Limit behavior of the Nash equlibrium
Kovařík, Vojtěch ; Spurný, Jiří (advisor) ; Bárta, Tomáš (referee)
The subject of study of game theory - games - serves as mathematical models for real-life problems. In every game there are two or more players who aim to maximize their own profit by choosing their actions. A situation where no player can benefit from changing his own action alone has got particular importance in the study of games - it is called Nash equilibrium. Games with a finite number of players have certain advantages over those with an infinite number of players. For one, problems whose model is a game with a finite number of players are quite common. Moreover, one of the classical results of game theory is that (with certain additional assumptions) in every game with a finite number of players there exists a Nash equilibrium. On the other hand, when trying to describe the properties of a game with an infinite number of players we might be able to use calculus instead of going trough all possibilities (as is common for games with a finite number of players), which tends to be computationally demanding. However, if we want to use these advantages of games with an infinite number of players, it is important first to know whether there is any relationship between games with a finite and infinite number of players at all. The goal of this thesis is to define terms and to introduce tools which would allow...

Czech society at the beginning of normalization
Fejtl, Michal ; Bureš, Jan (advisor) ; Štefek, Martin (referee)
The thesis discusses the influence of three levels of Czech society after the year 1968. The first plane is the ideology of the new regime, which is called normalization. It was possible to force people to loyalty by Marxism-Leninism? And what ideological basis had the the normalization regime in Czechoslovakia, which was to legitimize his power? Second and broadmost is the plane of the social policy of the state. Since 1945 a large social network is developing in Czechoslovakia that has a great success especially in the consolidation of the new communist regime in the early 50th of the 20 century. After 1968, the situation is different than 20 years ago. This chapter focuses on each single area of social policy and examines the positive sides, but also negative ones. What had normalization social policy succeed in and what was the extent to which it led to consolidation of postaugust society in Czechoslovakia? On the other hand the text will be dealing with the negative aspects of social benefits offered by the regime. These negatives then largely contributed to the collapse of the regime at the end of 1989. The third chapter examines the extent of the early normalization strong criminal repression and their complexion. Social policy of the state in this part gets through with penal repression and...

The importance of income on subjective well-being
Sedlář, Jan ; Baxa, Jaromír (advisor) ; Skuhrovec, Jiří (referee)
1 Abstract My Bachelor thesis deals in a comprehensive way with the discussion unleashed by the publication of the Easterlin's article which called attention to more complex relations between the absolute level of income and the subjective well-being than the economic theory would ever assume . There is the literature shown which finds the explanation why the relation - the absolute level of income and the subjective well-being - does not hold without exceptions. A special attention is devoted to the human behaviour: comparison of the individual's situation with the situation of his reference group, comparison of the individual's situation with the situation he was accustomed to in the past, the individual's adaptation to the new situation and change of his aspiration and on the overvaluation of the benefits from the achieved goal. The first characteristic is tested experimentally with use of the analogy: the income as the evaluation of the job performance, the mark as the evaluation of the student. The experiment did not prove that the comparison of the student with his reference group would have the influence on his own performance. The second part of my thesis is focused on the description of the relationship between the gross national income per capita and the satisfaction of the inhabitants from the...

User support 4ft-Miner procedure for data mining
Kupka, Daniel ; Ralbovský, Martin (referee) ; Rauch, Jan (advisor)
Up to now the file of knowledges with 4ft-Miner procedure was concerned only in the heads of data mining analysts. So, it was usefull, pursuant many analyses, to collect advices and experiences for data mining. This file of advices is also a part of this work. Furthermore, theoretical findings about using applicable 4ft-quantifiers according to practical situation are presented. This work also contains proposal of two new 4ft-quantifiers - above negation quantifier and pairing quantifier. For ASSOC-procedures users web application for collecting, editing advices, experiences and background knowledges is discribed and implemented. Benefit of this application is also in structuralization of inserted informations. The work also contains common design and the description of implementation of the tool for advices creation in Ferda DataMiner environement. Here, proceeding from possibilities ordered by their priority can be choosen. Informations provided by this tool are not only static, but they react on results of present and last analyses.

Kučová, Petra ; Hedbávný, Petr (advisor) ; Luňáčková, Petra (referee)
During 1990s, pension reforms took place in 7 Latin American countries. This paper focuses on pension reforms in two countries of the region - namely Peru and Bolivia. Apart from describing reforms, the paper deals with indexation of pensions. Using data from Peru, it examines whether the consumer price index is an appropriate indicator for indexing pension benefits. Section I adumbrates economic and demographic situation in Latin America and history of local pension systems. Next section is devoted to the pension system in Peru, its reform and subsequent adjustments. The third section describes the reform and its modification in Bolivia. Section IV summarizes and compares examined reforms. Final section analyses costs of living of particular income groups in Peru. Results show that 55-60 % of pensioners faced lower inflation than was the overall inflation in the country during the period 1995-2003. Therefore, indexing pensions with consumer price index is advantageous for more than half of pensioners.

Šilhavík, Petr ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Maule, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis describes the current state of gambling regulation mostly in the Czech republic and in the United kingdom. One of the main topics is the legislation framework of gambling in these two countries. It also analyzes the social costs and benefits of gambling and mentions some statistical data. There are also evaluations of results of some studies, that were studying the actual social impacts of gambling on people. The United kingdom was chosen, because their gambling industry is not controlled by the government, like in the Czech republic. It is controlled by non-governmental institution called The U.K. Gambling commission. This thesis proves that the non-state regulated gambling environment in the United kingdom shows much better results than state regulated one in the Czech republic.
