Motivation of choosing a career as a paramedic
PETRŮ, Michal
The expression ``motivation`` describes the fact that the human psyche is affected by internal driving forces, both conscious and subconscious. Holland´s vocational personality typology presents six basic types, namely Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional. This thesis is aimed at finding and evaluating motivation factors which influence prospective emergency medical technicians in their professional choice. To get the research data, the combination of quantitative and qualitative techniques was used. The research was conducted among emergency medical technician students at the college and university and, as a supportive research material, among Czech and Scottish Emergency Medical Service professionals. The students´ primary motivating factor influencing their vocational choice to become an emergency medical technician is their interest in this field, sometimes supported by a healthcare worker in the family. Over 80% respondents prefer working in the field which they study. An emergency medical technician belongs to the most popular positions while an emergency dispatcher to the less popular ones. The fact that women respondents like working positions connected with driving a car was a surprising discovery of the research. Corresponding to the recent professional literature, the most frequent career types among professionals and students are Realistic and Social types. This thesis can contribute to further research into this topic (working position preferences, career types). Component findings can be introduced into personnel and human resources management of the Emergency Medical Service, especially searching for Investigative and Conventional career types of workers and their subsequent engagement in pedagogical and administrative work. The research can also be helpful in other issues, e.g. how to make a position of an emergency dispatcher more popular.

BRABENCOVÁ, Věra
This Diploma Thesis bears the theme ?Attitudes of the Pub And Restaurant Employees to the Passive Smoking Problem ? Awareness, Health Influences, Regulation?. The smoking related illnesses and deaths constitute the most difficult problem of the public health care in most countries where smoking is a common habit. Health harm risk owing to tobacco smoke is not limited to smokers only, however even those are exposed to such a harm who inhale the tobacco smoke involuntarily ? ?passive smokers?. The aim of this Thesis was so map the problem and influence of the passive smoking in the environment of pubs and restaurants in České Budějovice. To reach this target, both quantitative and qualitative approach of investigation was used. Respecting the quantitative research via the questionnaire method there were three hypotheses to be defined: ?There is no significant difference between awareness of the passive smoking impacts between the employees of smoking and non-smoking pubs and restaurants?, ?The motivation of pubs and restaurants to keep the smoking concept is, primarily, the fear that they might lose their customers?, ?Employees ? smokers started to smoke owing to their work in the smoking environment?. The first two hypotheses were verified, the third one not. The quantitative research utilized the structured dialogue technique. This part of research included two research questions. The first referred to the employee awareness of passive smoking, the second aimed at fact whether the motivation factor of the pub or restaurant to be pronounced the non-smoking establishment is the care of the employee health. After the research had been completed and analysed, the set target was met. Working on this Thesis I obtained a lot of new findings, and I think that it could be a contribution even to practice and serve as an instructional and information material. In particular, as the Thesis brings brief and clear summary of basic findings concerning the passive smoking and it alerts to topicality and importance of the passive smoking not only in the pubs and restaurants. The Diploma Thesis can be also used to publish the research results in order to improve the working conditions of the pub and restaurant employees alerting them to the passive smoking harmfulness which is often underestimated and marginalized.

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the sodium-cooled fast reactors. It comprehensively describes the problem of sodium-cooled fast reactors. Attention was paid to the basic specifications and parameters of these reactors. There was briefly described nuclear reactions which are under way in core of sodium-cooled fast reactors but also chemical reactions which are linked to function of liquid sodium as a coolant and heat transfer substance. Attention was also paid to the differences in the reactor core configuration and to the machine device specific for sodium-cooled fast reactors. Further on this bachelor’s thesis puts on the overview of sodium-cooled fast reactors that have worked, are still working or are under construction in each country all over the world. There was briefly described generation IV nuclear reactors, particularly its history and reasons that originate generation IV. Under generation IV was also described nuclear reactor SFR and highlighted differences compared to existing sodium-cooled fast reactors. In the practical part of this bachelor’s thesis is easily made a calculation of the heat transfer from the fuel rod to the cooling sodium and there is also mentioned course of the heat transfer coefficient along the fuel rod. Bavarian CSU and Austrian ÖVP: Postmaterialist Society, Cartel Parties?
Bobek, Pavel ; Kunštát, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kučera, Jaroslav (referee)
Both the Bavarian and Austrian societies have been undergoing a broad process of change since 1945: they have experienced a long period of economical growth, a rise of standards in terms of social welfare and education, and thus a value change and a switch to at least partly postmaterial society. Accompanying this change, however, there has also been more public disapproval towards the official policies, the number of people going to the polls has sunk and so has the number of people who are likely to become involved in party politics. Particularly the big, dominant catch-all parties, such as CSU (Christian Social Union of Bavaria) and ÖVP (Austrian People's Party), have been losing their voters and members. As the thesis shows, the developments in both societies are quite similar, as the political culture of Bavaria and Austria - in spite of certain differences - shares many common characteristics. Also, both CSU and ÖVP did partly manage to adapt to the new circumstances, particularly in terms of party funding. Anyway, they did not fully follow the pattern of cartelisation to pursue this adaptation. This reveals the link between postmaterialist change and the development to cartel party to be only partly valid; however, both theories have proved to be helpful in understanding processes taking...

The result of diploma thesis is the determination of economic rents in number of 8 variants with varying degrees of capitalization levels and discount rates. Identified economic rents are finally compared by direct comparison with similar flats and evaluated.

Humanist democracy of Edvard Beneš
Podlaha, Petr ; Čechurová, Jana (advisor) ; Kuklík jun., Jan (referee)
Beneš was committed to the rather radical economical and political ideas of socialism already before the war. He believed that old parliamentarian system of liberal democracy would be inevitably replaced after the war with the new system of humanitarian democracy - the political democracy amended by the social and economic democracy. Beneš suggested that the government should regulate all the important parts of political, social and economic life of the post-war society. The biggest problem of the Czechoslovak prewar political democracy was according to Beneš, the existence of too many parties. Therefore only two, at most three political parties would be allowed to take part in the political struggle after the war. These parties would be organized solely on the basis of the approach towards progress. On the left side of the political spectrum, there would be a uniform socialist party and on the right, there would be a conservative party. The establishment of any other party should be banned. The communists should be part of the socialist party. According to Beneš they would be outnumbered and neutralized there by the other democratic socialist parties. The market economy according to Beneš is an obsolete system and therefore it should be replaced with a planned economy. All bigger businesses and natural...
