The program is written for operating system Windows. This work includes description of some standard algorithms for motion detection, which are used in enclosed program SecureCam. Also analyzes software architecture and design of applications working with more video inputs at once. In the last pages of this work can reader find some advices and tutorials on using of made application.

Generating of self-replicating cellular automata
Bardiovský, Vojtech ; Toropila, Daniel (referee) ; Surynek, Pavel (advisor)
The family of self-replicating cellular automata is interesting mainly for being able to demonstrate that even simple environments can make rise to structures capable of self-replication. Besides creating its own copy, a purposedly designed automaton can produce additional side patterns during its lifetime. The aim of the work is to create a cellular automata simulation environment that is flexible and fast, as some cellular automata become interesting only after thousands or millions of steps. The second aim of the work is to design and implement a generalisation of the Tempesti's loop using this environment. The outcome of the work is a generalisation that allows for automatized creation of rules and patterns for a given side pattern.

The dual concept of God in Eriugena's "Perphyseon"
Fořtová, Zuzana ; Němec, Václav (referee) ; Karfíková, Lenka (advisor)
This work is concerned with the conception of God in John Eriugena's "Periphyseon". My thesis is that in "Periphyseon", we can find two different concepts of God the connection of which is not easily understood. On the one hand there is a conception of God as someone who creates the world in the act of selfcreation and who finally returns to himself as to an end. On the other hand, there is a concept of God as the Trinity of divine persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). In my work, at first I attempt to present both of Eriugena's conceptions of God in more detail. Afterwards, I show how Eriugena himself attempts to connect both concepts. However, I argue that we are not actually able to understand this connection on the basis of Eriugena's explanation; rather, we have to try to infer this connection on our own. This is the aim of the last chapter, in which I try to achieve this - with the aid of Beierwaltes' interpretation - on the grounds of the dual terms of "creation" and "causation".

The VA: A Political Solution to a Societal Problem
Henceroth, Nathan William ; Raška, Francis (advisor) ; Hrishabh, Sandilya (referee)
Thesis Abstract The thesis of this project is that the United States' Department of Veteran Affairs, the VA, is a political creation, since its foundations were not charitable, economic, faith-based, ethnic, etc. Its foundation was purely on the political wherewithal and expediency that the Federal Government in Washington, DC felt during the interwar years, and the threat to American society that many WWI veterans posed as a result of their being angry at not receiving advanced payments on their bonuses. This is the central thesis, albeit nuanced, that pre determined whether the VA had any chance at succeeding at its goals. Secondarily, this paper outlines why the VA has been able to become the relative success that it has been. With regards to the starting point at which many veterans enter into the VA health care system, the results have been nothing less than a minor miracle. This aspect is analyzed and outlined within the body of the paper, and specific examples are given in support. In addition, the VA's health care system is explained, and its organization is presented in the form of maps and charts to expedite the reader's knowledge acquisition. To fully understand the VA's outreach, its organization must be understood. It is important to understand the context in which the VA was created, and the...

TEL/AML1, BCR/ABL and TEL/ABL Fusion genes in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Žaliová, Markéta ; Trka, Jan (advisor) ; Machová Poláková, Kateřina (referee) ; Pospíšilová, Dagmar (referee)
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common malignancy in childhood. It represents a group of clinically and biologically heterogenous malignancies that can be subclasified into several subtypes according to the presence of recurrent genetic aberrations. The typical genetic aberrations in childhood ALL are chromosomal translocation, that often result in creation of fusion genes encoding either chimeric kinases or chimeric transcription factors. These recurrent genetic aberations are aquired lesions, they are supposed to be the initial hits (that may arise even prenataly) with a causal role in the process of leukemogenesis, which is, however, in the majority of them not yet fully understood. They further represent specific markes used for the detection of leukemic cells and some of them have also prognostic significance and belong among the factors used for risk group stratification in treatment protocols. Risk group stratification and subsequent risk-adapted therapy together with introduction of new therapeutic approaches (intensive chemotherapeutic regimens involving intrathecal application, hematopoetic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), supportive therapy) account for the significant improvement of the treatment outcomes of childhood ALL in the last decades. In addition to genotype, several...

Framework Cappuccino
Malina, Jiří ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
In this bachelor thesis Framework Cappuccino I'm trying to test the framework of the same name. This study is divided into two parts, theoretical one and the practical one. In theoretical part I focus on the differences between this framework and that of Google Web Toolkit. Following with the questioning whether Cappuccino framework is able to implement such patterns which are necessary for creation enterprise applications. In practical part I tried to create several of my own applications while using the Cappuccino framework and to evaluate if the framework helps the work or if it makes it more difficult to write.

Regime of Thunderstorm occurence in Slovakia
Kontrošová, Jana ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor)
4 Abstract The subject matter of my thesis is the regime of thunderstorm occurrence in Slovakia. In the theoretic part of my work, I deal with thunderstorm categorization, condition of its creation and development and with side-effect phenomena. I also mention continentality of climate, which is linked with disintegration and occurrence of days of thunderstorms and thunderstorms. In the practical part, I focus on statistic analysis of number of days of thunderstorms and thunderstorms at the Irish meteorological station Valentia, which represents ocean climate and at 5 Slovak meteorological stations with continental climate in the period of 1961 - 2006 or 2007. I study the trend during years, months, seasons and number of thunderstorm phenomena at the stations, while comparing principles of oceanic and continental climate in the context of thunderstorms and days of thunderstorms occurrence. The main object of my thesis it to define thunderstorm season at each station by method of cumulative series designed by I. Sládek. Conventionally specified seasons do not always match reality. By this method, it is able to determine the natural beginning, end and duration of seasons according to selected climatological parameter. The thunderstorm season at Slovak meteorological stations usually begins at 3rd of May, ends...

The benefits of system thinking in business practice of information manager
Dalihod, Martin ; Mildeová, Stanislava (advisor) ; Šajtar, Michal (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis it is a promotion of the system works and mainly the advantages of system thinking in the praxis of the information manager, system thinking limits setting as unique and necessary way of thinking, learning and tremendous potential prezentation of system thinking for the information manager job. There is emphesized the need of connecting the paradigma of system thinking knowledges with psychology knowledges potential. The system thinking presents collection of mental practics and system steps leading towards systems functions understanding, model creation and variants selection .It is really necessary the information manager would be able to do a quality process analysis where he would be able to map all transformation spots with data objects and would be able to propose the information strategy the information manager has to have many years of experiences and manage the system thinking skills.

Rendering Using Deep Shadowmaps
Hypský, Jan ; Kobrtek, Jozef (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
In computer graphics is problematic shadow rendering. Applications require to choose the appropriate lighting and shading method with respect to speed and display quality. This work is focused on rendering the shadows and eliminate alias, arising during their creation. For to create shadows will work to implement the methods Shadow Maps and she's extensions variant Deep Shadow Maps. Shadow maps allow to create shadow independently of the scene complexity without treatment alias. Deep shadow maps are able to display shadows along with the removal of alias thereby improve the quality of shading.  For lighting scene are used local Lambert lighting models. The resulting application is created with using library OpenGL.
