Assembly workplace optimizationwith emphasis on ergonomy and loss minimization
Sobotka, Lubomír ; Štangler, Jiří (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes optimization of assembly working place of cylinder locks brand FAB company ASSA ABLOY Rychnov, s.r.o. Theoretical part deals with universal process for designing manufacturing systems and for description of selected analytical and engineered methods and ergonomics .The practical part shows evaluation of current situation and create new time standards. in accordance with are designed 3 variants of the solution for lay out working place. For each variant is created simulation model, which is explore especially working load and automatic filling machine. The various options are compared by weight valuation and the most optimal is determined by maximal work in process and optimal warehouse supply of input components.

Optimizing of Simplyfeid Circular Distributional Pipe of the Vertical Pelton Turbine with 5 Nozzles.
Halabrin, Robin ; Himr, Daniel (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with hydraulic optimization of distribution pipeline for 5 nozzle Pelton’s turbine by using CFD. The thesis is a follow-up to a previous diploma thesis which deals with the possibilities to simplify existing distribution pipeline. A few simplified versions of distribution pipelines were solved and the results show which way we should proceed towards the right solution. The simplified distribution pipeline arises from given parameters and retains the same procedure of evaluation to give us the opportunity of comparing achieved results. Two new geometries of distribution pipeline were created. They were then modified to achieve optimal distribution of discharge in each nozzle. Other criteria used for comparison were static pressure and Coriolis’ number in specific slices inside pipeline. Last but not least a simple economical analysis for selected version of distribution pipeline was carried out on the basis of which we can see the manufacturing costs of the pipeline.

Solution technology of production part cast in condition small engineering company
Gulda, Jiří ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The dissertation work focuses on the design and optimization of the castings and foundry technology and the production a particular model for the casting. The technology proposal and the pattern set building in 3D using CAD system. The casting simulation in CAE MAGMAsoft® system and evaluation of the proposed casting technology. Production of the pattern using CAD/CAM software and CNC machine tools with a focus on 3-axis and 5-axis machining. The economic benefits for the company.

Design and optimization of hydrostatic pocket space
Minář, Petr ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with an optimization of hydrostatic slide of the large-portal gantry machine FRU (TOS Kuřim). First part of the thesis concerns with an analysis of the current practice in hydrostatic guides in the field of heavy gantry machines, an usage of alternative materials for a construction of carrying parts of machines, and possibilities of current simulation methods. Aim of the second part of this thesis is a brief clarification of the principle of mathematical optimization, and creation of general methodology of construction optimization by means of system analysis. Optimization calculations were processed by ANSYS Workbench 11.0. There is achieved adjusted and optimized design of the hydrostatic slide as the result of the thesis. Moreover, the comparison of key deformations was added. Created methodology is applicable in both an area of construction of gantry machines, and a wide spectrum of construction fields.

Analysis and design business processes optimization in administration management
Vosecký, Ondřej ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Hemala, David (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on optimizing administration management in the Czech telecommunication office. The thesis has three essential objectives. The first objective is the analysis of present state of the administration management using the process modelling. The second objective is to identify the real potential for improvements of the process group. That means to specify process priority, estimate current and desired levels of process maturity, identify key activities and determine the level of process description and processing framing tables. These activities are supported by the methodically theoretical text at the first part of the thesis. The evaluation of limits determining potential improvements resulted from previous chapters and is contained in the final part of this thesis. The fundamental objective of this work is to design the optimization of the process group using the form of future projects.

Optimalization of the Ostrava airport ground control system (instead of its mobile approach radar)
Mičkal, Ondřej ; Holubec, Michal (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
This diploma thesis discusses and compares the current technologies and systems that are used to monitor and control movements on the airport surface. The paper presents the basic characteristics, operational principles and possibilities. Comparison provides an overview of their strengths and limitations in operational use. It also deals with this issue at the Ostrava Leos Janacek Airport, describes current situation and suggests how to solve problems associated with the introduction of CAT III precision approach and landing as well as monitoring and controlling of movements on the airfield under poor weather conditions.

Travelling salesman problem – delivery of postal items
Říha, Vojtěch ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to propose the process of delivering postal items by using general knowledge of the travelling salesman problem. The first part briefly describes the historical evolution concentrating on solving real problems. The second part describes the travelling salesman problem and the multiple travelling salesman problem. Emphasis is placed on heuristic algorithms, primarily on the nearest neighbour algorithm. Various modifications of the travelling salesman problems are also mentioned. In the part of the application a real problem of delivering postal items in a given area is handled in order to minimize the total time spend on delivery. For this specific type of problem a mathematical model is design as well as its possible modification for minimizing the earliest possible time of vehicle's arrival to the village. For the optimization, computer software MPL and Lingo are used. Interim results of these calculations are described in detail. Due to the complexity of the calculation the modified nearest neighbour algorithm is suggested. Its process is programmed in MATLAB software and is described in detail. In this thesis the intention of reducing the coefficient of the limit in MATLAB is also presented and then these results are applied. In the conclusion the results of heuristic algorithms are carefully analysed and compared with interim results of MPL.
