Techniques and instruments of decision making under risk for one-phase decision problems.
Horčička, Jan ; Švecová, Lenka (advisor) ; Fotr, Jiří (referee)
This thesis is focused on decision models for decision making under risk and uncertainty. The thesis should give a comprehensive insight about individual decision criteria and the reader should form a clear picture about usability of these models for solving particular decision problems. The thesis tries to provide objective point of view to the reader with highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each model. In the frame of decision making under risk, the thesis mentions the expected value rule, the rule of expected value and variance and the stochastic dominance rules. For the field of decision making under uncertainty, the thesis brings up the Laplace's criterion, the Hurwicz's criterion and Savage's regret criterion. The thesis further deal with the theory of expected utility. It brings up the method of construction of the utility curve, methods of usage and also known deficiencies of the theory when used in real world situations. In connection with utility theory, the thesis introduces the expected utility rule. For mapping future development, the thesis work with probability trees and explains their usability for modeling situations under risk and uncertainty. For all of the featured decision criteria, the work shows their applicative usage by using a prefigurative example. The reader should therefore know, how to proceed when using mentioned models for solving real decision problems.

Source Code Management Systems belong to the most important tools used for the software development. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to establish criteria and then to evaluate a support of these systems in Integrated Development Environments for Java. Subversion has been chosen as the relevant SCM System, because it is significantly favoured among open source software developers. According to the features of this system, the author establishes detailed criteria that given IDEs should meet. Then, the most common IDEs aimed at the Java development are examined on their meeting these criteria. In the conclusion of this thesis are expressed direct results of the testing and also some general suggestions concerning a next development of these products.

Górecká, Květoslava ; Tilšer, Ivan (advisor) ; Suchopár, Josef (referee) ; Švihovec, Jan (referee)
11. SUMMARY Introduction Increasing prevalence of chronic forms of cardiovascular diseases, theirs treatment is lifelong in majority of patients, causes considerable increase of the utilisation of cardiovascular drugs. Considering the fact that healthcare financial resources are restricted, it is necessary to use the drugs effectively and rationally. That is why it is important to study the trends in pharmacotherapy and drug prescribing in the real practice and consequently evaluate the drug use from the epidemiological, economic or social point of view. Objectives The objective of this work was to evaluate several aspects of the cardiovascular drug utilization on the basis of use of several large drug databases and different pharmacoepidemiologic attitudes. Specific issues were addressed in four independent studies: 1) A comparison of cardiovascular drug utilization in selected districts of the Czech Republic and Great Britain. 2) Cardiovascular drug utilisation, mortality and socio-economic inequalities: An ecological study in 20 districts of the Czech Republic. 3) An analysis of the hypertension treatment in general practitioners in the Czech Republic in the 90's. 4) Pleiotropic effects of statins and prevention of diabetes mellitus type 2. 1) A comparison of cardiovascular drug utilization in selected...

The Language of Contemporary Advertising and the Codification of the Czech Language (The Regional Press of the Town Beroun Its Surroundings)
Očenášková, Gabriela ; Kvítková, Naděžda (referee) ; Chejnová, Pavla (advisor)
The thesis deals with the language of contemporary advertising published 1 in a selection of regional newspapers of the town Beroun and its surroundings, i.e. Berounsky denik, Podbrdské noviny and The Independent Newspaper of the Beroun Region - ECHO. The main part of the paper evaluates the language of advertising from the point of view of codification and examines the flaws in orthography which appear in these texts. The deviations from the orthography rules found in the texts are classified in compliance to The Czech Language Orthography Rules published in 2004. Following the discovered facts I tried to find out which mistakes prevail, to identify the causes of their origin and to review to what extent the adult population has mastered the rules. Besides the orthographic flaws I also focused on other aberrations from the language standards and special features in the fields of stylistics, lexicology and morphology. As I worked with a specific type of newspapers - the regional press - 1 also tried to draw a more general picture of the form and the language of their advertising and to compare the present-day situation with the condition twelve years ago when these newspapers started to be published. The insight into the CRM subject terminates with extensive survey of CRM systems which are being sold within the Czech Republic. The following chapters explain the conception of NIA and evaluate advantages and disadvantages of contemporary technologies for building NIA. The equivalence between NIA and SOA-based solutions is recognized. The final chapters discuss the speciffic limitations and possible benefitss of NIA in the CRM fields.

Semantic characteristics of verbs in written discourse of children of younger school age
Trojanová, Tereza ; Pacovská, Jasňa (advisor) ; Lehečková, Eva (referee)
The bachelor papers have a goal to examine the area of semantic characteristics of verbs that are used by younger school-age children in their written expressions. The individual written works of the children from the fifth class of elementary school are a base for the research. The quantitative methods of research are used due to the gaining of relevant facts for the analysis of the collected material. Any quantification of the cognitive development cannot be held as generally true. The bachelor papers enrol certain tendencies of the children's speech development, which can become an impulsion for further scientific research. An asset of the papers is also an appendix with the primary younger school-age children's texts. The bachelor papers are divided into a theoretical and an empiric part. The theoretical part describes the basic starting points of psycholinguistics and introduces different attitudes to the language acquisition by a child. Further, it contains a chapter characterizing a period of younger school age and chapters devoting the issue of verbs, their semantics and a classification in light of semantic features. The empiric part shows the work hypothesis, description of the research sample and the methodology of the research. The core of this part is a quantitative expression of a...

Defining characters with sound
Hilčanský, Peter ; KUDLÁČ, Jakub (advisor) ; REJHOLEC, Pavel (referee)
The purpose of this study is to show specific methods of feature film sound dramaturgy: defining characters with sound. It is specific technique not use in every film. However there is lot of different kinds of films that can strongly benefit from using it. Our aim will be to find interesting films and analyze principles of sound dramaturgy and film language used. Emphasis will be given on the fact, that it is important to incorporate these ideas into the script and think about them in preparation phase of movie making, because in post-production it is often too late.

Vývoj metody na stanovení steroidních látek ve vodách
PLAČKOVÁ, Lydie
The theoretical part of the Master´s thesis describes steroids, their features, and the methods for their determination in waters. In experimental part three steroid hormones, namely 1,4-androstadiene-3,17-dione (ADD), 1,4-androstadiene-3-one-17(beta)-ol (boldenone) and 17(beta)-estradiol were selected. The compounds were concentrated from water by LLE and SPE extraction and determined by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. Several experiments were conducted to assess the recovery of specific extraction for studied compound.
