Moztarzadeh, Omid ; Hrušák, Daniel (advisor) ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Pazdera, Jindřich (referee)
Bone Augmentation Materials Evaluation of Implant Osteointegration This dissertation thesis contains a description and results of six constituent studies. The first study was performed in order to investigate the most common indications for the use of three bone augmentation materials, Biogen, Cerasorb and Bioresorb. The most common indications identified were based on statistical data collected from patients treated at the Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Faculty Hospital in Pilsen, during 2003-2007. The second experiment was performed in vivo. We evaluated the possible osteoinduction potential and osteogenic activities of two different bone augmentation materials (Cerasorb, Biogen) by examining whether ectopic bone formation could be induced when implanted subcutaneously into the extremities of our test subjects (pigs). The results obtained, highlight the potential future use, of augmentation materials in creation of hard tissues, in areas where soft tissues are normally present. The third experiment was performed in order to evaluate the efficiency of Cerasorb bone augmentation material in bone healing. Cerasorb was applied into an artificial hole in the extremities of the test subjects and based on careful analysis of the radiographic and histological images, we found that Cerasorb gradually resorbed...

Visualization methods utilization for document searching by user preferences
Jenček, Petr ; Kopecký, Michal (referee) ; Vojtáš, Peter (advisor)
The aim of this work is to study possibilities of presentation of document search results according to keywords given by a user using sociomapping method. Both web search and locally stored documents search will be our interest. We'll create document clusters from such results using one of the clustering algorithms and measures of keywords similarities. These clusters will be input data for creation of direct, or indirect sociomap. Finally we'll compare results of the clustering algorithms from several points of view.

Felcman, Jakub ; Klimeš, Ivan (advisor) ; Bregant, Michal (referee)
Bibliografický záznam Felcman, J. Kino v psacím stroji. Fenomén fiktivního scénáře v českém prostředí. (Rigorózní práce). Praha: Univerzita Karlova v Praze, Filozofická fakulta, Katedra filmových studií, 2011, 153 s. Vedoucí práce Doc. PhDr. Ivan Klimeš, PhD. Abstract This thesis is dedicated to a specific type of literary film art called rather innovatively in the paper as "a fictive screenplay". It is a literary work of art which uses different forms established as a basis for a transformation of a written art to a film: film thesis, libretto, literary or technical scenario. So called "fictive scenarios" are different from other creations of this type primarily by the apparent intention of the author to see them as a complete piece of art in its printed form without any ambitions or actual need for subsequent realization of its film version. The composition of the paper is based on a study of the relevant materials and is divided into three parts. The first part covers a compilation of texts collected by screen editor Kurt Pinthus in the 1910's (Das Kinobuch, the oldest Czech "fictive scenarios"). The second part covers film-related literary art pieces created by the Czech avant-garde in the 1920's. (Fictive scenario as a form of the Czech avant-garde.) The third part (Fictive scenario as a surrealistic playground)...

Klouček, Oldřich ; Rod, Aleš (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to verify whether drivers of luxurious cars are more likely to violate road traffic regulations. Theoretical background of this analysis consists of standard consumer theory using utility maximization and cost-benefit analysis which provide analysis of illegal behavior. This thesis summarizes the most important parts of economics of luxury and economics of crime and then uses this summary to create assumptions and models. Empirical part is based on city traffic analysis and driving offences that could be committed in order to avoid waiting in traffic jam. Data collected by terrain observations are used to verify that with increasing purchasing costs of a car also increases probability of committing a driving offence. By using assumption, that luxurious cars can be considered as cars with high purchase costs, was proved, that drivers of these cars are more likely to commit such a driving offence. It was also proved that time spent in traffic jam is one main of the factors that influence decision whether or not commit a driving offence.

Determination of AFP level by immunoturbidimetric method in amniotic fluid
Burešová, Lenka ; Fialová, Lenka (advisor) ; Pernický, Aleš (referee)
Determination of alfa-1-fetoprotein (AFP) level is addressed. The immunoturbidimetric method using a polyspecific antiserum was tested to determine the level of AFP in amniotic fluid. Results are compared to those obtained by simple radial immunodiffusion. In addition, a review of immunochemical methods for determination of AFP is given. The level of AFP is utilized as a biomarker indicating perinatal defects. To reveal pathological cases in a perinatal screening database, entries with abnormally high levels of AFP need to be found. For this purpose, a computer program was developed to point out potentially pathological cases based on calculation of the normal AFP level and deviations from this level. Keywords: alpha-fetoprotein, neural tube defects, immunoturbidimetry, imunoassay
