The Involvement of the Czech Republic in the Post-conflict Reconstruction in Afghanistan

This thesis refers to the solution to the ongoing conflict in one of the poorest and most unstable states in the world -- in Afghanistan. Historical aspects of this conflict lasting since 2001 are analysed as well as factors determining the character of the Afghan society. Further, this thesis deals with the development of the conflict and with the post-conflict reconstruction, which will contribute considerably to its solution. There are lots of internal and external participants in the post-conflict reconstruction. One of them is the Czech Republic operating as a member of the international community. The Czech contribution is thoroughly described in the case study, which forms the last chapter of this thesis.
Economic relationship between the Czech Republic and Germany

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the trade between the Czech Republic and Germany from 2000 to the present and to evaluate the impact of international trade of these two countries on the Czech economy. The bachelor thesis begins with the description of economic fundamentals of both countries and then follows on with the evolution of international trade of Czech Republic. The next chapter deals with the trade cooperation between the Czech Republic and Germany and the concluding chapter concentrates on pro-export policies in the Czech Republic.
Market research in Czech Republic and its development

The paper deals mainly with the market research in the Czech Republic but also contains a part which deals with the market research in Czechoslovakia. The first part of the paper is theoretical, contains the basic theoretical characteristic of the market research-its definition, its goal, its origin, selected types of research, selected methods of research and the code of the market research. The second part is concerned with the market research from the period before World War II until the end of the last millenium. This part focuses on researchers, themes of researches used methods and on the role of the association SIMAR within the context of economic, and political background and the technical progress. The last part of the paper contains further development of the market research in the Czech Republic until present-again in the context of the economic and political background and the technical progress, and also an outline of the possible future trends in the market research in the Czech Republic are involved in this part.
Comparative analysis of asylum policy in Czech Republic and Slovakia

The thesis analyzes the evolution and current situatuon of asylum policies of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Part of the work is devoted to the asylum question in European Union, the development of common immigration and asylum policy a the consequences of legislative harmonisation that introduced important changes into legslative frames of both countries. The main objective of the work is comparative analysis based on statistical data.
Economic relations of the Czech Republic and Ukraine

The aim of this work is to analyze the current situation in Ukraine and the present Czech-Ukrainian cooperation, as well as outlining the possible direction of the development of their mutual relations in the future. Emphasis is placed primarily on investment opportunities in the Ukrainian territory, because of the great potential that is aviable in Ukraine. The work contains the economic characteristic of Ukraine and analysis of key issues, which the Ukraine has to deal with. It also provides an overview of the development of trade cooperation between the Czech Republic and Ukraine, and the theoretical as well as concrete investment opportunities in Ukraine are suggested.
Causes, course and consequences of present financial crisis and its effect on the Czech republic

The bachelor thesis is focused on financial crisis which began almost three years ago in the USA when the real estate bubble burst. The main goal of this treatise is to explain the most important events that had happened before the burst and led to contemporary problems. It is written in a understandable way. However, everybody can obtain some useful information about crisis and discover that it has been happening on and off since the world became more smaller due to globalization. The thesis is divided into three central chapter. The first one shows us causes of the "big bang" on the american real estate market. It also describes very frequently used term securitization and policy of FED. Morever, we mention symbiotic relationship between China and the USA. The second part clarifies the situation after the burst and briefly refers to visible impacts that will influence our future. I would like to point out the importance of Sovereign Wealth Funds in next years. The last part concentrates on the Czech Republic. Our attention starts at the description of the Czech economy before the crisis, then we go on to crystallise the behavior of our currency CZK during year 2008. The Czech public finance come up at the end.
Economic relations between The Czech Republic and Spain

First chapter deals with the general characteristics of Spain, focuses on basic information about Spain and also describes the development and the value of the current macro-economic indicators and compares them with the Czech values. The end of chapter is dedicated to basic cultural differences of Spain. The second chapter is divided into five sections. The first part deals with the legal background of mutual relations. The second focuses on the analysis of the development, volume, commodity and territorial structure of trade in goods. In addition, offers an overview of the most important exporters and importers and a vision of future cooperation. Next part is similar analysis of trade in services. The fourth section contains the characteristics of foreign direct investment (current trends, volume,investment flows, the most important investors from both countries, prospective areas of investment). Last, the fifth part of the second chapter, is my own evaluation of mutual relations based on the data from the previous sections.
The Fight of the Czech Republic against Unemployment with Help of the European Union

The aim of the thesis is to introduce and evaluate usage of instruments and arrangements which the Czech Republic keeps at disposal in fight with unemployment. That means not only the usage of national instruments but also arrangements of the European Union. The beginning of thesis describes the basic theory of unemployment. Next two parts address the employment policy of the Czech Republic and the European Union and introduce programs of the European Social Fund used in the Czech Republic. The next part analyzes development of unemployment in the Czech Republic from 1989 until the recent economic crises. The fifth part evaluates the usage of instruments of active employment policy, especially requalification, financial means from the European Social Fund and evaluates the realized project. The end of the thesis includes suggestions how to solve unemployment.
Interregional Migration - Position, Development and Specificity of the Capital City of Prague

The diploma thesis deals with migration of human population in the Czech Republic, with a focus on position of the capital city of Prague in the process. The thesis concerns on migration trends among regions of the Czech Republic, and deals with the process of suburbanization within the specific relationship between Prague and districts of the Central Bohemian Region. The subject of my diploma is also internal and external migration of foreigners as a more significant phenomenon in czech society, with the emphasis on Prague as well. The thesis includes evaluation of the basic structural characteristics of inmigrants and outmigrants (migration by age, sex, educational attainment) and also examination of reasons of migration in the area and its consequences with expectations about future trends. There are common used, relative indicators of migration in the thesis. The analysis was carried out in 1994--2007, in some cases in shorter period.
The analysis of employment in the finance and insurance sector in the Czech Republic

The main goal of this thesis is the analysis of the employment progress in one of the most prospective sectors of the Czech economy -- the finance and insurance sector. The sector is characterised and classified and the main historic, economic and legislative determinants are addressed in the theoretical part of this thesis. The main focus of the subsequent analytical part of the thesis is the employment progress of the sector from the perspective of profession, age, culture and branch. An additional goal of the thesis is to compare the labour force demand of the finance and insurance sector with the structure of school-leavers who will come into their own through the sector. I conclude the thesis by evaluating future potential trends and employment progress.
