Smart District Špitalka

This thesis deals with an architectural case study of the city block in the Svitava industrial zone bordered by the Svitava river in the east, Ring road in the west, Milady Horákové street in the north and Zvonařka street in the south. Špitálka Smart City is located right in the centre of this area. The thesis is modeled on the Špitálka Smart City urban study, that was the outcome of the pre-thesis seminar in the winter term 2020/21. The urban study objective was the urban renewal of the Brno teplárny (heating plant) area and its surroundings as well as a design of a new urban boulevard. To effectively use the place a residential building with commercial spaces on the groundfloor has been designed. The building consists of four sections, which share two underground storeys providing parking space and space for building services. The case study further develops only the section that is labeled A in the study. Section A offers 23 housing units and a café. The design aims at high quality housing with a view of the city replacing the former industrial zone.

The Business Plan for the Establishment of a Cafe in city Zbýšov

The diploma thesis deals with the creation of a business plan for the establishment of a cafe offering breakfast in Zbýšov. The theoretical part deals with the description of basic concepts and starting points for establishing a company in the field of cafe, used standard analysis of strategic planning and business, including the structure of the business plan. The analytical part of the thesis includes the analysis of field, external and internal environment. The aim of the analyzes is to identify and evaluate the key factors for selecting a suitable strategy for a start-up company. The chosen strategy is elaborated in the draft part and is further elaborated into partial parts of the business plan.
Mixed-use building

The subject of this thesis is the development of a project documentation of a mixed-use building situated in Kroměříž. The building has four above-ground floors and a basement. In the basement there are cellars, a workshop, a warehouse, a technical room and an underground garage. On the first floor there are shops, café with the capacity of twenty people and a pharmacy. There are also two handicap accessible apartments. The second to fourth floors are made out of residential units of which there are eight. The roof structure is designed as a warm flat green roof or terrace. The external and internal vertical structures are made out of Heluz ceramic pieces. Horizontal structures are made out of reinforced concrete.
Novolíšeňská roastery and café

The aim of this master project is to design café and roastery building in Brno - Líšeň. There are three parts, documentation for building permission, conception of HVAC documentation and facility management study. The building has three floors: basement with storage and utility rooms, ground floor with a café, coffee shop and roastery and first floor with a barista training room, offices and a roof garden with a terrace. Outside, there is an outdoor seating, children’s playground and a parking lot for customers and staff. The vertical loadbearing structures are designed from ceramic blocks and permanent formwork. The horizontal loadbearing structures are designed as cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs and beams. There are three staircases in the building, one is designed from steel and the other two from cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The building is insulated with expanded polystyrene panels. The foundations are cast-in-place concrete strips. There are solar panels situated on the flat roof over the first floor. The building has mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. There is an underground tank for collecting rainwater that is used for toilet flushing and watering the garden. For heating and DHW there are two gas boilers, for cooling there is a VRV system.

THE AIM OF THIS DIPLOMA´S THESIS IS A NEW BUILDING OF A MULTIFUNCTIONAL HOUSE IN UHERSKÉ HRADIŠTĚ. THE BUILDING HAS THREE FLOORS AND ONE PARTLY UNDERGROUD FLOOR. THE UNDERGROUND FLOOR IS USED AS A STORAGE SPACE FOR THE BULDING‘S USERS AND AS A TECHNICAL SURROUNDINGS OF THE FACILITY. FIRST FLOOR IS USED AS A COMMERCIAL PREMISES, AS A BOULDER CENTRUM, COFFEE HOUSE AND SALES. THERE ARE SEVEN APARTMENT UNITS ON EACH FLOOR 1+KK, 2+KK, 3+KK AND 4+KK. OVERALL THERE ARE FOURTEEN APARTMENT UNITS, ALL FLATS ARE DESIGNED IN THE SAME WAY ON EACH FLOOR. THE WHOLE BUILDING IS ALSO EQUIPPED WITH A LIFT, IT IS A MASONRY BUILDING MADE WITH YTONG SYSTEM WITH CAST-IN-PLACE REINFORCED CONCRETE CEILING AND A FLAT GREEN ROOF. THE CONSTRUCTION ITSELF FITS IN THE SURROUNDINGS OF THE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT.
Mixed-use Building

This Master’s thesis deals with the design and elaboration of project documentation for the construction of a multifunctional building in Pardubice. The building is located on plots No. 2426/35 and 2426/36, in the cadastral area of Pardubice. It is located in an area close to the city center. There used to be barracks in this place. The outline of the house is "bitten" L-shaped. The building consists of civic amenities, where there are Alza showrooms, musical instrument showrooms, cafes, rehabilitation centers and massage centers. Another part are offices. All floors are barrier-free. The building has no basement. The main arterial communication of the house passes through the hall, which goes diagonally through the building. This corridor connects the individual establishments, technical facilities, stairs, elevator, and parking lot behind the building. Movement between individual floors is ensured by a monolithic staircase and an elevator. The building also includes a parking area for cars, access road and another garden with space for outdoor seating. The building is based on strip foundation and pad footing foundation made of plain concrete. The load-bearing structures are made of ceramic and brick blocks and columns. The building has a longitudinal compositional system. The ceilings are designed as reinforced concrete slabs. The exterior walls are plastered with thermo-insulating plaster. The walls in the roof entrance section are contact-insulated with mineral wool. In the place of the plinth, the insulation is made through extruded polystyrene. The roofing is designed as a single-skin flat roof with rainwater outlet/roof outlet. Next to the land there is a local road.
Multifunctional house in Uherské Hradiště

The object of this master’s thesis is a newly-built mixed-use building in the town of Uherské Hradiště. It includes parking and office spaces, retail shops, and a coffee shop. The building is situated in a mildly sloping terrain near the town centre. It is a three-storey detached building with partial basement. The floor plan was created by joining several different-sized rectangles together. The mixed-use building is based on foundation pads and slabs. It is roofed with a warm flat roof and, above the first floor, with a green roof. The building consists of a cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame with columns and beams. The floor structure is composed of prestressed hollow core slabs. The external wall of the above-ground floors is made of hollow clay blocks and the basement external wall is made of permanent formwork. The wall of the lift shaft is built from reinforced concrete and the staircase is composed of precast reinforced concrete slabs. The external walls are insulated with contact thermal insulation system and in some parts there is timber cladding – ventilated façade with thermal insulation from glass wool. The thermal insulation of the basement and of the plinth is made of extruded polystyrene. The object is divided into several functional zones. On the ground floor there is a coffee shop, a copy shop, a stationery shop, and a bakery. On the first and second floors there are office spaces. In the basement there are technical facilities only. The main entrance of the object is from the northwest part of the plot. There the entrance to the car park is also located, situated to the northwest and southwest side of the plot. Bicycle stands and a place for recycling is also located there. Around the object there is a pavement from which there is wheelchair access to all of the functional zones.

Matějková, V. The impact of advertising on a customer in the context of a marketing of the company Moje Kávová Hvězda. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel university in Brno, 2017. The goal of the thesis is to identify a target group of customers of the cafe Moje Kávová Hvězda in Brno and find out how its customers perceive company's image, advertisement and what are their needs. There are measures suggested on the basis of the results of the research which could contribute to improve company's marketing in various fields of marketing mix. The study is divided into two parts. The first part concerns general marketing terms and concepts, advertisement and consumer's behaviour. The second part focuses on verifying validity of specified hypotheses by a survey and suggests marketing recommendations and improvements on the basis of these results.

The aim of the final thesis is to design a café with attic flat for family with four members. Each of these flats have a separate entrance. The café is barrier free. The building is designed as detached house with the form of wooden frame structure with the gable roof. Composition of structures meets the requirements for low energy buildings. For the external constructions is done thermal assessment. The architectural design drawings are supplemented by the necessary detail drawings and manufacturings with technical descriptions. The thesis also includes the comparison of materials used for roofing.
