The out come of the thesis is a practical demonstration of a chosen example.

Konstrukce výnosové křivky
Antas, Vilém ; Stádník, Bohumil (advisor) ; Teplý, Petr (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to analyze the mathematical apparatus of the most widespread methods used for the yield curves construction. It aims to introduce not only the various of construction models but also to describe the whole process of creation, while discussing the advantages and disadvantage of individual methods. The first chapter focus on the general theory and the use of the term structure of interest rates in practice. The second part deals with the construction process itself and describes the most frequently used methods. The last chapter then shows the real application of selected methods on given data set and the use of the constructed yield curves for interest rate derivative valuation too.

Analysis of inflation in the Czech Republic
Holakovská, Adéla ; Formánek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Dlouhá, Zuzana (referee)
This work is focused on econometric analysis of inflation in the Czech Republic, there is also reported an analysis of inflation in Austria and continuity of both countries to the dominant German economy. The inflation with its forms and possibilities of measuring is described in the first part of this work. There is also mentioned the influence of Czech national bank on the inflation. Next, there is shown the impact of foreign exchange rates and inflation. Consequently there are described characteristics of time series, which are important from viewpoint of construction of econometric models. Next, there is described theory of econometrics analysis, focused on ordinary least squares method and method of instrumental variables. The empirical part contains econometric analysis of inflation itself, using models described in theoretical part. Moreover, this work includes other models, coming out of economic hypothesis. Firstly, it analyses inflation in Germany as the reference country. Secondly, further analysis performs inflation in the Czech Republic and Austria. Finally, an analysis based on ERPT (exchange rate pass-through) models is given. In conclusion, the results are well summarized and compared.

Industry 4.0 in Czech Republic
Dvořák, Miroslav ; Lorenc, Miroslav (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
The thesis reviews the current situation related to the Industry 4.0 and puts it into context. In the first part of the thesis, there is an introduction to the current economic situation and the major challenges. The concept and vision of Industry 4.0 is introduced together with the world's leading initiatives and examples of Industry 4.0 technologies in manufacturing processes presented by tech leaders. The thesis also includes examples of readiness models and simulated calculation ROCE. The finding of the thesis is that, although the very concept of Industry 4.0 is not well known, digitization and automation of production continues and both are considered a necessity. Interviews with experts from the business practice in the Czech Republic introduces key opportunities and challenges arising from new technologies and when they might become the new standard.

Methodic of vertical deflections determination of bridge construction by the radar interferometric technology
Antoš, Filip ; Talich, Milan ; Glöckner, M. ; Böhm, Ondřej ; Soukup, Lubomír ; Havrlant, Jan ; Závrská, M. ; Šolc, Jakub
The methodology provides guidance for determining the vertical deflection of bridge structures using radar interferometry technology. The vertical deflection of bridges are primarily caused by stress during transit of vehicles. The deflections are simultaneously measured by radar throughout the length of the monitored structure. The measurement is continuous with a high sampling frequency (200 Hz) and with high precision (0.01 mm). It is believed the use of interferometric radar IBIS-S Italian manufacturer IDS. General recommendations and conclusions are valid for every kind of radar.

Theoretical and methodological perspective of cross-national comparative surveys (Application of cluster analysis in comparative analyses of European Social Survey)
Anýžová, Petra ; Vinopal, Jiří (advisor) ; Buriánek, Jiří (referee)
The thesis deals with the theoretical and methodological perspectives of comparative cross-national surveys. The importance of these perspectives currently increases, especially because of the creation of extensive continual international programs, as for instance European Social Survey, which realize quantitative researches with broad range of social topics. The Czech Republic began to engage in these international projects after 1989. The first goal of my thesis was to map the contributions which comparative studies bring into the combination of the theory and research in the area of sociology and illustrate the ability of comparative studies to contribute to the constructions of new theories and verifications of already existing theories. The thesis focuses also on the description of specific attributes which separate comparative studies from the standard monocultural studies. The second goal of my thesis was to describe methodological background of comparative survey researches with an emphasis on the concept of equivalence in cross-national research and on the achieving of quality of international surveys. Apart from the general methodological characterization an attention was paid to the specific approaches of the analysis of collected international data. Cluster analysis seems to be the most...

The Complex Diagnostics of Reinforced Concrete Construction
Balas, Jan ; Heřmánková, Věra (referee) ; Anton, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the diagnostics reinforced concrete girder bridge near the village Bílčice. The aim is to inspect the bridge, to describe disorders and their causes, propose and evaluate diagnostic methods to obtain the necessary data for determining the load capacity bridge.

Overlapping domain decomposition preconditioners for elliptic and parabolic problems in primal and mixed form
Blaheta, Radim
In this lecture, we concern the numerical solution of PDE problems and describe overlapping domain decomposition, which provides a tool for the construction of parallelizable Schwarz type iterative solvers and preconditioners. The idea of using overlapping domain decomposition goes back to Schwarz alternating method from 1870, see [1]. The analysis of this alternating iterative method was evolved by great mathematicians, see e.g. S.L. Sobolev (1936), R. Courant and D. Hilbert (1937), S.G. Michlin (1951), M. Práger (1958), I. Babuška (1958), F.E. Browder (1958). The use of overlapping domain decomposition for parallel computations started in the late eighties in the work of M. Dryja and O. Widlund [4], P.L. Lions [5, 6], S. Nepomnyaschikh [7] and others and continue up to the present days. The origin of the alternating Schwarz method is nicely described in [8].

Postranslational modifications in DNA damage response
Moudrý, Pavel ; Hodný, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Malcová, Ivana (referee) ; Mistrík, Martin (referee)
Our genetic material is continually challenged by varieties of factors and processes that represent enormous threat to our ability to transmit genetic information to our offspring and to our survival as well. Cells possess many mechanisms capable of detecting and repairing damaged DNA, collectively known as DNA damage response (DDR). DDR activities must be tightly regulated in a spatiotemporal and DNA lesion-specific manner to optimize repair and prevent alterations in DNA during normal cellular processes. Defects in DNA repair drive genomic instability and may ultimately lead to cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. This work is a compilation of 4 projects focused on molecular mechanisms of DNA damage response and assembly of multiprotein signalling and repair complexes at sites of DNA damage. We identified nuclear pore component NUP153 as a novel factor specifically required for 53BP1 nuclear import and DDR. We showed that NUP153 knockdown prevents 53BP1 from entering the nuclei in newly forming daughter cells, which translates to decreased IR-induced 53BP1 foci formation, delayed DNA repair, impaired survival after IR and exacerbates replication stress-induced DNA damage. Furthermore, we identified ubiquitin-activating enzyme UBA1 as the apical E1 enzyme required for response to IR and replication...
