The aim was to test the methods for suppression 50 Hz noise with adaptive filtering. When using the general scheme of adaptive and deterministic scheme to suppress hum. The work is a theoretical derivation of adaptive algorithms and some examples of modeling in MATLAB.
Implementation of the channel equalization algorithms used in FMT modulation
Krejča, Libor ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
The objective of Diploma thesis is design of analysis tool for equalizers used in FMT modulation. The model of transmission channel was designed for simulations with FMT. The transmission path is modeled by test loop, which corresponds to DSL line. For this reason, some principles of DSL technology is described in the thesis. The principles of multicarrier modulation are introduced in first part. The multicarrier modulation with filter bank (FMT) is described in detail. The different methods of design the fiter bank are given and compared. Channel equalization are introduced in second part. The attention was focused on minimum mean square error filtering (MMSE). Decision feedback channel equalizer (DFE) is extended from linear MMSE equalizer. DFE equalizers were programmed in analysis tool. For computation of equalizer coeficients was used also equalizers based on adaptive algorithms and MMSE. The last part describes the results of DFE equalizers used in communication system with FMT modulation. Analysis tool was programmed in MATLAB with a graphical user interface. It allows to show mean square error, signal-to-noise ratio and transmission speed dependence on delay between original and distorted signal. Signal-to-noise ration is displayed also in individual subchannels and users can display mean square error dependence on different orders of DFE filters.
Basic Inorganic Production E-learning Study Materials Processing
Valenčík, Jan ; Pilátová, Ivana (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with e-learning (its definition, forms, usage, positive and negative aspects), LMS and LCMS systems, and the basic elements needed for the formation of the interactive teaching aids that could help improve the e-learning quality. The output is a teaching software including visual animations used for learning the basic inorganic produces in the chemical industry (acids, metals, gases productions, etc.) designed especially for the students of the 1st class at the Faculty of Chemistry by Brno University of Technology, and for the general public as well. The visualisations have been created by means of the PC programme Adobe Flash, which offers a wide variety of interesting options to make up numerous animations that are not only illustrative but also visually attractive. The application comprises 20 production animations of basic inorganic compounds which are mostly exploited in the chemical industry, in school labs and during inorganic chemistry lessons. The emphasis is placed on a vivid presentation of the acid production process, and on the interactivity and visual aspect.
Chemical Calculations E-learning Study Materials Processing
Košová, Hana ; Stehlík, Marek (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
The theme of this bachelor thesis is e-learning, instruments needed for creation of create e-learning applications, creation as such, work with basic elements forming e-learning applications and evaluation of quality of e-learning projects by Faculty of Chemistry on Brno University of Technology and Masaryk University Brno. The practical output of this thesis is a tutorial for chemical calculations focused on concentration, thinning and blending of solutions, dissolvability and crystallization. It is intended for the 1st year Faculty of Chemistry students. The tutorial was created using Adobe Flash whereas many of the instruments of this program were used. Each chapter consists of two parts. In the first part, brief theoretical information is displayed, with focus on the visual aspect. This is achieved by using visual animations, for example dissolution of crystals. The second part deals with exemplary calculations on a given subject.
Learning Management System in medical facility
Škoda, Jiří ; Potančok, Martin (advisor) ; Vencovský, Filip (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on Learning Management Systems and use of e-learning in a medical facility as a tool for education. The aim of this thesis is the definition of Learning Management Systems and e-learning, mapping needs of a medical facility in education of employees and necessary aspects for choice and implementation of a learning management system in the facility. Practical part of the thesis is focused on analysis of recently implemented LMS Moodle in the Vysočina region and developing a manual for creation and administration of electronic courses. The aims are achieved by using available relevant sources, consulting in respective institutions and using LMS Moodle. My own contribution in this work is the manual for creation and administration of electronic courses and transformation of a mandatory training course at the Jihlava hospital to electronic form using LMS Moodle.
E-learning applications and data security
Menčík, Jan ; Veber, Jaromír (advisor) ; Čermák, Radim (referee)
This bachelor's thesis addresses the topic of security threats for web applications, with the practical part presenting a security assessment of selected e-learning applications. It describes the most common current threats for web applications, attack techniques and security techniques. The web environment gave rise to a whole range of techniques for breaching the security of web applications, and this thesis therefore presents the most common threats. The second part of the thesis introduces security techniques, both general techniques based on securing the protocol and techniques against specific threats. The protocol on which an application runs is one of the most important security components, and therefore the thesis analyses the functioning of the HTTPS protocol and its security layers in greater detail. The following part provides an analysis of the field of e-learning security. The reader learns about the security risks which he can encounter in operating open source e-learning solutions. The conclusion of the theoretical part describes the basic principles of security testing by means of the methods defined by the Open Web Application Security Project. The practical part of the thesis deals with the results of security testing of three selected open-source software systems: Moodle, Dokeos and eFront. The testing was focused on threats introduced in the theoretical part of the thesis and uses the findings from the OWASP Testing Guide v3. Individual testing attacks, their results and overall security recommendations are described for every tested e-learning system. The conclusion of the practical part provides an overall assessment of the tested systems.
Electronic learning materials in tertiary education
Hejl, Daniel ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
The thesis is focused on learning materials at University of Economics Prague. In the con-text of modern trends in tertiary education it highlights opportunities to improve learning process with electronic learning materials. The theoretical part discusses the role of learn-ing materials and e-learning in tertiary education. The practical part then continues to ana-lyse the current situation of learning materials at the University of Economics. The main focus of the thesis is on the availability of high quality electronic learning materials. When looking for possible solutions the thesis also explores approaches used at other universities in the Czech Republic and abroad. It concludes with evaluation of possible solutions and makes recommendations for improving the situation with electronic learning materials at the University of Economics.
Ways of using e-learning in teaching of physics at basic school
BEDNÁŘ, Vít
Thesis theoretical part based on research describes the different types of e-learning with its development and particularly with pedagogical context in elementary school, and also with its psychosocial aspects. Presents the possibility of using the multimedia in Physics teaching. Furthermore, the practical part describes a concrete deployment of LMS Moodle for Physics teaching - branch Fluids for the blended learning teaching style and compares it with the traditional way of teaching.
Development of new modules for Moodle LMS
DRLÍK, Martin
The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze issues that come with the development of Moodle LMS modules. The theoretical part is devoted to the research of Moodle 2.0 programming framework capabilities, followed by the methodology of creating modules based on this platform. The verification of methodology is provided in the practical part by the development of a specific module, along with the effective installation of Moodle 2.0 LMS and documentation, that describes its functionality, installation procedure, critical points and a test of portability between other versions of this system.
