Possibilities and application of activation in chemical education
Zákostelná, Barbora ; Šulcová, Renata (advisor) ; Solárová, Marie (referee) ; Smrček, Stanislav (referee)
Possibility and Use of Activation in Chemical Education Mgr. Barbora Zákostelná Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, 2012 In the last decade educational curricular documents in the CR interconnected with the European Union have being changed. The structure of national education comes out of so called Lisbon trial in which the Czech Republic has participated since 2010. Before this reform there was a document 'National Programme of Education in the Czech Republic' (so called White Book) from which the new education law (No. 561/2004 of legal code) originated. One of the main parts of the reform is introduction of General Educational Programme (RVP) in education (from pre-school education up to higher secondary education). On the basis of RVP published and endorsed by the Ministry of Education each school creates its own individual School Educational Programme (ŠVP). It is just the ŠVP what makes each school different from other schools with similar type of specialization and allows them to prepare a unique schooling. Uniqueness can be also achieved by using "modern didactical technology" electronic materials and activation methods of teaching. This fact has made a basis for the questionnaire survey that is a research part of this dissertation work. A partial aim of this work was to find...

Human Capital and Investing into it in the Selected Company
Kosa, Kristina ; Šrédl, Karel (advisor) ; Hana, Hana (referee)
In this graduate work studied problems of human capital and investing in it. Currently, the concept of human capital is widely used. From all enterprise resources, especially in human capital contains the greatest scope for increasing the efficiency of the functioning of modern enterprise. Human capital is becoming the object of investing together with technical equipment, buildings, technologies. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts of human capital, basic viewpoints on human capital theory. The goal of this graduate work is the comparison points of view on the human capital theory and forecasts of market development of human capital in the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation. In the practical part analyzed investing behavior of the Russian group of companies Master in human capital. The task of the practical part is to find out how the company trying to develop its human capital.

E-commerce Options and Design Online E-shop
Šura, Jiří ; Ing.Eugeniusz Szturc (referee) ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis focuses on electronic commerce. It’s partly aimed at technological requirements of e-commerce and its basic technologies. Another part deals with e-shops, their running rules and their use in the modern society. This thesis also contains an e-shop design, usable for deferred implementation.

Collectivization of the countryside in memories of witnesses from the localities Lhenice and Mičovice
Kolářová, Lucie ; Kreisslová, Sandra (advisor) ; Tereza, Tereza (referee)
The submitted thesis focuses on the period of forced collectivisation in rural Czechoslovakia and is a case study of the villages Lhenice and Mičovice. The focus of the work is to determine what images of collectivisation are still in the minds of the local residents and how this process affected the daily lives of their past. The theoretical section explains the concepts of everyday life, socialistic everyday life, memory and collective memory. It was conducted in the form of oral history method and archive research. Thanks to this approach the work illustrates view of witnesses who lived during the process of collectivization. It deepens our understanding of Czechoslovak modern history through the perspective of local residents.

Za rámec běžného plánování podníkání: budování internetového startupu v rychlé ekonomice
Šimek, Vojtěch ; Krause, Josef (advisor) ; Vaněček, Michal (referee)
First part of the thesis compares available approaches on business planning, namely the traditional and newly emerged and proposes a Business Planning Approach Selection Framework that should help (newbie) entrepreneurs with orientation in the chaotic business planning world and choosing an approach suiting their specific needs. Conclusion of the theoretical part is that both the traditional and modern business plans have their role in todays business environment. While the old are great for external presentation and funds securing, the new enable to create more complex process for planning successful business from the original idea to and beyond their launch, building on customer feedback and gradual iterations. The practical part then builds on the theoretical research and aims to check feasibility of an actual business project, a multisided platform mediating sales of automotive financial products. It describes the model refinement and product creation process as well as eventually proves viability and feasibility of the whole business.

Vectorial Kerr magnetometry
Flajšman, Lukáš ; Veis,, Martin (referee) ; Urbánek, Michal (advisor)
Increased complexity of novel magnetic materials in the last decade has placed high demands on the manufacturing process as well as on the characterization. One of the possibilities for characterization of magnetic samples is to exploit the magneto-optical effects. The presented work uses the magneto-optical Kerr effect as a major characterization technique to probe the magnetic properties of samples. We have developed a mathematical model describing the effect of the magnetization on the polarized light and present an apparatus capable of measuring the response given by the light-matter interaction. The experimental results show the performance of the apparatus on the various magnetic systems including meta-stable iron layers, Stoner-Wohlfarth particles and magnetic vortices. The scanning vectorial Kerr magnetometer allowed us to probe the vector of magnetization with diffraction limited resolution below 500 nm.

Metrics for Optimizing Statistical Machine Translation
Macháček, Matouš ; Bojar, Ondřej (advisor) ; Popel, Martin (referee)
State-of-the-art MT systems use so called log-linear model, which combines several components to predict the probability of the translation of a given sentence. Each component has its weight in the log-linear model. These weights are generally trained to optimize BLEU, but there are many alternative automatic metrics and some of them correlate better with human judgments than BLEU. We explore various metrics (PER, WER, CDER, TER, BLEU and SemPOS) in terms of correlation with human judgments. Metric SemPOS is examined in more detail and we propose some approximations and variants. We use the examined metrics to train Czech to English MT system using MERT method and explore how optimizing toward various automatic evaluation metrics affects the resulting model.

The derivates of pyridinium belong to promising group of molecules applicable in molecular electronics. For this purpose, four expanded branched pyridinium compounds were synthetized and the influence of the molecular structure on their electrochemical properties and single-molecule conductances has been studied. The highest values of conductance provided compounds 9-(pyridin-4-yl)benzo[c]benzo[1,2]quinolizino[3,4,5,6-ija][1,6]naphthyridin-15-ium tetrafluoroborate and 3,5-dimethyl-2´,6´-diphenyl-[4,1´:4´,4´´-terpyridin]-1´-ium tetrafluoroborate. By the electrochemical reduction both of these compounds received two electrons in two separated one-electron steps. On the other hand, the compounds 2´,6´-diphenyl-[4,1´:4´,4´´-terpyridin]-1´-ium tetrafluoroborate and 2,6-diphenyl-4-(4-(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl)-[1,4´-bipyridin]-1-ium tetrafluoroborate are reduced by different mechanism and their conductance was lower.

Collective buying like a modern marketing tool
Halásová, Lenka ; Zamazalová, Marcela (advisor) ; Bečková, Zuzana (referee)
This thesis deals with a new trend and a marketing tool -- collective buying. The aim of the work is to describe this trend from two different perspectives and to provide a short-term forecast. In the theoretical sections, we give overview of the history of collective buying, basic terms from the field, and the current situation in the Czech Republic and worldwide. We continue with sections describing the operations of a specific company from the field, BonyBony, which entered the market in September 2010. Author of this thesis has been employed in the company since its founding. In these sections we describe basic operation of the company, marketing tools used and advantages over the competition. The future of companies dealing with collective buying is uncertain; many of them are in red numbers. The last part of this work therefore tries to project the short-term forecast for this company using expert view based on the data acquired from a survey.
