Testing SW for vectorization of graphic templates
Hanuš, Adam ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis is concerned about raster and vector graphic and is aimed on conversion of raster draft into vector images. This process is called vectorization or tracing. Theoretical part define the terms raster and vector graphic and subjects linked to them. It illustrates strengths and weaknesses of both and how they can be used. In the second part - practical section the software of vectorization is examined and its tracing tools have been tested. In conclusion, the test results of graphic editors is evaluated and its tracing tools as well as assess the images that have been vectorized. The contribution of this thesis is to suggest which software is being most effective for transforming raster images to vector ones and on factors along. Next I describe the transformation of specific images and rate the results of vectorization.
Characteristics of expression vectors for Corynebacterium glutamicum and their use for studies of sigma factors of RNA polymerase
Dvořáková, Pavla ; Pátek, Miroslav (advisor) ; Konopásek, Ivo (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to characterize chosen expression vectors used in biotechnologically important bacterial species, Corynebacterium glutamicum, and to test their use in studies of promoter activity control by sigma factors of RNA polymerase. Different properties of these vectors (level of expression of the cloned gene, leaky expression without inducer, dependence of expression level on inducer concentration and cell population homogeneity) were found by determination of expression level of the model gfpuv gene by fluorescence intensity assay of the produced protein and by gfpuv-expressing C. glutamicum cell population analysis using flow cytometry. The vector pEC-XT99A was chosen for testing the bi-plasmid system for assignment of a sigma factor to the chosen promoter. Although the level of expression provided by pEC-XT99A was not high, the vector showed no leaky expression, expression from the vector was comparable for a wide range of IPTG concentrations and the cell population was homogenous concerning the gene expression. Using pEC-XT99A from which individual stress sig genes were expressed, the σD factor was clearly assigned to the up-to-now unknown Pcg0420 promoter. Another vector for isolation and purification of C. glutamicum proteins was used to express the C. glutamicum sigM gene and to...
Transformer models for educational purposes
Beran, Vojtěch ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to project and realize models of transformers in Matlab and Simulink program. Projected models explain the theoretical precondition of the models. The aim is also to create manuals for models usage. The theoretical part bachelor's thesis is focused on transformer theory, which defines the properties, physical quantities, parameters and relations between them. In this part is defined transition from the basic model to models of current and voltage transformer, which forms the basis for the realization of simulations in Simulink. The next part describes vector transformation needed for modeling three phase system, defining the power, voltage and current of the transformer and for change of winding connection. Last part describes non-linear magnetic field. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis is the practical implementation of transformer models in Simulink. Realized models are models of current and voltage transformers. Each model has a form of linear and non-linear model and can work in single-phase or three-phase system. The output of simulation are values and voltage, current and power waveforms for a given load. There is a brief manual for usage for each model.
Exercises and problems in linear algebra ane geometry
JELÍNEK, Jan
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compile a collection of problems from linear algebra and geometry. The collection is intended to be used as a teaching tool at the high school and university. Some tasks are resolved in the collection. Sample images created in a suitable dynamical geometry program (GeoGebra) are used when entering and describing the solution.
Transmission of plant viruses by aphids
HOLLEY, Miroslav
The bachelor thesis is focused on transmission of plant viruses by aphids. Aphids are the most wide-spread and the most important vectors of plant viruses. They cause considerable yield losses of crops and fruit trees. The aim of the thesis is to verify the presence of the virus in the aphid vector. Isolated RNA was used for reverse transcription for the synthesis of cDNA (complementary DNA). Acquired cDNA served as a template strain for PCR. The result of PCR method confirmed the presence of Plum pox virus in Hyalopterus pruni.
Simulink transformer models based on equivalent circuits
Petrič, Peter ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor‘s thesis is to project and then realize models of transformer in Matlab/Simulink program. These proposed procedures show the relation between original transformer and its spare connections. The first part of bachelor‘s thesis is oriented to theory of transformers which defines basic parametres and relations between them in transformer. Later in this part we try to describe cross-over from basic transformer model to the spare connection which is needed in realization of model in Simulink. The second part of bachelor‘;s thesis is oriented to theoretical description of vector transformation. It describes some basic relations of general transformation, currents transformation and voltage in certain connections. The third part of bachelor‘s thesis shows some practical realization of spare connection models of basic transformer in Simulink program. In this part we modeled some current transformer models and voltage for single-phase and three-phase system. As to compare we have created process of currents and voltages in transformer as well as power and load of each model.

Dočkal, Jiří ; Chudý, Peter (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with the description of the aplication which was determined by the assignment of the bachelor thesis. The main focus are the problems and principles connected with the topic of the thesis. Further on, the thesis describes the actual realization of the aplication and the achieved results. The conclusion covers the evaluation of thesis and possible ways for further improvement of the project.
Generating Realistic Tree Models
Kučerňák, Martin ; Nečas, Ondřej (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with generating realistic tree models. It describes briefly growth of trees and factors that influence growth. Next, it describes development of methods for tree generation, and describes few chosen methods. After that, simple stochastic method for generating trees is designed, and application, in which the method is implemented, is described. Trees created by this method are then compared with existing methods and aplications, and its qualities are discussed. Then areas with room for improvement are named.

Graphics Intro 64kB Using Ray Tracing
Krupa, Martin ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The object of my bachelor's thesis was to get acquainted with phenomenon of graphics intro with limmited size, to study actual display techniques, which are using real-time ray tracing and make own graphics intro by using these techniques and executable of this intro is limmited to 64kB. The work also briefly introduces history of making graphics intros and reasons for their creation. It contains description of techniques used to create intro and comparation of them. This work also describes own implementation of aplication and its results. Finally there is evaluation of thesis and ways of improvements.
