Determination of Gun Type and Position in Image Scene
Kolcún, Róbert ; Goldmann, Tomáš (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to design an approach for classifying guns into two categories, with short and long weapons, and determining a position of guns in the image scene. This problem was solved using the classical approach as K-Nearest-Neighbour and SVM classification and using convolutional neural networks. In this work was made a comparison of these approaches with a resulting accuracy up to 90%. With the results of this work, it is possible to choose a right approach to this problem.

The influence of high altitude on shooting efficiency of biathletes.
Boudíková, Adéla ; Dovalil, Josef (advisor) ; Pupiš, Martin (referee) ; Ondráček, Jan (referee)
The main purpose was describe the issue of shooting success rate at high altitude (1 500 - 3 000m a. s. l.). Shooting success rate of elite racers was evaluated using analysation of results from individual races at high altitude in the period 1990/1991 - 2013/2014. High altitude had no statistical effect (p<0,05) on shooting success rate of women and men biathletes in the comparision with lowland but it had more negative effect to women shooting success rate than men shooting success rate. Ten national level biathletes were tested in three tests in lowland, four tests at high altitude and five tests in lowland after the return from high altitude. The test included rest shooting in the prone and standing positions and load shooting in both positions which took part of three kilometers running. Twelve days training camp at high altitude did not improve shooting success rate, shooting velocity and running time in the determinated heart rate. Rest shooting and shooting in the prone position did not change statistically during the whole testing period. At high altitude critical days were registered in load shooting in standing position (6th day, p<0,05) and average running time (9th day, p<0,05). Rifle manipulation and shooting are automate motions which are not influenced by high altitude. Most...
The Golden Age of Martial Arts of Europe
Šlapák, Vojtěch ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Beneš, Zdeněk (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to depict the golden era of European martial arts, which I consider to have developed in the "long" sixteenth century. This century is probably the most diverse one in European history in terms of weaponsused and fighting stylesintroduced. It was permeated by the fading phenomenon of chivalry, which last showed up in its full glory. Also, it is the age of mercenaries gloriously mastering the battlefields with their often dishonest, though effective tactics. But early modernperiod was anera of another victory, too. It was the beginning of a new type of warrior. Old medieval fencing was overcome by nimble styles arriving from Mediterranean area. The journey of these technical styles was one full of Renaissance spontaneity but also blood from thousands of duels. In Czech lands, this turning pointis already chronicledintheera of Rudolph II., which was a haven for various arts. Key words: Boxing - Cord - Duel - Europe - Fencing - Giacomo di Grassi - Knight - Mercenary - Nicolaes Petter - Pankration - Renaissance - Salvatore Fabris - Sword - Swordplay - Swordsman - Talhofer - Weapons - Wrestling

The creator gave to each weapon himself, didn't he? He had to be a good craftsman but he had to have art feeling too. Some people said the weapon had a magic power, according to others it wasn't difficult to recognize their owner. A long time ago the typical weapon was a sword which the kings and knights used to show their power. The sword as the most important weapon of medieval fighter, was very efficient and it was used for fighting at close range. The sword wasn't only the symbol of war but also the sign of prior role in society. But we can't only see the sword as a weapon. Sovereigners handed over the sword to each other as a symbol of reign leaving. The sword was a symbol of faith at the time of crusade when its shape was taken as a cross. The contribution of the bachelory diploma is acquisition of basic knowledges from the history of development and establishment the variety...
