Extending arbitration clause on third parties in (international) commercial arbitration - selected issues in comparison of international arbitration practice and Czech law
Cienciala, René ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Brodec, Jan (referee)
CIENCIALA, R.: Extending arbitration clause on third parties in (international) commercial arbitration - selected issues in comparison of international arbitration practice and Czech law; doctoral thesis ABSTRACT The purpose of my doctoral thesis is to analyse in the context of the (international) commercial arbitration whether at all, and if so under what conditions can an arbitration agreement be extended on third parties as its non-signatories - i.e., parties who have actually not undersigned the said agreement. The thesis is based on a critical analysis thereof by evaluating the selected and relevant case-law, both judicial and arbitral, and the key legal jurisprudence in comparison of the international arbitration practice and Czech law. The thesis consists of nine main chapters. After the introduction of the subject-matter (first chapter), I focus on a fundamental basis thereof - i.e., the doctrine of separability of an arbitration agreement from the underlying contract (second chapter), followed by a thorough analysis of a selected theoretical conceptions concerning the extension of arbitration agreement on third parties (third to seventh chapter). Accordingly, I evaluate the following issues: a succession and assignment or other transfers of rights in the third chapter, the position of guarantors in...

WTO - charakteristika, hlavní cíle činnosti
Jelínková, Hana ; Kalínská, Emilie (advisor) ; Malý, Josef (referee)
Bakalářská práce pojednává o Světové obchodní organizaci. Vedle obecné charakteristiky má za cíl analyzovat postavení rozvojových zemí v rámci této organizace. V pěti kapitolách popisuje vývoj vzniku WTO, organizační strukturu, principy jejího fungování, pravidla obchodu jednotlivými komoditami a aktuální otázky činnosti WTO ve vztahu k rozvojovým zemím.

Easily accessible poisons and crime in Czech republic
PILAŘ, Michal
Based on the study of available literature in this thesis are defined easily accessible poisons, which are carbofuran, methanol, ethylene glycol, marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine. The thesis is further defined by crime, with those readily available poisons committed on the territory of the Czech Republic. Defined easily accessible poisons were also associated with a particular crime that is committed to them and based on statistical outputs of the Czech Police and the National Drug Headquarters of the Police of the Czech Republic was conducted statistical research that is readily available to these poisons committing a crime on the territory of the Czech Republic, and whether there are differences in crime rates between different regions of the Czech Republic. The second part describes the methodology of work and research questions. The third part consists of the results which graphically compares crime committed with easily accessible poisons. The final part consists of discussions, where they are analyzed the achievements of work. To achieve the objectives in this work used data collection methods, analytical, mathematical and graphical. While writing this thesis I first considered studying literature in easily accessible poisons and study applicable laws, which serve as the legal basis for the definition of crimes. When I was writing a thesis based on research questions: They are easily accessible poisons available in the Czech Republic? There in the CR crime committed using readily available poisons? There are differences between individual regions in the Czech Republic? These research questions were answered by meeting our goals, namely the Czech Republic are readily available poisons available with them commit crime in the crimes committed there are differences between individual regions.

Teacher's Questions in Mathematics Education
Růžičková, Lucie ; Zhouf, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vondrová, Naďa (advisor)
This diploma thesis studies various ways of observing mathematics teachers' questions, with particular respect to the possible influence of the questions on learners' cognitive processes and on the quality of acquired mathematical knowledge. There are two main aims: to create plausible criteria for characterising mathematics teachers' questions and to compile a collection of authentic communicational situations. On the basis of empirical research, certain phenomena of communication that are worth observing in mathematics classrooms for the purposes of the study of teachers' questions are described. A collection of concrete examples illustrating the actual occurrences of each of the described phenomena forms an integral part of the results. The significance of corrective questions from the point of view of cognitive impact on learners is emphasized and their further exploration is suggested.

Fractions in elementary mathematics education : some observations
Tichá, Marie
The article focuses on issues related to the creation of the concept of fraction. Various interpretations and representations are mentioned. Shown are some of the misconceptions and common mistakes of students in solving problems and deficiencies in training, which are their cause.

Edukometrie - Item response theory
Voňková, Hana
Title: Measurement of Education - Item Response Theory Author: Hana Křížovská Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Supervisor: Prof. Ing. František Fabian, CSc. Supervisors' e-mail address: he has not Abstract If we want to study abilities of certain pupils or other people in a given area, we can give them a didactial test, which would consist of items testing the abilities in question. The goal is then to determine the qualities of the people (ability parameter) and the relative difficulty of the questions (parameters of the questions) on the basis of the answers. Further we estimate how would a pupil, who have passed just one part of the test (assuming we have the item parameters of the whole test), would perform in the rest of the test. This is the research area of the Item Reponse Theory (IRT). In the introductory section the reasons are given for why we should use the IRT rather than the classical test theory for evaluating didactical test results, althought it's not regulary done in our country. The dichotomous Rasch model, which is one of the main IRT models, is described in detail. First the model is derived and then its main features presented. For the case of Rasch models we also demonstrate the most used methods of estimation of the ability and difficulty parameters....

Financial optimization
Mynařík, Petr ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Blažek, Radovan (referee)
The thesis describes a way of searching a better financial opportunities. The first part is about the multiple criteria decision making. I focus on application methods of multicriterial evaluation of alternatives on different possibilities of solving retirement. The target is to compare different possibilities and then suggest a solution. The second part is about the linear programming. The main objective of the diploma thesis is to suggest a create mathematical model, which I will use in my profession. This mathematical model will display results, which tell us how we can solve the question of money and finance.
