Biom
Bolcek, Roman ; Tholt, Tomáš (referee) ; Vítek, Jiří (advisor)
Our planet has been facing enormous challenges over the last century, caused by population growth, an ever-evolving industry, resulting in ever-increasing CO2 production, rising water levels, misuse of agricultural land and the extinction of animal species. This causes the destruction of the Biome. Architectural and urban tendencies in the construction of cities, which do not change even today, use the maximum area, materials that cannot be recycled, also have a large share in this. Insufficient use of renewable resources, modern agriculture, self-sufficiency, both housing and urban structures. The reason for not using these technologies is largely a political and commercial problem. The aim of this work is to examine the problems we face today and find meaningful solutions. Change existing architectural and urban trends. To create a self-sufficient structure in places where Biomes were destroyed and to create new ones accordingly. These places often have poor living conditions, such as high temperatures, lack of drinking water and overcrowding. With the help of simple rules of working with the landscape and the use of modern technology, create a new biosphere environment, change the climatic conditions in a given place and create suitable conditions for the life of both plant and animal communities. The structure should be inhabited by a certain number of people who will live in modules that will be fully self-sufficient, following the ISS model. Provide plenty of drinking water, food and energy. The structure should be created from plastic waste by new construction technologies, such as 3D printing using nanotechnology and carbon fiber. This should make it fully recyclable and renewable. The goal is to work with one structure and subsequently create another structure.
Changes of the facial skeleton in Central Europe during the last 1200 years
Bejdová, Šárka
The objective of the Dissertation was to describe, quantify and interpret to which degree the shape and size of the facial skeleton of people living in the territory of today's Czech Republic in the period from the Early Middle Ages to the present day, i.e. in the course of the approx. last 1200 years, have changed. In this time period, morphological differences between populations, changes in the sexual dimorphism, modularity and allometry of the facial skeleton were examined. The evaluation was based on CT-images of skulls from three historical populations, specifically from the Early Middle Ages, High Middle Ages and the early modern period. The current population was represented by CT-images of living people. We studied the facial skeletons of a total of 329 individuals, of which 183 were men and 146 women. The CT- images were used as a base for the creation of virtual 3D surface models. The facial skeleton was divided into three morphological units, which were further examined. These were the skeleton of the upper face, lower jaw and palate. The statistical processing was carried out applying methods of geometric morphometrics allowing the separate studying of the shape and size variability of the examined units. When comparing the size and shape differences between studied populations it is...
Univerzálna platforma IoT senzorov novej generácie
Lučanský, Adam
The thesis examines hardware IoT platforms, surveys existing platforms and designs modular IoT platform consisting of printed-circuit boards interconnected with M2.COM standard. LoRaWAN modem is used for wireless data transfer. External sensors are connected to the device using connector mikroBUS and QWIIC. Whole system is tested by counting pulses from selected water flow-meter.
Recyklovaný nábytek z odpadových materiálů
Rozehnal, Josef
The thesis deals with the problematics of waste and its possible usage in the the field of industrial design. It is based on the author’s own experience with the processing of the metal plate. It outlines the possibility of usage of wasted metal plates, namely the usage of blasts and cut-outs remaining from industry. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part briefly describes the integration of the art and design; upcycling and its environmental aspects. Furthermore, it deals with the material and constructional solution relating to the topic of the thesis. Moreover, it is concerned with the problematics of acoustics which is connected with the final design. The practical part consists of gradual steps of the design made from the recycled wasted materials. Research, elements of inspiration, design variants, design and material solutions and final visualization are also parts of the thesis.
Návrh nábytkového prvku pro konkrétního výrobce
Dočkal, Filip
This thesis focuses on plywood flat-pack furniture made with CNC technology. In the first part of the thesis there is an evolution of the flat-pack furniture, its contemporary tendencies and a list of a current market supply. However, the main theme is a design process of furniture object for a new furniture brand called REXTA. Since the objects construction is based on modular system, user is able to utilize his living space in more effective ways. The thesis contain also a product development process after creation of a prototype, construction strength test and introduction of the results through expositions and online media.
Small Modular Reactors
Tichý, Marek ; Chýlek, Radomír (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelors thesis is focused on nuclear energy. It describes the generations of nuclear reactors and their representatives. The main goal of this work are small modular reactors which are discussed in more detail. This thesis describes types of reactors, their descriptions and also their use cases.
Modular Conveyor
Winter, Jaroslav ; Vincenc, Josef (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
This master thesis deals with a structural design of the modular roller conveyor which is part of the flexible assembly line of automotive seats. The work includes design and functional solution for a driven roller track. Present structural design of roller conveyors is summarized in the first part of the work.
Overview and Utilization of Small Modular Reactors
Křeček, Tomáš ; Števanka, Kamil (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with an auspicious type of new nuclear reactors – small modular reactors (SMR). It defines the basic qualities of SMR and their essential differences among large nuclear reactors, briefly evaluates the individual advantages and disadvantages. It summarizes the history and current direction of their development in the most active countries. In the bachelor's thesis are also discusses the most advanced propositions of SMR and the possibilities of their use. In the last part is analysis of the usability of SMR in the energy mixture and the possibilities of application in the Czechia.
Program Suport for Fair Trade
Krivosudský, Juraj ; Stryka, Lukáš (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
This work has been created as a support for non-profit NGO Society for Fair Trade and Development Education. It's aimed to build a base of an information system, that will be able to integrate and simplify the organisation's running. In the actual version it's foremost about stock control system unifying the management of commodities on several affiliates and synchronization of book entries for accounting purposal. To make the further development easier, several modular components are introduced. The system is based on technologies of PHP and MySQL with additional functionality of JavaScript which is, for the sake of widest compatibility possible, minimalised and substituted with alternative solutions if possible.
The Photo Album and Syntagm in the Web 2.0 Environment
Vlk, Pavel ; Fišerová, Michaela (advisor) ; Marcelli, Miroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis The Photo Album and Syntagm in the Web 2.0 Environment deals with problems of digital photographic collections shared in the web 2.0 environment. The thesis tries to express the basic principles of online photo albums referring to their characteristics, social function, method of arrangement and classification of individual photos. The aim is to verify the assumption that the photo album in the web 2.0 environment loses its narrative function and becomes a set of photos as modular fragments, whose sequence is made to be easily rearrangeable. The thesis is outlined in an interdisciplinary method, in examining of web photo albums it combines knowledge from studies of new media, sociology, philosophy and semiotics. The diploma thesis verifies validity of new medial theories of Lev Manovich in the environment of web digital photo albums and continues in his analyses of behaviour of users of the Instagram social network. As a part of the thesis there is also the own quantitative research, which with its form approximates to the sociological study of Pierre Bourdieu in 60s of the 20th century, devoted to social use of photography. On the basis of the above mentioned theoretical knowledge and his own research we determine what changes of organization and social function of photo albums...
