Hochová, Hana ; Uhlířová, Jana (advisor) ; Křivánek, Zdeněk (referee)
The diploma work is divided into two parts. In the first part which is a theoretical one, I have been focused on the analysis of Komensky's thoughts, on the issues of human activity, on the didactical principles, and particularly on the object teaching which culminated later on in the work Scltola ludus. Further my work deals with the development and with the analysis of the factually language textbooks in the context with life cycle of Jan Amos Komensky, with the position of work Orbis sensualium pictus among these textbooks and with the analysis of the own text. In the second part which is a practical one, I dealt with the selection of seven chapters of the work Orbis sensualium pictus through which I intended to reach an understanding with Komensky epoch and to perform a contemporary educational subjectmatter. A new Orbis pictus has been created by pupils, who fitted it with a new up-to-date content and continued the original themes of Komensky. As a method of my work I opted a long term project having duration one month. Being carried out with pupils of first class of the primary school.

Tje evolution of television and its audience
Pěničková, Barbora ; Řehořová, Irena (advisor) ; Svoboda, Aleš (referee)
The diploma thesis will be devoted to the theme of traditional and new media, that are becoming dominates the media world and an important part of everyday life. The text aims to introduce television as a medium that is constantly evolving, as well as the and its audience. Based on this assumption, we will examine television from the perspective of several main media theorists. In fact, there are several basically different views on this medium and its audience. Especially older writers such as Pierre Bourdieu, Neil Postman, Jeremy Orlebar or Guy Debord, have become accustomed to television and the overall medial platform as manipulative and television audience passive. On the other hand, there are also several authors, who see media in progress, digitization and the emergence of new media as new possibilities. We are talking about Pierre Levy, Don Tapscott and Axel Bruns. Between the two opposites are still moving Stuart Hall and John Fiske. Special attention will be devoted to the issue of the gradual development of television as a medium and its audience. Television is in fact considered as one of the traditional (old) media, however, it is changing with technological developments and respond to innovation. I will try to answer the question of what television as we know it today, uses of old and...

A Language-based Analysis of the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
Baxová, Barbora ; Podhajská, Eva (advisor) ; Bučková, Tamara (referee)
Jazyková analýze deníku "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" byla prováděna na rovině slova, věty a stylu. K této analýze byly vybrány tři výtisky deníku s daty: 11. ledna, 27. června a 19. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

For the analysis I use 6 examples of textbooks which are either the most commonly used in the Czech Republic and Germany, or bring a specific approach to the dec1ension subject. The core of the paper is based on comparison of the horizontal and vertical structuring of dec1ension presentation in the examined textbooks and my suggestion of a possible altemative to both of the mentioned concepts. By using the advantages of both of them I try to create a compromise between them to make dec1ension teaching and learning more effective and attractive for both teachers and leamers. Moreover, I be1ieve that every attempt for a new...

Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Logical Representation of Language Structures
Novák, Václav
This thesis is meant as a basis for a semantic annotation manual. The annotation will translate the logical structure of written and spoken speech by a language-independent manner. The basis for this thesis can be found in temporal logic of Mark Steedman and the formalism introduced here elaborates on Patrick Blackburn's hybrid multimodal logic and Dependency Grammar Logic of Geert-Jan Kruijff, although it represents not the level of linguistic meaning but rather the level of logical meaning (content). The main issues discussed in this thesis are input text segmentation into logical units, discourse referents representation, time-spatial representation, the impact of topic-focus articulation on the logical content and the semantic categories needed for the annotation. In the last two chapters a complete discourse example and the annotation of 37 test cases of Jan Hajič are presented.

The chapter about modern roof gardens contains examples from Czech republic and around the world in the form of extensive and intensive roof vegetation, interesting by their construction and their concepts. Practical part consists of two main chapters. First one evaluates the main underlying data and the layer structure of the already prepared flower-beds, for which there was then created koncept and planting plan. Separate project points out the proposal in the form of design parts, devided into individual subheads. First part shows a color variation of the thought, second is in the form of planting plan with the tables of used plants. There are presented techniques of the material transportation and deposition of individual components, which are used in the proposal. Final subheads contain informations about proposed maintnance of the roof garden and original budget. The space of the roof garden is intended for educational purposes for students, because it brings colorful sortiment of plants and also it is representative element of the Inter-faculty center of Enviromental Sciences II. Because the original design (plan, proposal) was not fully implemented, there is realistic plan added to the project part, which can be seen on the roof of MCEV II. Šteidlová, Kateřina ; MACHKOVÁ, Eva (advisor) ; SCHWARZOVÁ, Kateřina (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with an analysis and comparison of dramatizations of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame, a book which ranks among the British children's classics. The paper examines to what extent the dramatizations correspond to the book, whether and why they deviate from the original text, and what consequences these changes have. In the final chapter, I summarize my findings and draw the conclusion.
