referee) ; Musilová, Helena (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of labor relations with a selected employer. It focuses on optimizing the employer's wage and personnel costs in relation to the problem of staff shortages. Based on the findings of the analysis, it proposes solutions to the employer that optimize the number of employees and their personnel costs.
Back-End Design for Analytical Dashboard of Positioning System
Hrivňák, Marek ; Bardonek, Petr (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the optimization of the original solution and the design of a new solution for the storage and processing of positional data for the tool Sage Analytics of RTLS developed by Sewio Networks s.r.o. The objective of this study is to find and implement a solution to reduce the production time of Sage Analytics metrics. The optimized original solution provides in a very simple way (without the need to modify the implementation) significant acceleration in the production of metrics (for a time interval of 24 hours of displayed data) on average by up to 503 %. The proposed solution uses the InfluxDB database to store positional data and modifies the data processing in such a way, that it is compatible with the use of a new method of storing and retrieving positional data. The new solution also includes tests to check the correctness of the proposed solution. The application of this solution brings acceleration in the production of metrics (for the time interval of 24 hours of displayed data) from 725 % up to 2085 % and on average up to about 1010 %. Part of the work is also the performance of several experiments, which aim to reveal the reasons for the duration of metrics in Sage Analytics.
