Doppler's sensor beat freqeuncy proccessing
Dušek, Martin ; Macho, Miloslav (referee) ; Fuchs, Michal (advisor)
This work is engaged in ways of objects speed measuring mainly helped by Doppler Effect. The sensor HB410 is described in this work and its possible elaboration output heterodyne analog signal. The calculation of objects speed is deduced from frequency of heterodyne signal. In this work is projected circuit solution for elaboration of analog signal and its digitalization. Available types and nature of microcontrollers which are elaborating digital signal and communicating with PC are summarized in this work. In the last chapter is described microcontroller's driving software and PC software for speed measure.

Methods for biomedical image signal segmentation
Krumpholc, Lukáš ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Přinosil, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with methods of segmentation of biomedical image signals. It describes, sums up and compares representative methods of digital image processing. Segmentation based on parametric representation is one of the mentioned methods. So as the basic parameter can be chosen for example luminance and the final binary image is obtained by thresholding. Next described method is segmentation based on edge representation. This method can be divided into edge detection by the help of edge detectors and of Hough transformation. Edge detectors work with the first and second derivation. The following method is region-based segmentation, which can be used for a image with noise. This category can be divided into three parts. The first one is segmentation via splitting and merging regions, when the image is split and the created regions are tested on a defined condition. If the condition is satisfied, the region merges and doesn’t continue splitting. The second one is region growing segmentation, when adjacent pixels with a similar intensity of luminance are grouped together and create a segmentated region. Third one is watershed segmentation algorithm based on the idea of water diffusion on uneven surface. The last group of methods is segmentation via flexible and active contours. Here is described an active shape model proceeding from a possibility to deform models so that they match with sample shapes. Next I also describe method Snakes, where occurs gradual contour shaping up to the edge of the object in the image. For the final editing is used mathematical morphology of segmentated images. I aimed to meet methods of image signals segmentation, to cover the chosen methods as a script in programming language Matlab and to check their properties on images.

Library for graphic objects for microcontrollers Atmel AVR and graphic displays
Skopal, Miroslav ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is concerned about the graphic LCD display control by the Atmel´s AVR microprocessors. Toshiba T6963 controller is described in detail. The overall result of my bachelor’s thesis is the modular library written in C language (GCC). It provides a set of functions for simple graphic objects and controls drawing. The library is designed as a multi - layered one. It supports the usage of different LCD display controllers without any extensive program code modification.

Conversion of VI. electrical Exchange, Ostrava - DOV
Navrátil, Oldřich ; Zemánek, Václav (referee) ; Zemánková, Helena (advisor)
In my diploma project I do reconstruction and looking for new program for old industrial building in Vitkovice iron factory area. This building is part of Cultural heritage and we have to apply all heritage criteria on this. The building is big hall - big space with two old machines. Now the machines don’t work anymore. My idea is to connect this old indutry area with the rest of the city – with still living part of the city – and bring here new life. Students are new young blood. So I decided to put on part of Ostrava Technology University here. The other buildings will be used as a business center and research center. Great interaction for future – University, Business and Research center.

Noise impact of combustion engine exhaust systems
Ptáček, Petr ; Knotek, Jiří (referee) ; Zubík, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on creating a research study about noise of combustion engine exhaust systems. Introducing of this work coves all parts of common exhaust systems while mostly focused on silencers. It further describes several methods of measuring the noise established by legislation and at its end it deals with a noise impact of exhaust system treatments.

Detection of cyanobacteria in raw water by in vivo fluorescence
Gregor, Jakub ; Šípková, H. ; Maršálek, Blahoslav
A method for fluorescence detection and quantification of cyanobacteria in raw water was implemented at the drinking water treatment plant. The procedure of implementation and calibration of the method is described.

Creation of CSR report by using GRI reporting framework: case study Siemens Czech Republic
Cacková, Silvie ; Machek, Martin (advisor) ; Kolouchová, Daniela (referee)
This Master´s Thesis is focused on reporting of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR reporting). The purpose of this thesis is to create CSR report for company Siemens Czech Republic for the year 2014. Theoretical part is dedicated to introduce the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility and Stakeholder concept. The next part is focused on relation between CSR concept and CSR reporting, its benefits and trends. The last theoretical part introduces applicable standards regarding CSR reporting, the attention is put on company GRI and its reporting framework. Practical part deals with Siemens Czech Republic, there is described process of reporting with disclosed CSR report for this chosen company. The version G3.0 of GRI standard was used for create this report.

The use of art therapy approaches in working with socially disadvantaged children
SPÁLENSKÁ, Dagmar
Presented dissertation thesis endeavours to specify possible usage and effects of art therapy within visual arts education of socially and culturally disadvantaged children at the setting of primary and secondary schools and in the Children Centre. Theoretical section first clarifies the term "socially and culturally disadvantaged", than presents findings regarding the influence of socially disadvantageous background on social skills, the role of family and education style. One chapter is devoted to the education of handicapped children. This chapter further focuses on importance of creativity for children and on developmental aspects that influence the use of art therapy. Practical section comprises of two parts: Education at Special Primary School, which features a casuistry of a girl with middle level of mental retardation, living in socially disadvantaged family. Her artwork is used to show her cognitive and emotional development. Second part of practical section presents four case studies of children, which due to their family situation had to be placed in Children Centre Strakonice, an intervention facility for children in need of immediate help. First case study features a boy who lived in the Children Centre from one year of his age until the time when he was, based on the decision of the court, placed in Children Home. There he was together with his younger brother, who was located there immediately after his birth. Second case study features a boy who was placed in the Centre by provisionary court decision and returned to his mother's custody after several months of investigation. Third case study presents the artwork of a boy placed in the Centre based on his parents requirement, as they struggled to provide him with proper upbringing. He left the Centre and returned into the family care. Some changes were suggested regarding the parent's approach to the child. The fourth case study concerns a girl, who was placed in the Centre based on her mother requirement. This girl also returned to her mother's custody, who in the mean time gave birth to a second child. Each case study includes a description of individual approach to each child, all based on their individual needs while dealing with their personal situation. This thesis presents specific forms of art therapeutic education in this environment, it's influence on psychological settings and communicativeness of children.

Concentrations of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) and its development in groundwater of the selected area
PETRÁŠKOVÁ, Kateřina
This diploma thesis deals with the comparison of the development of nitrates and phosphates in various regions of the Czech Republic. The thesis contains of the description of the circulation of groundwater and its importance to the human society, the circulation of nitrogen and phosphorus and their occurrence in waters. Further, this thesis incorporates the description of the development and the way of observation of the concentration of nitrates and phosphates in groundwater. The selection of observational objects and used methods for the evaluation of the concentrations are described in the thesis. The aim of the thesis is the determination of trends of the concentrations of nitrates and phosphates during time periods and the statistical evaluation of the progress of the concentrations in regional cities of the Czech Republic. The next part of the thesis deals with the spatial analysis of the concentrations of nitrates and phosphates in the region of České Budějovice. This area was chosen for its great amount of the observational objects with a long time period of measuring.
