The role of nurse in the care of child patient with hemangiom.
ŠESTÁKOVÁ, Růžena
One of the most important areas of society-wide tasks influencing the health of the whole population is child care. It includes care of children with a hemangioma. Hemangiomas are the most common benign (not malignant) vascular tumours of a child age. This benign tumour may be present as early as at birth or appear in the first weeks of life. It is usually located on or under the skin surface but may also affect internal organs. Although a hemangioma may affect any body part, it is mostly located on the head and neck. A hemangioma is diagnosed in a tenth of new-born children. Hemangiomas typically appear at neonatal age or infancy. The objectives of the diploma thesis "Nurse's Roles in Care of a Child Patient with a Hemangioma" are to examine the roles of nurses in care of a child patient with a hemangioma, as seen by parents (mothers) of the children, and to identify which of the roles is the most important for the parents (mothers). It has also been ascertained whether nurses deal with any problems while providing this care and whether occurrence of a hemangioma in a child has any influence on the child's family. It has also been ascertained whether any complications are encountered in the treatment of children with a hemangioma. A qualitative research was used for data processing. Several methods of data collection were used. The researcher used a case history according to the model of Virginia Henderson, semi-structured interview with mothers of patients, data content analysis and secret participant observation during outpatient checks. The last method used was a survey aimed at nurses who took care of children with a hemangioma, asking them whether they dealt with any problems and complications in such children. The first research set consisted of ten child patients who were selected on purpose on the basis of pre-set criteria. The first criterion was presence of a hemangioma; five patients were hospitalised with a hemangioma and underwent a treatment with propranolol, while the other five patients with a hemangioma underwent only a conservative treatment. Last but the most important criterion was that mothers of patients with a hemangioma granted their consent to the research. These mothers formed the second research set and underwent a semi-structured interview focused on their personal experience with a hemangioma and on the work of nurses as seen by mothers. The last research set consisted of ten nurses who were also selected on purpose on the basis of a very important criterion, which was care of child patients with a hemangioma. This thesis may be of a benefit not only for professionals who are in contact with children with a hemangioma but may also serve to deepen general knowledge of other healthcare professionals who may encounter this disease either in their professional or private life. Based on the information acquired for the diploma thesis, was prepared for nurses and will be presented at professional workshops.

Nursing care of client's HIV-positive.
ŠETELOVÁ, Nikola
Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome has become the whole world pandemic in a short time. It is a virus that is transmitted primarily by blood, breast milk and body fluids, but by means of normal contact with an infected a transfer will not occur if the person does not behave dangerously. The clinical picture of this virus has a very large range of expressions, it depends on what stage is the infected in. In the first few weeks the infected may suffer of temperature, nausea, joint pain. After that infection passes into the asymptomatic period. In the third period of the infection there comes persistent generalized lymphadenopathy, which gradually passes into the fourth stage, which leads to the development of opportunistic infections, malignancies and neurological disorders. To become familiar with the current state of knowledge, which is described on the following pages, it was necessary to study a large number of bibliographic publications by leading Czech and foreign experts in the field of HIV infection. In the Czech scientific environment is this topic, among others, covered by MD. Džamila Stehlíková, from whose scholarly articles and books we have drawn. Another important resource for the bachelor thesis were also journals from abroad, ICAP Columbia University, Czech Health Statistics Yearbook and the magazine of UNAIDS company. From the Czech magazine sources, I would like to mention Florence, Závislosti a my, Lékařské listy and Sestra magazine. The bachelor thesis also includes Internet resources from abroad and the Czech Republic, which deal with such problems, that is www.unaids.org, www.aids-pomoc.cz. Information was also obtained from the World Health Organization, WHO, Czech National Institute of Health and the Czech Ministry of Health. The purpose of the detailed retrieve of a large amount of data was to give relevant statement on researched facts. The knowledge acquired is treated in detail in sections, divided on the basis of the current state of knowledge about HIV infection and AIDS. After studying many studies that have been published, it is clear that HIV infection is increasing, unfortunately, even in the Czech Republic. Recent studies carried out in our country confirm that nowadays people behave very risky and transmission of HIV infection is not decreasing. We have no choice but wait and hope that in this issue there will be found new opportunities and a positive development will occur.

Effect of milk composition and a dietary crude protein source on an increasing of resistance of growing-fattening rabbits to digestive disorders
PŘÍDOVÁ, Lenka
Recent findings showed that white lupine is a suitable alternative source of crude protein for feed mixtures of broiler rabbits. It was found that white lupine can completely replace the hitherto commonly used soybean meal , which in higher concentrations assigns a negative impact on the health of the gastrointestinal tract. For fattening rabbits are therefore all white lupine seeds suitable source of nitrogen compounds . White lupine seeds are also an important source of fat with a favorable profile and fatty acid composition . In further experiments it was found that the addition of white lupine into lactation diet rabbits significantly increased daily milk production and milk fat , which significantly reduces the amount of saturates and significantly increases the percentages of oleic acid , linolenic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Such milk nutrition rabbits, along with the use fattening mixtures from 17 days of age also contains white lupine , significantly reduce the health risk index rabbits in the first weeks after weaning. It is however clear whether the favorable health condition of weaned rabbits was due to higher acid content of EPA in milk, which are attributed to the organism significant physiological and immune function, or has a better state of health due to the fact that the rabbits received fattening diet containing white lupine , compared with rabbits receiving the diet with soy extracted scrap. Compared to soy white lupine also has a higher content of oligosaccharides rafinosové series , which is attributed to the prebiotic effect . The addition of white lupine in fattening mixtures may favorably affect the fermentation microflora activity appendicitis rabbits , thereby increasing the resistance of weaned rabbits digestive disorders . From the foregoing it is clear that there are many unclear issues that need to explain the experimentally .

Ambient air influence on human health in 2003
Knobová, Veronika ; Hůnová, Iva (advisor) ; Braniš, Martin (referee)
In August 2003 a 15-days lasting enormous wave of high temperature and unusually high ozone concentration affected several European countries. During first two weeks in August new daily temperature records were registered in several European countries. The summer in period from June to August 2003 became the warmest in Europe since 16th century. This fact evoked impact on health of population and even on bounce of the mortality. In 20 days in August France - as the most affected country - noticed almost 15 thousand casualties. The increase of the mortality was also registered in Western, South, partially in Central Europe but mostly in France, Spain, Italy, UK, Portugal, Switzerland and Germany. This bachelor thesis is focused on impact of temperature, ozone and aerosol pollution to increased mortality. The study is based mainly on foreign studies concerning this issue. Keywords: Air quality, air temperature, heat wave, heat-related mortality, summer 2003

Hemzalová, P. ; Legut, Dominik ; Šob, Mojmír
We study the energetics of seven crystalline phases of tellurium (trigonal, rhombohedral, orthorhombic, monoclinic, simple cubic, body-centered cubic and face-centered cubic phase) from first principles in order to reveal the relation between them and to advance our fundamental understanding of behavior of tellurium at high pressures.

Biochemical diagnosis and monitoring of disorders of renal functions in critically ill patients
Balík, Martin ; Kazda, Antonín (advisor) ; Tesař, Vladimír (referee) ; Schück, Otto (referee)
Aims: A systematic approach to renal function monitoring using information taken by means of renal function tests calculated from serum and urine specimen has not been comprehensively explored. The application of analysis of natriuretic peptides and low molecular weight proteins in diagnosis of advanced renal failure has not been tested in critical ill patients. The performance of continuous renal replacement therapy depends on adequate anticoagulation of the extracorporeal circuit. Prostacyclin as one of the newer agents has not been compared to citrate which may be considered a standart agent in many intensive care units. Changes of distribution volume of antibiotics have been a matter of debate in terms of dosage alteration but have not been assessed clinically at the bedside using other tools than a pharmacokinetic model. Methods: Establishing computer programme calculating various renal function tests allowed us to monitor the effects of diuretics, osmolality shifts, disorders of urine acidification and progression of renal insufficiency towards acute renal failure. Creating a functional model of acute renal failure serves as a tool for further studies on renal replacement therapy. A relationship between residual diuresis and levels of natriuretic peptides and cystatin C were studied before and...

Electronic structure In-Sn alloys
Všianská, Monika ; Legut, Dominik ; Šob, Mojmír
The InSn system is interesting by the existence of a simple hexagonal phase for compositions from 72 to 87 at% Sn at 25 °C and from 73 to 85 at% Sn at -150 °C. These alloys are usually referred to as gamma–Sn. The InSn alloys are disordered in the whole concentration interval. In this contribution, energetics and electronic structure of InSn system is studied from first principles. A simplified version of virtual crystal approximation is employed to describe disorder. It turns out that the present approach is capable of describing phase composition of InSn system in the whole concentration interval. In particular, we are able to reproduce the existence of simple hexagonal phase around 80 at% Sn.

Czechoslovak-Arab relations between the two wars. Political and economic relations of interwar Czechoslovakia to Arab countries in the Near East
Klusoň, Tomáš ; Tumis, Stanislav (referee)
The thesis examines the political and economic relations between inter-war Czechoslovakia and Egypt, Palestine, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. It describes in detail the development of the organizational structure of the Czechoslovak diplomatic and consular representation in the above countries. It follows the history of mutual political relations and seeks to answer the question how Czechoslovakia formulated its positions on individual issues and which government departments played the crucial role in formulating Czechoslovak positions. The core of the thesis is a detailed analysis of mutual trade contacts. The author identifies the main factors that determined the nature of Czechoslovak trade with Arab countries. Special attention is paid namely to the support and incentives offered by the government and government-funded institutions with the aim to encourage Czechoslovak exports to Arab countries. The last part of the thesis explains in detail how soon and in what manner each mission joined the Czechoslovak resistance movement after the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia in March 1939. The author concludes that the conduct of the heads of Czechoslovak missions in Arab countries in the first days and weeks following the occupation was the main cause of the tensions that existed between the missions and...

Zounková, Irena ; Kučera, Miroslav (advisor) ; Jandová, Dobroslava (referee) ; Mrzena, Bohuslav (referee)
Title: Timely diagnosis of motor function in children with intrauterine growth retardation and possibilities for its influencing with the aid of physiotherapeutic methods This dissertation focuses on the examination of children with locomotive coordination disorder that were born with the risk of intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) in their case history. This work calls attention to notable postural deviations in the 5 th week of life of children that affect their motor development in the first year of life and could be a risk indicator for the emergence of postural deviations typical for children's defective posture (VDT). Aim: to confirm the methodological practice when assessing qualitative indicators of the most serious deviations of locomotive manifestations from physiological development of movement in the 5 th week of a child's life with the aid of developmental kinesiology. To confirm the effectivity of physiotherapeutic methods applied at an early age of the neonate. To emphasize the necessity of timely initiation of physiotherapy before the 3 rd month of a child's life within the framework of complex care for children with the risk of IUGR in their case history. Task: to evaluate the development of symptoms of postural deviations in the first four months of a child's life. To assess...

Student's Ideas about Energy
Dobias, Pavel ; Mandíková, Dana (advisor) ; Žák, Vojtěch (referee)
The goal of my thesis has been to find about high school students' intuitive conceptions of energy. I followed the previous studies made in the energy field and in terms of them my own research was carried out in the form of a test. The test contained 13 questions and 152 freshmen from six classes and 112 secondary school leavers from five classes participated in this. In questions I was concerned with the most frequent misconceptions. I compiled the results for each task into tables and illustrated in graphs as well. I compared the first and fourth classes' results to find out how effective schools were in replacing misconceptions with the correct knowledge. I was interested as well if there is some relationship between misconceptions and sex or marks of the interviewees. Next I compared classes to each other. At the end I mentioned the risk of neglected misconceptions in studying physics.
