Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat ekonomický rozvoj vybraných afrických ekonomik, analyzovat zdroje jejich ekonomického růstu, identifikovat faktory, které jejich ekonomický rozvoj mohou limitovat a zhodnotit vývoj chudoby a lidského rozvoje v těchto zemích Teoretická část se zaměřuje na definici fenoménu ekonomického rozvoje, vybrané teorie a nakonec vymezuje jednotlivé faktory ovlivňující ekonomický rozvoj země. Praktická část analyzuje obecně ekonomický rozvoj afrického kontinentu jako celku a dále analyzuje ekonomický rozvoj vybraných zemí: Rwandy, Ghany a Tanzanie. Za klíčové faktory úspěšného ekonomického rozvoje těchto zemí oproti ostatním africkým zemím lze považovat zásadní institucionální reformy a politickou a makroekonomickou stabilitu. Naopak za limitující faktory lze považovat např. nerozvinutou infrastrukturu, přetrvávající byrokracii či nízkou produktivitu v zemědělství a průmyslu. Z analýzy také vyplývá, že ekonomický rozvoj vybraných zemí je spojen se zlepšováním indikátorů lidského rozvoje a poklesem chudoby populace v těchto zemích. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the economic development of selected African economies, analyze the sources of their economic growth, identify the factors which may limit their economic development and assess the evolution of poverty and human development in these countries. Theoretical part focuses on the definition of the phenomenon of economic development, selected theories and finally defines the factors affecting the economic development of the country. The practical part analyzes the economic development of the African continent as a whole, and then analyzes the economic development of selected countries: Rwanda, Ghana and Tanzania. The key factors of the economic development of these countries can be considered: fundamental institutional reforms and political and macroeconomic stability. On the other hand, limiting factors can be considered underdeveloped infrastructure, bureaucracy or persistent low productivity in agriculture and industry. The analysis also shows that economic development in selected countries is connected to the improvement of indicators of human development and reduction of poverty of population in these countries.
