Pravdová, Lenka ; Hucl, Václav ; Lešundák, Adam ; Lazar, Josef ; Číp, Ondřej
Ultra-high precis measurements are domain of lasers interferometers. An optical resonator measuring method using broad spectrum of radiation of an optical frequency comb was designed and experimentally verified at our workplace. The measuring of a quantity – a distance of resonator mirrors – is provided by its conversion to the value of repetition frequency of the pulse laser with mode-locked optical frequency comb. In this paper the comparison of the absolute scale of the optical resonator with an incremental interferometer scale is introduced. The incremental interferometer is implemented for verification of the optical resonator scale. The double beam incremental interferometer is operating at the wavelength of 633 nm and the measuring mirror with piezo actuator is used as one of its reflectors. It turns out that the major error signal is the reflection of the periodic nonlinearity of the incremental resonator scale. The relative resolution of our method reaches values up to 10-9 while maintaining measuring scale.

Semiconductor lasers are increasingly widespread in areas that have been so far dominated by He-Ne lasers. One of such areas is the length metrology, where He-Ne laser operating at 633nm wavelength is still a traditional source of coherent light for laser interferometers distance measuring. The advantages of semiconductor lasers compared with He-Ne laser are greater optical power and a significantly wider range of wavelength tuning without mode jumps. Another advantage is the possibility of frequency modulation of wavelength of the laser diode by directly changing the injection current. The benefits predetermine these laser diodes for the realization of dual-frequency laser sources for heterodyne interferometry. In this case, using a phase-locked loop technique the optical frequency of a laser diode is locked to the optical frequency of another laser diode with a certain frequency offset in the MHz order. In our contribution we present utilization of DBR laser diodes in implementing a dual-frequency laser source for laser interferometry with heterodyne detection.\n

Packet Classification Algorithms
Díky použití hashovací funkce lze mapování provést v konstantním čase a využít při tom pouze jednu paměť s úzkým datovým rozhraním. Rychlost tohoto algoritmu lze určit analyticky a nezávisí na počtu pravidel ani na charakteru síťového provozu. S využitím dostupných součástek lze dosáhnout propustnosti 266 milionů paketů za sekundu. Následující tři algoritmy uvedené v této práci snižují paměťové nároky prvního algoritmu, aniž by ovlivňovaly rychlost. Druhý algoritmus snižuje velikost paměti o 11 % až 96 % v závislosti na sadě pravidel. Nevýhodu nízké stability odstraňuje třetí algoritmus, který v porovnání s prvním zmenšuje paměťové nároky o 31 % až 84 %. Čtvrtý algoritmus kombinuje třetí algoritmus se starším přístupem a díky využití několika technik zmenšuje paměťové nároky o 73 % až 99 %.

Test Application Methodology Based On the Identification of Testable blocks
Herrman, Tomáš ; Plíva, Zdeněk (referee) ; Racek, Stanislav (referee) ; Kotásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The PhD thesis deals with the analysis of digital systems described on RT level. The methodology of  data paths analysis is decribed, the data path controller analysis is not solved in the thesis. The methodology is built on the concept of Testable Block (TB) which allows to divide digital component to such segments which can be tested through their inputs/outputs, border registers and primary inputs/outputs are used for this purpose. As a result, lower number of registers is needed to be included into scan  chain - border registers are the only ones which are scanned.  The segmentation allows also to reduce the volume of test vectors, tests are generated for segments, not for the complete component. To identify TBs, two evolutionary algorithms are used, they operate on TB formal model which is also defined in the thesis.

Institucionální a politické prostředí a přímé zahraniční investice v tranzitivních ekonomikách
Mádr, Michal
The main aim of the diploma thesis is to identify and quantify influence of institu-tional and political environment on inflows of foreign direct investment in transi-tion economies. The reference period is primarily between 2002 and 2012. The basic indicator of the institutional environment is the concept Governance Matters of World Bank. Regression and correlation analysis is used for quantifica-tion. Results of regression models for transition countries, due to the increasing empirical evidence supporting and generalization of conclusions, are compared with the results for Middle Income Countries. The discussion is divided into three parts. First the differences in influence of institutional environment on inflows of FDI in transition economies and OECD countries are analysed, then differences between the groups of post-socialist countries are evaluated and the third part is focused on importance of democratic and authoritarian regimes in the Balkans states and the former Soviet republics.

Optimization of network flow monitoring
Žádník, Martin ; Lhotka,, Ladislav (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (referee) ; Sekanina, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with optimization of network flow monitoring. Flow-based network traffic processing, that is, processing packets based on some state information associated to the flows which the packets belong to, is a key enabler for a variety of network services and applications. The number of simultaneous flows increases with the growing number of new services and applications. It has become a challenge to keep a state per each flow in a network device processing high speed traffic. A flow table, a structure with flow states, must be stored in a memory hierarchy. The memory closest to the processing is known as a flow cache. Flow cache management plays an important role in terms of its effective utilization, which affects the performance of the whole system. This thesis focuses on an automated design of cache replacement policy optimized to a deployment on particular networks. A genetic algorithm is proposed to automate this process. The genetic algorithm generates and evaluates evolved replacement policies by a simulation on obtained traffic traces. The proposed algorithm is evaluated by designing replacement policies for two variations of the cache management problem. The first variation is an evolution of the replacement policy with an overall low number of state evictions from the flow cache. The second variation represents an evolution of the replacement policy with a low number of evictions belonging to large flows only. Optimized replacement policies for both variations are found while experimenting with various encoding of the replacement policy and genetic operators. The newly evolved replacement policies achieve better results than other tested policies. The evolved replacement policy lowers the overall amount of evictions by ten percent in comparison with the best compared policy. The evolved replacement policy focusing on large flows lowers the amount of their evictions two times. Moreover, no eviction occurs for most of the large flows (over 90%). The evolved replacement policy offers better resilience against flooding the flow cache with large amount of short flows which are typical side effects of scanning or distributed denial of service activities. An extension of the replacement policy is also proposed. The extension complements the replacement policy with an additional information extracted from packet headers. The results show further decrease in the number of evictions when the extension is used.

Surface modification of glass fibers for polymer composites
Knob, Antonín ; Marek,, Aleš (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (referee) ; Čech, Vladimír (advisor)
The doctoral thesis is aimed at preparation of glass fiber reinforced polymer composites with controlled interphase formed by plasma-polymerized tetravinylsilane and tetravinylsilane/oxygen thin films. The thin polymer films of specific physico-chemical properties and thickness were deposited to improve interfacial adhesion of glass fiber/polyester composites. The fiber surface modification was performed by using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition in low-temperature RF plasma operating in an various effective power range and different treatment time. Test results were examined in relation to the interlayer thickness and different treatment conditions. The prepared interlayers were analyzed to evaluate physico-chemical composition and properties (XPS, RBS, ERDA, FTIR and spectroscopic elipsometry). Selected mechanical properties were evaluated by AFM. Mechanical response of plasma interlayers was evaluated by short beam shear test and direct method of testing the interfacial shear strength using microindentation. The interphase shear failure was controlled by the shear strength at the interlayer/fiber interface as follows from experimental and model data.

Flóra zelených vláknitých řas přírodní památky Kutnar (Podle stavu vegetace v letech 1986-1990)
Gardavský, Alexander ; Skácelová, O. ; Lenský, V.
Filamentous green algae were thoroughly studied from preserved samples collected in the Kutnar pool, from which Cyanophyta had been determined earlier (Skácelová et Komárek, 1989). The progress of eutrophication of the nature reserve (mainly caused by washout from fields) and its terrestrialisation caused changes in communities of both higher plants and filamentous algae. Hydrocharis morsus-ranae and Nymphaea alba have retreated: Cladophora globulina (KÜTZ.) KÜTZ., C. rivularis (L.) HOEK /and C. fracta (O. F. MÜLL. ex VAHL) KÜTZ. and Oedogonium capillare (L.) KÜTZ. at present/ are progressing. The expansion of Oenanthe aquatica is also an important factor in the process.More interesting species are presented and illustrated in detail, particularly: Cylindrocapsa geminella WOLLE, Mougeotia scalaris HASS., Oedogonium rivulare (LeCLERC) A. BRAUN, Schizomeris leibleinii KÜTZ. and Uronema cf. africanum BORGE. Other species include: Chaetophora elegans (ROTH) C. A. AG., Cladophora fracta, C. globulina, C. rivularis, Coleochaete scutata BRÉB. and Oedogonium capillare. Uronema africanum is a new species for Czech and Slovac Republic; Oedogonium rivulare var. tongiense is a new variety for Central Europe (it is the second found of this species in Czech and Slovac Republic).Uronema and Schizomeris were studied thoroughly. Schizomeris leibleinii is morphologically highly variable. Some of their stages resemble the genus Uronema in their morphology but differ cytologically. Starch envelopes of pyrenoids are divided into a few parts in Schizomeris, in contrast to the genus Uronema. The anticipated relationship of the genus Schizomeris to other genera of filamentous green algae requires further study and cultivation.
