Models of social policy in the European Union
Soukupová, Michaela ; Palíšková, Marcela (advisor) ; Šmíd, David (referee)
Bachelor thesis titled "Models of social policy in the European Union" characterizes the social models in the European Union and the comparison of selected indicators. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is focused on theoretical background of social policy followed by the historical development of social policy in the process of European integration and typology of social models that underlie the understanding of the issue. The practical part is trying to provide general view of social system in the Czech Republic and find out how social policy of the Czech Republic approximates to the European social model. In conclusion, there are some suggestions for improving Czech situation.

Minimum wage in economic context
Návrat, Martin ; Durdisová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Pikhart, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis compares different theoretical principles concerning the relationship between minimum wages and unemployment. In the empirical part examines the impact of minimum wages on unemployment in the Czech Republic for the period 1994 - 2012. The results of the econometric analysis indicate that the minimum wage significantly affects unemployment. I conclude that a 1% increase in the real minimum wage compared to the previous year will result in approximately a 0.17% increase in the unemployment rate for workers with at most primary education compared to the previous year and approximately 0.07% increase in the unemployment rate of men compared to previous year. Based on the extension of the basic models is rejected that the minimum wage statistically negatively influenced overall unemployment, unemployment of women and unemployment of workers under 25 years.

Everyday spatial mobility of population in the region Strakonice: Patterns of individual mobility and their study by means of modern geoinformation technologies
POJSL, Lukáš
The aim of this Bachelor thesis was to investigate the individual spatial mobility of people in the town Strakonice. In the research were used two methods of collecting information. The first one was a questionnaire survey and as an additional element here served a record of GPS devices. The main goal was the analysis of the results, detection of internal processes and subsequent comparison with analogous Czech and foreign studies. Starting point for the analysis was the data on the main indicators of spatial mobility which are time, distance and number of trips. Comparing within the purpose of the trip, it was observed that regular trips consisting of commuting to work and school contribute to the overall mobility of approximately 40 %. With regard to modal split according to the day of the week, the largest differences were observed when comparing weekdays and weekends. During the monitored Mondays and Wednesdays significantly prevailed walking while on Saturday, the ratio turned and the dominant position gained car. In terms of the main indicators of spatial mobility walking exceeded all other means of transport. Different results were recorded in the distance category where a car took a leadership role and significantly suppressed all other modes of transport. Focusing only on the time spent during mobility then from the collected data for the region Strakonice, the results are that on average residents move 44 minutes a day. Data collected form GPS loggers were processed and presented using suitable software. The visualization displayed detailed mobility of selected respondents and allowed an alternative way of working with mobility.

Men's Mammography Specialities
FRÁŇOVÁ, Jana
Every male patient coming for a breast examination has already experienced some problems with the breast. In most cases they relate to the enlargement of the mammary gland ? gynaecomastia, and less often a tumour. Breast carcinoma represents only a small part of tumours among the male population with an incidence of approximately 44 new patients per year, which is less than 1% (exactly 0.13%) of malign tumours. Mammography of male patients is usually performed in the basic standard projections ? mediolateral and craniocaudal. Generally it is possible to perform other projections (but this is very rare) ? lateral and caudocranial. The mediolateral ? transversal ? projection is usually satisfactory in male patients. Due to the anatomical structure of the male breast a hands-on examination is also very important in the diagnostics of the male mammary gland. Mammographic examination is not the first-choice method. Just ultrasound examination or just mammography is satisfactory in many cases. This situation is different in female patients where mammography is the first-choice method, followed by ultrasound and biopsy in the same medical workplace. In men, mammographic or ultrasound examination can be just auxiliary to determine staging. Every workplace may perform different routines and methods in male mammographic examination. However, all these examinations should be characterised by high quality and best possible diagnostic information, professional approach of the staff, and mainly the effort to improve long-established procedures.

Social Mobility in a Municipality
Kristková, Markéta ; Novotná, Eliška (advisor) ; Truc, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis, titled social mobility in the village deals with the problems of social mobility and its relationships to democracy. In this thesis, there are described basic terms and theories of social stratification, which is closely related to social mobility, the important part of social stratification. There is described and in the practice aplicated research of social mobility in the small village. For the research, there was used survey and on the base of this survey was compiled approximate model of stratification in this village.

Iconographic reconstruction of the northern portal of the Church of Our Lady before Týn

This thesis looks into the analysis of iconograpfy of the northern lateral portal of the Church of Our Lady before Týn. For this purpose this thesis summarizes the most important historiographical, Artististic Science and source literature related to this relic. Based on researched iconographic analysis this thesis aids to propose all possible solutions of iconographical programme which could have been intended for this thesis. Based on the evaluation of literature, sources and on the formal analysis principal the objektive of this thesis is to specify significantly problematic dating range ( approximately from mid. 13th century up to late 1450) to shorter period of possible origin of the artwork there are also evaluated all available restauration reports and construction historical surveys related to the inspected relic. Keywords Church of Our Lady before Tyn, portal, architecture, sculpture, relief, Peter Parler, Charles IV., Wenceslaus IV., iconography, symbol, tympanum, The Passion, international gothic style.

Poisson Approximations
Klikáč, Jan ; Omelka, Marek (advisor) ; Kulich, Michal (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the counting probability using Poisson distri- bution and shows new ways of approximating Poisson distribution. The first chapter summarizes the findings regarding the Poisson distribution, its definition and properties. It also show a limit transition from the binomial distribution to Poisson distibution and examples demonstrating the usage of this limit transition. Brun Sieve is introduced in the second chapter. It gives a new possibility of transiting to a Poisson distribution. Random variables, which we want to appro- ximate, no longer need to have binomial distribution. Instead the property of expected value is required. The second part of the chapter includes a practical demonstration of the usage of Brun Sieve. In the third chapter we estimate size of the error that we made when approxi- mating to Poisson distribution. There is also formulated Stein-Chen theorem for estimating the error of Poisson approximation and its version for a special case. Keywords: Poisson distribution, Brun Sieve, Stein-Chen theorem 1

Teoretické otázky popisu chování krylovovských metod
Strnad, Otto ; Strakoš, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Zítko, Jan (referee)
The presented thesis is focused on the GMRES convergence analysis. The basic principles of CG, MINRES and GMRES are briefly explained. The thesis summarizes some known convergence results of these methods. The known characterizations of the matrices and the right hand sides gen- erating the same Krylov residual spaces are summarized. Connections and the differences between the different points of view on GMRES convergence analysis are shown. We expect that if the convergence curve of GMRES applied to the nonnormal matrix and the right hand side seems to be de- termined by the eigenvalues of the matrix then exists a matrix that is close to normal and has the same spectrum as the matrix and for the right hand side has the same GMRES convergence curve (We assume that the initial approximation 0 = 0). Several numerical experiments are done to examine this assumption. This thesis describes an unpublished result of Gérard Meu- rant which is the formula for the norm of the -th error of GMRES applied to the matrix and right hand side and its derivation. The upper estimate of the -th GMRES error is derived. This estimate is minimized via spectrum.
