Problems for ensurance of treatment and illpersons´needs who are treated in a hospital for a long time or at home-care as seen by nurses
GUIDOVÁ, Hana
Abstract The objective of nursing care is to maintain an individual self-sufficient for as long as possible, to improve their quality of life and to provide orientation or life programme in psychical and social activities. A need arises from a feeling of insufficiency or excess in biological, psychological, social or spiritual fields. This thesis addresses the issue of provision of nursing care and satisfaction of patients{\crq} needs in sanatoriums and in home care from the view of nurses. The thesis comprised quantitative research made by means of questionnaires completed by 64 nurses from 6 addressed sanatoriums and 9 home-care agencies. The bachelor{\crq}s thesis attempted to ascertain opportunities for provision of health care and satisfaction of lower and higher needs. Three hypotheses were raised. The first hypothesis was focused on nurses providing home care and claimed that they provided their clients with more comprehensive nursing care. The results of the research have confirmed this hypothesis. Nurses from home-care agencies provide professional health care and satisfy lower and higher needs at the same time. Nurses working in sanatoriums satisfy lower and higher needs less than nurses providing home care. The second hypothesis addressed influence of the type of organization on satisfaction of clients{\crq} needs. This hypothesis has been confirmed by the results of the research. Nurses providing home care have more room to meet the needs than nurses working in sanatoriums. The third hypothesis concerned the question whether nurses providing home care have more room for satisfaction of higher needs than nurses in sanatoriums. This hypothesis has also been confirmed on the basis of the results. The research revealed that a part of nurses working in sanatoriums have little time for satisfaction of lower and higher needs. Regrettably, the answer that satisfaction of these needs is not necessary and even if it was, there would not be time for that was not exceptional. An approach to nursing care and patients{\crq} needs has been undergoing continuous development. What used to be sufficient in former times is not sufficient at present. I believe that it would be useful for nurses to recommend them making use of education to a larger extent. They should realize the needs arising from illnesses since satisfaction of these needs is a part of the therapeutic process. I would also recommend that heads of sanatoriums and home-care agencies should obtain more quality compensation equipment and modern medical supplies, and consider the number of nursing staff as compared to the number of treated clients since provision of quality nursing care is the aim of every nurse.

What is allowable and what is prohibeted during a treatment of islamists
NORKOVÁ, Jiřina
In my thesis I deal with the issue: What is allowed and what is forbidden in nursing an Islamic believer. I have chosen this topic because it is a very interesting and topical issue. In the Czech Republic area great changes in terms of the population composition have occurred recently. The number of foreigners of various cultural backgrounds, religions and custom practice has increased and thus the need of multicultural nursing has risen. Therefore it is necessary to find out if we are ready to care for patients who are Islamic believers. The number of Islamic believers in our country is growing constantly and they are not only tourists and foreigners but also Czech converts. Due to the extensive and comprehensive character of the issue the theoretical section of the thesis was divided into three parts. The introduction is focused on basic information on multicultural nursing. The transcultural model of nursing by Gigerova and Davidhizarova was used both for a special part of the theory and in the research part for developing the processual standard. The second part in focused on general information on Islam, i.e. on the history of the origination of the religion, its history in our country and on the principles of Islam. The special and most substantial part is dedicated to nursing specifics in the care for these patients, such as food, hygiene, family life, the issue of life saving interventions and the issue of death. On the basis of the model mentioned above nursing evaluation was carried out. In the practical section four objectives were stated: to learn nurses´ knowledge of the issue, to examine the conditions in hospitals in terms of nursing care for Islam believers, to find out if the attitude of the medical staff is influenced by prejudice against Islamic believers and to establish nursing standards in the care for Islam believers. The objectives were stated under assumption that nurses in the South Moravian region are better informed than nurses in the South Bohemian region and conditions in South Moravian hospitals are better adapted to the needs of nursing care for Islamic believers. The other assumption were that nurses´ attitude to care for Islamic believers is influenced by prejudice and also that the nursing standard development is considered to be benefiting for providing these patients with a complex nursing care. The research was conducted in the South Bohemian and South Moravian regions by using questionnaires handed out to nurses. I can say that the objectives were achieved, the first three hypotheses were not confirmed and the fourth, relating to the benefit of the nursing standard, was confirmed.

Pelc, Martin ; Žák, Josef (advisor) ; Matějů, Martin (referee)
This paper focuses on a niche of local culture represented by non-governmental non-profit organisations (associations). The objective is to identify and analyse their part in the cultural life of the city during the 20 th century on the basis of theoretical assumptions. The backbone of the paper is the finding of how the transformations of the structure and role of association life influenced the social and mainly the cultural life of the town Louny. I attempted to identify, track, and interpret this phenomenon wi thin the various periods of time between 1918 and 2000. I chose this time span intentionally, for within this relatively short time frame, our country underwent several politically, economically, socially, and culturally distinct periods. My scope of interest covers the period between the World Wars marked with very intensive association life, the role of associations during the Protectorate period (Sokol, Junak), the conflicting developments between 1945 and 1968, the destruction of cultural life during the Normalisation period, and the renewed boom in the democratic society after 1989. Each period has its specificities and it is of interest to present the changes occurring in the local context, as the various entities are much more comprehensible on the local scale than if observed from a...
