Tuner for UHF Receiver with Low Power Consuption
Kaštánek, Martin ; Vágner, Petr (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
The purpose of this work was to make a proposal for input parts of receiver for band 430 to 440 MHz. A model of chosen semiconductor triode BFP540 was created in simulation software. Possibilities how to decrease consumption of this semiconductor triode, keeping the profit, were investigated through the simulation. In compromise consumption, keeping the profit of the amplifier - an optimal operating point for this semiconductor triode UCE = 1,2 V and IC = 2 mA was found. It was tested through the testing wiring with noise microstrips conformity. Ascertained knowledge was used for construction of tuner for UHF receiver. An operating point of input amplifier of UHF receiver was owing to power supply amplifier forced for bigger effectiveness to UCE = 2,65 V and IC = 2,0 mA. Suppression of mirror frequency is provided with Helix filter of the third order, because of intermediate frequency 10,7 MHz. Mixing on intermediate frequency is made again by semiconductor triode BFP540. Selectivity of receiver is provided with intermediate frequency crystal filter 10,7 MHz with bandwidth 15 kHz. Designed input part enables reception of SSB, FM and digital types of modulation.Bandwidth intermediate frequency exit is adapted to this request To receive particular modulation , it is necessary to complete intermediate frequency signal way with appropriate intermediate frequency filter.

Jurnečková, Alena ; Vadkertiová, Renata (referee) ; Stratilová, Eva (advisor)
Cryptococccus genus is known for its difficult identification and taxonomical classification in area of clinical microbiology. For this bachelor thesis, total 22 yeast strains of the Cryptococcus genus were chosen. The part of strains was firstly analyzed by D1/D2 domain LSU rRNA gene analysis. Three types of culture medium – YPD, potato dextrose agar and Sabouraud’s medium were selected for cultivation. Samples were prepared according to standardized method of Bruker Daltonik company, Institute of Chemistry of SAS and combination of these two methods. Identification was done by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Obtained spectra were compared using corresponding software and evaluated on the basis of specific algorithm. The most advantageous culture medium for cultivation and biotyping with the largest percentage score was YPD (Yeasts pepton dextrose). On the other hand, the least advantageous culture medium was Sabouraud’s agar, which reached the smallest percentage success due to parameters of Bruker Daltonik algorithm. The most succesfull method of sample preparation and application was the combined method with YPD as a culture medium. The results of complete analysis are dendrograms for each medium showing the genetic similarity of yeast strains. The dendrogram shows categorization of the single strains into appropriate groups. Cr. flavescens (CCY 17-3-28, CCY 17-3-30) and Cr. laurentii (CCY 17-3-2) strains were correctly integrated into phylogenetic group Cr. laurentii I (branch in the dendrogram with designation A). Cr. flavus (CCY 17-3-5) doesn’t belong to this group, although it shows similarity with Cr. flavescens. The strains Cr. carnescens (CCY 17-3-13) and Cr. victoriae (CCY 17-3-26) belong to the phylogenetic group Cr. laurentii II (designated as B). Cr. magnus (CCY 17-4-39, CCY 17-4-40) strains show similarity with these strains, but doesn’t belong to the phylogenetic group II. The strains Cr. gastricus (CCY 17-5-1) and Cr. diffluens (non-attached) form a branch designated as C. Cr. aerius (CCY 17-4-9) strain, which was also put into this group, was proposed to sequence analysis, because its spectrum indicates that it should be rather a Cr. diffluens strain. The group D contains Bulleromyces albus (CCY 17-3-35, CCY 17-3-36) and Cr. saitoi (CCY 17-3-18, CCY 17-4-2) strains. The sequenced Cr. albidus (CCY 17-4-1), non-sequenced Cr. diffluens (CCY 17-4-13) and Cr. terreus (CCY 17-8-1) form the group E. The strain CCY 17-4-13 was proposed to sequence analysis because of occurrence of the Cr. diffluens sequenced strain in the group C. The sequenced Cr. aerius (CCY 17-25-1) is also part of this group, but it represents a separate branch. The last group is named as F and consists of Cr. macerans (CCY 17-19-3) and control strains Cr. neoformans var. neoformans (CCY 17-1-4, CCY 17-1-5).

Analysis of selected secondary structures of nucleic acids
Skružný, Petr ; Mokrejš, Martin (advisor) ; Drda Morávková, Alena (referee)
This work introduces a database of experimentally verified structures of nucleic acids which were collected from published scientific literature. The database is annotated and the structures are analysed from the perspective of quality and it was found that the experimentally obtained data are not always sufficient - their supporting evidence is often limited and their quality is not convincing. This work also discusses some of the problems, that can be encountered when the structures are experimentally probed. Contents of the database were compared to the RFAM database and despite of its small range it contains 80 new structures. The complete database of 166 structures can be possibly used to optimise software used to predict derived structures of nucleic acids. Furthermore, the work presents several possible ways of improvement of the quality of contained structures.

Simulation of the client workplace of the health insurance company
Karbusická, Martina ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
Simulation is an advanced tool to capture and simplify a complex system and it allows to track the effects of changes in it to function of the entire system. The aim of the thesis was to model the current function of the system and monitor the effects of changes by experiments with the model in order to find a new and better solution. In this thesis, the running of the client workplace of Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna ČR was monitored and the simulation was based on real data from May 2012. The simulation was performed using the software Simul8. The results of the base case show that the system leads to accumulation of entities and long time spent in the queue. Within experimenting with the model there were created 8 scenarios that modify some parts of the system. Firstly the results of the scenarios were compared to the base case and then they were compared with each other. The scenario that was chosen as the best, was better in most of parameters compared to the base case. The parameter with the worst value in the base case - time spent queuing for a normal counter - has improved by 62 % in the new scenario. This scenario was chosen as a new and better solution for the current system.

Interpretation of the Term Packaging Using the Apple Brand as an Example
Ducháč, Aleš ; Dolanský, Pavel (advisor) ; Hejlová, Denisa (referee)
Bachelor thesis "Interpretation of the term packaging using the Apple brand as an example" is divided into two parts which are closely mutually linked. The first, theoretical part, describes the history and evolution of product packages from their early beginnings up to the present. Packages initially mostly fulfilled their original protection function which aimed to safely transport various goods and to preserve the quality of food. Today, the operational range of wrappings, or packages so to speak, increased and a new term, packaging, is being used to represent all its aspects. While retaining high protection standards, packaging must also serve as a tool for promotion and differentiation. With regard to the importance of this phenomenon for contemporary marketing, I added an analysis of the term and its inclusion into the marketing mix, which serves as a summary of the basic marketing principles, to the first part of the bachelor thesis. The second part focuses on the demonstration of complexity and importance of packaging in practice as a full-valued marketing tool. To show the right usage of this tool in all its realms of significance I chose a well known American company called Apple Inc. which develops and manufactures various software applications and electronic devices.
