Constraint satisfaction for HW/SW verification
Cigler, Luděk ; Vomlelová, Marta (referee) ; Barták, Roman (advisor)
Constraint satisfaction techniques (CSP) are a powerful framework for modeling and solving various problems in artificial intelligence and operations research. Verification of HW and SW can profit from employing constraint satisfaction for test generation. The essential property of a CSP algorithm (wrt. test generation) is the uniform generation of solution samples. We present several algorithms for sampling solutions of a CSP and extend them so that they can be used for sampling solutions of CSP with preferences. We test the performance of our algorithms on various benchmark problems.

The first part focuses on theoretical causes of crises, possibilities of their prevention and attempts to anticipate coming economic problems. The work deals with the study of Argentina's systemic crisis in the second section. We can observe on historical emergence of economy and behaviour its representatives that country had conditions leading to depression for long time. The work tries to answer questions like whether government was able to avoid the crisis and why its economic incidences were so catastrophical. The extend of the adverse effects is shown on main macroenomic indicators by the help of tables and graphs.

Present state and perspectives of fulfilling Millennium Development Goals in Africa
Nevěřilová, Naďa ; Stuchlíková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Němečková, Tereza (referee)
The objective of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the Millenium Development Goals project -- its procedures and up to now effects. I would like to try to find out if it is truth that activities of UN within this project have no results, eventually I would try to identify a problem and suggest possible solutions. The evaluation of this project is reduced to two of the total number of eight goals and to the region of Sub-Saharan Africa. First part of this work describes a subject-matter and a purpose of this project. It is concerned with theme poverty and with a historical background of rise of problems with poverty in Sub-Saharan countries. Then there are described methods which UN uses for monitoring of reaching the defined goals. Ways of financing an assistance for developing countries are also described. Second part of the work is aimed at the first goal of the project which is: eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. This part begins with adumbration of possible ways and methods of measuring and identifying poverty. Afterwards there is described and evaluated a state and a progress of fulfilling this goal. Perspectives of future progress are also adumbrated. Third part is concerned with the sixth goal of the evaluated project: combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases. After an introduction to the issue, there is also considered a state and a progress of reaching the goal and a possible future progress is presented.

Financing of an enterprise - economic and legal issues
Vagenknecht, Dalibor ; Hraba, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Borkovec, Aleš (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the subject of financing of a business. Its general purpose, in accordance with the given diploma project tasks, is to provide its reader with a variety of knowledge on the topic up to the point they can make their own financial decisions. To fulfill the given task, the first few chapters aim at describing terms essential for the topic, such as a business, a firm, finance and the whole process of financing. It notices the difference between definitions of financing throughout the English speaking world. As many of the described terms have more than one meaning, usually a meaning given by the economic theory as well as a fairly different legal meaning, both are provided. The scope of the thesis is the Czech legal environment, therefore only Czech legal definitions are given. Then a short description of possible varieties of the firm is brought - including its size, possible risks and costs. Afterwards the very basics of accounting are explained - with the respect for the topic. A description of basic rules of thumb concerning equity-debt ratio of a business is given then and the financial leverage is briefly explained. Afterwards a broader topic of investments is deeply analyzed. Next few chapters of the thesis deal with the topics, such as time value of money,...

Family in socio-educational context
Hrubá, Jana ; Lorenzová, Jitka (referee) ; Poláčková, Věra (advisor)
The diploma paper targets an influence of social events to evolution of a person within the frame of a family and possibilities of education against negative impacts of social events. The aim of this paper is to map current situation in the problematic of social events and possibilities of social help; theoretically and practically verify the extend of its influence upon education in Czech families and institutions of foster families; and show possibly solutions by the means of correct educational instrumentality. Possibilities and limits of education in a traditional family and foster families in SOS villages were defined by using analyses of main social events and their significance for functionality of a family, comparison of a current family and foster families. There is a conformity and difference in actual problems, educational approaches, value structure. Causal relationship of influence of social events to quality of educational instrumentality upon an individual was confirmed. Empiric research in the field of actual problems of a current family (questionnaire, public inquiry, observation), foster family in SOS village Doubí Karlovy Vary (case reports), analysis of main social events and possibilities of social help within the frames of the Czech Republic today and after 1st January 2007, were the...

Multichannel blind deconvolution of color images
Brantál, František ; Šorel, Michal (referee) ; Šroubek, Filip (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to get acquainted with methods for degradation removal (deconvolution) in scalar images in the case when no apriori information about the shape of convolution masks is known (blind deconvolution) but more than one image acquisition with different degradation is available (multichannel deconvolution). Propose possible approaches for extending blind deconvolution into multivalued (color) images using regularization forms. Implement proposed techniques and verify performance not only on synthetic data but also on real data.

Integration of Heterogeneous Information Systems
Kulhánek, Jiří ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Král, Jaroslav (referee)
Information systems are becoming an inseparable part of today's world. Together with their significance arise an emergency to integrate them to enable their mutual cooperation and so extend the facility and quality of their use. Nevertheless, this integration is carrying a number of difficulties and obstacles, which are needed to be dealt with by architects of these new and often unexplored solutions. In this work the given problematic is summarized, the basic concepts of possible approaches are introduced and the concrete challenge connected to the integration are aimed together with the ways how to solve them. Thanks to this, the project Integration of Information Systems of Charles University with its architecture of Data-Pile structure and the project Unitary Network of Italian Government as an example of Cooperating Information System can be analyzed in detail. These two integrating solutions from practice are illustrative examples of actual problems in this field, which we face in this day and age.
