French Chanson: Translation and Reception
Havrdová Fathi, Mai ; Šotolová, Jovanka (advisor) ; Belisová, Šárka (referee)
The topic of the present paper is the translation of the French chanson into Czech. The paper focuses on the analysis of eight lyrics from the repertoire of G. Brassens, J. Brel and E. Piaf (the translators are J. Dědeček, P. Kopta, M. Balejová and S. E. Brandejsová). The paper examines prevailing functional characteristics of the originals and the extent to which these have been maintained in the various Czech translations. Special attention is given to the relation between semantic accuracy and "successful" translations, meaning here translations which maintain the prevailing functional characteristics of the original. Preceding the analysis is the theoretical part of the paper in which we introduce some terms and theoretical models applied by theoreticians in the field of translation (J. Levý, K. Reiss, P. Low), insofar as these terms and models are relevant to the topic.

Charvátová, Alena ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee) ; Jandová, Soňa (referee)
: The content of the following thesis was to determine whether locomotion through the shoulder girdle in our case, kayaking and paddling simulator, made the same timing of muscle involvement. Muscle loops run in a diagonal character and chaining muscle groups depending on the imposition of puncta fixa, proximal or distal . Locomotion research provided through the shoulder girdle will be made at kayaking, which is typical for this locomotion. Movement is carried trunk muscles, shoulders and upper limbs. There is, however, also activate the muscles of the lower limbs, motion pattern is becoming global and it also serves to link with the ship. The research objective was to determine the content of the kinesiology of movement while the frame forward to kayaking gear, and its comparison with other types of locomotion made through the shoulder girdle. According to the timing of muscle involvement can specify a "reference framework map of coordinating locomotion. Successive order to evaluate differences in timing of muscle involvement in different types of activities and determine the effectiveness of their use as training resources for performance paddlers. Electromyographycaly we watched the activity of selected muscles in repeated actions: typical human locomotion braiding shoulder, while kayaking and...

Activity of noble crayfish (Astacus astacus) and spiny-cheek crayfish (Orconectes limosus) under the laboratory coditions

Activity of noble crayfish (Astacus astacus) and spiny-cheek crayfish (Orconectes limosus) under the laboratory coditions University of South Bohemia České Budějovice - Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Fisheries Author: Martin Musil Contact: mue.@seznam.cz Abstract: Some authors point out, that the American species are more activated than European during the day. Noble crayfish (Astacus astacus L.) is the night animal. Spiny-cheek crayfish (Orconectes limosus Raf.) is the most agresive species with more activity during the day, whose is of itself ecologic and reproductions characteristic typical r{--}strategist. And over than above it is a vector of crayfish plague. Objective of this study was the observe the daily and noctural of both species, the influence of fish predators and murmurs of agresivity. The bulk of this work was in ethologic laboratory with using videotechnic in control conditions and directed lightregimen. The findings see the big diference between species, that the spiny-cheek crayfish is more activated that the noble crayfish (51,4%{$\pm$}4,33 of the 24 hour activity) with slight diference between the day and night. Someones of the subjects don´t look for the cover during the experiment, it were mainly the females, whose activity were better than the male. Noble crayfish embodied low aktivity (15,1%{$\pm$}8,22 of the 24 hour activity) with more highly diference between the day and night and with slight diference between the sex. The inherence of the fish predator have had slight influence on the both species, rather sometimes take on the crayfish attention. The agresivity of the both is at least comparable, so it isn´t clear, that the spiny-cheek crayfish would be more successful in proximate competetion without the infection of crayfish plague.

Erozní potenciál bublinkové kavitace ve vodním čerpadle – numerická simulace a experiment
Zima, Patrik ; Sedlář, M. ; Müller, M.
A model assessing erosive potential of cavitation bubbles for 3D steady-state pump flow in the traveling cavitation mode is proposed. The 3D Navier-Stokes code for turbulent pump flow is coupled with the Rayleigh-Plesset equation by means of two-way coupling. The energy dissipated between two successive bubble rebounds is estimated to assess the erosive potential. The model is validated for a 2D hydrofoil in the cavitation tunnel and then employed for a 3D mixed-flow water pump impeller. The numerical results indicate the dominant effect of the first collapse and are in good agreement with the experiment.

An analysis of thr quick counter - attack
Toncar, Jan ; Buzek, Mario (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: An analysis of the quick counter-attack Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to analyse successful quick counter-attacks. In order to do this, we watched all seven matches played by the Czech under-20 team at the World Cup in 2007. We monitored players in attack and also in defence. Another aim is to de- termine the place where is the quick counter-attack is established and how it is develo- ped. Equally important is our intention to outline the content of individual scenarios and to evaluate the ones which lead to goals. Methods: In this thesis we have employed the indirect viewing method using video recordings. We analysed successful quick counter-attacks from two points of view; from that of quanti- ty and quality. The former concentrates on the study of individual successful counter- attacks. Analysis studies the scenarios. Results: The results show which quick counter-attack scenarios were implemented by the Czech under-20 team in the 2007 World Cup. They also explain the use of the quick counter- attack in today's modern game and it is posible to work into training routines the scena- rios which are elaborated in this dissertation, and so successfully to apply them in diffe- rent performance groups. Keywords: Football, quantity and quality analysis, scenario.

The Role of Culture in the Process of Regeneration of Post-industrial City
Milatová, Barbora ; Macháček, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vochozková, Jacqueline (referee)
The main subject of thesis The Role of Culture in the Process of Regeneration of Post-industrial City is to introduce the theoretical concept of regeneration of former industrial cities through culture and evaluate the impact of culture on the regeneration of post-industrial city. The first part is aimed at general issues of culture in regional development and attractiveness of the city, there are mentioned basic concepts related to the issue and defined trends in the development and regeneration of post-industrial cities through culture. The second part is aimed at the process of transformation of the city of Ostrava and contains an analysis of the current situation in the city. The City of Ostrava has prepared a strategic document presenting the revival of city through culture as a factor of improving its external image, but also a source of regional identity and the cultivation of the community. Empirical verification of the contribution of current policies to the regeneration and development of Ostrava city through culture is conducted through a questionnaire survey. The results show that the citizens of the city noticed visible changes towards the improving the quality of life in a city, however, if the city intends to continue in its successful strategy of regeneration, emphasis should be placed on citizen participation, their feedback and utilization of previously completed cultural investments should be improved by connection of existing cultural infrastructure.

In the thesis the author deals with the surgical technique of the genioglossus advancement and hyoid myotomy (GAHM) in the obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSAS) therapy. He focuses in particular on methods used to widen the upper airway by surgical modification of facial bones. Following the definition of the research objective in Chapter 1 and the general introduction in Chapter 2, we can find in Chapter 3 the description and definition of OSAS as well as physiological, pathophysiological and epidemiological notes on sleep, ventilation in sleep and OSAS. In Chapter 4 the author recommends some new methods of examining the upper airway that can be applied in an ordinary dental surgery to predict the risk of development or occurrence of OSAS in some patients. Chapter 5 includes an overview of therapeutic options for OSAS and a detailed description of different GAHM techniques. In accordance with the research objectives and the methodology described in Chapter 6, the results in Chapter 7 show, for a large sample of examined patients, the dependence of obesity (as expressed by the BMI) on the severity of OSAS, along with some cephalometric values in which such dependence has not been published so far. Then the chapter documents a high success rate of GAHM treatment of OSAS in operated patients. This is so,...

Válková, Eva ; Mojžíš, Otakar (referee) ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor)
The influence of condition workout on the performance of a junior tennis player The goal of the thesis is to find out to what extent the performance of a junior tennis player is influenced by a condition workout. The goal of performing regular tests is mainly to analyze the improvement or decline of the condition of a selected group of players between the age of 7 - 15 years, and furthermore, to evaluate the relation between the improvement of condition and tennis performance based the results of these tests. Questionnaires are set up to find out the attitude of successful as well as less successful players towards condition workout, and also whether improved physical fitness has a positive impact on the mental part of young tennis players' game. The results of the thesis indicate that improved physical fitness has a significant impact on young tennis players' performance. It has also shown that the mental part of their game is positively influenced thereby, too. And last but not least, players who are more successful dedicate more time to their tennis, condition, and regeneration exercises than their less successful rivals.

Jáchymovský, Oliver ; Machek, Martin (advisor) ; Kraus, Karel (referee)
Positioning is a key element of brand's strategic management and it is often a driver for success on given market. In every brand's life cycle there can be a moment, where current positioning simply doesn't work anymore, so there is need to reposition the brand to modify the current one or develop a new one. The main goal of this master thesis is to give readers full detail of the whole process of repositioning and to create ideal scenario for this process in FMCG market. I describe all most important parts of the brand and its strategic management related to positioning in the theoretical part. In the practical part I use a method of case study of Birell brand to describe real example of repositioning. This case study also includes reasons and consequences of the repositioning. In conclusion of the thesis, there is compiled ideal scenario of the whole process, that can serve as a basis for further research or as a instruction for future projects.
