Social exclusion and its economic and legal aspects
Čutíková, Kateřina ; Korcová, Renata (advisor) ; Civínová, Denisa (referee)
Social exclusion and its economic and legal aspects Summary The aim of this paper work was to evaluate the application of the laws concerning the impal of social exclusion of children and teenagers from special locations. The next drift was to map out the influence of the center Štěpán Trochta on one group of socially excluded children and teenagers from the housing quartem in Teplice Prosetice, which is known for high criminality of teenagers and big concentration of socially deprived people. The target was also to find out if it helps children to easily incorporate to school attendance, to get over difficulties and disadvantage caused by the background they live in. Qualitative research as well as structured and half structured dialogue, observation and examination of documents was applied to this paper work. Analyzing all the facts led to summarize the results and their evaluation. Social exclusion is a phenomena we pay more and more attention the last few years. The main priority is to solve the situation of children and teenagers who are socially excluded. If we don´t help them to improve their situation and we don´t influence thein behavior for future, they will automatically behave as their own parents and they will never extricate from the life in excluded environment. Otherwise these locations won´t be disolved, on the citrany there will be more of them. One of the possible solution is the establishment of new low cost centers and free time centers with connection of targeted complex assistance for families living in social excluded places. The research part of this paperwork mapped out the activities and the impal of these activities on inclusion of children and teenagers into every day life.

The effect of ecotones on the overwintering of Winter damselflies (Odonata: Lestidae)
Dolejšová, Lucie ; Harabiš, Filip (advisor) ; Michal, Michal (referee)
Sympecma fusca is a species of winter damselflies with unique life history. The uniqueness of life history is coupled with overwintering in adult life stage in terrestrial environment, which is associated with high mortality rate. Such risk can be reduced by preference for specific habitats. Since terrestrial environment is frequently affected by anthropogenic disturbances, winter damselflies must respond to interventions into their habitat. This thesis focuses mainly on anthropogenic interventions into the habitat of winter damselflies and the impact of such disturbances on the distribution of individuals of species Sympecma fusca. Capture-Mark-Recapture Method was chosen for modelling of population dynamics in selected transects. Data collection took place during the pre-reproductive period within two years. Year-on-year comparison showed a decrease in abundance as well as changes in distribution of individuals in the studied transects. Individuals responded to habitat disturbances by searching for alternative micro-habitats, preferring places unaffected by anthropogenic disturbances. The acquired data indicate that winter damselflies are able to respond actively to environmental changes, nevertheless number of suitable habitats decreased significantly in the given site. This thesis is only a pilot study. Therefore, other reference sites are suggested for further study of anthropogenic influence on the life history of winter damselflies.

Importance of quarries for invertebrate diversity in fragmented landscapes at national level
Králíčková, Hana ; Kadlec, Tomáš (advisor) ; Štrobl, Martin (referee)
The landscape not only in the Czech Republic was changed into the large units and began to be quite impenetrable. Some types of habitat disappeared from there, which means a big problem for the species with extremely adapted life demands. They need for their life for example heated rocks, quicksand, sparse steppe grasslands and other habitats in early successional stages. Postindustrial areas provide just these conditions and therefore they become a place of their copious occurrence of the invertebrates. Some species in the Czech Republic were cannot find recently anywhere else than at these locations. Quarries provide different types of habitats for e.g. butterflies which need these conditions for their development, reproduction and life. Within the Czech Republic 20 already inactive quarries and 20 adjacent control areas without quarry were selected and there were monitored especially butterflies and nocturnal insects. The goal was to determine whether the presence of a quarry increasing diversity of invertebrates on the local scale. Monitoring was performed at each site four times and obtained data were statistically analyzed. It was found 23 endangered species from the 110 recorded species of diurnal Lepidoptera and other similarly interesting records from other groups. For example Satyrium ilicis was found in a quarry near the village Černotín which is critically endangered. Considerable variations were observed from the overall comparison of abundance and species richness at the sites containing the quarry and the localities which did not include a quarry. The surrounding countryside of quarries there were found greater number of species and higher numbers of individuals than in control areas. In quarries or their nearby areas were observed 19 endangered species which were more numerous than in control areas where there were only 11. The effects on habitat selection had the way of wintering and habitat requirements of each species. It is evident that the quarries with the termination of mining in the modern landscape can play an important role in the development of biodiversity.

Roma people and Velvet Revolution
Tomšů, Kateřina ; Macků, Lucie (advisor) ; Zychová, Jana (referee)
This thesis approaches life of Roma people during communist era, and subsequent changes in their everyday life caused by the velvet revolution. First part approaches explanation of terms such as minority, nationality, integration and acculturisation, totalitarian regime and racial discrimination. The practical part deals with how Roma people dealt with changes inside regime. Testimonies of narrators were divided into larger groups such as everyday life before 1989, the velvet revolution era, life after 1989 Roma language and Roma identity. Thesis uses qualitative research in form of semi-structured interviews with 9 Roma people living in various parts of The Czech Republic.

Is there any seasonal differences in terrestrial habitat use in dragonflies?
Hronková, Jana ; Harabiš, Filip (advisor) ; Aleš, Aleš (referee)
Dragonflies (Odonata) passing through several life stages during their life cycle. During metamorphosis between stages, they did not change only morphology, but also habitat preferences. Although they are associated to aquatic environment during larval stage, adults are much more mobile and can utilize the surrounding terrestrial habitats. Adult dragonflies are also involved in to terrestrial food chains. However the relationship, between the quality of terrestrial habitats and the diversity of dragonflies as well as seasonal changes in utilization of these habitats are still not known. This thesis aiming to analyze the influence of seasonality and distance from aquatic habitat on the abundance of dragonflies. Moreover, the differences in fish farming intensity were considered in the analyses. Fieldwork took place during 2015 from May to September. Data from 29 localities of Czech Republic were included. It is not surprising that I found significant influence of seasonality, on the abundance of all species, as well as a negative relationship between dragonfly abundance and distance from water reservoir. Interestingly, it was found, that dragonfly utilization of terrestrial areas around the extensively managed habitats was significantly higher than in habitats around intensively managed ponds. These findings demonstrate the importance of terrestrial habitats for dragonflies, especially those occurring around extensively managed water habitats.

The main aim of this thesis is to identify factors determining the essence of self-management and the relationship between each key factors influencing self-management performance by managers within corporate environment. The primary data have been collected through questionnaire survey across all levels of management with managers who seek for further self-development. Complex factors are identified using the exploratory factor analysis, which found 6 factors: (F1) Self-managed worker, (F2) Time-managed, (F3) Planner/analyst, (F4) Well-cared worked, (F5) Life-oriented worker and (F6) Ineffective worker. The confirmatory factor analysis further evaluated three positive and four negative relations between extracted factors. The outcomes can be used as a determination of managers approaches to self-management. These researched results serve managers as the basis for leadership and further development of self-managed team members.

Comparative Analysis of the Influence of Multifunctional and Conventional Farming on the Development of Rural Areas
Kólová, Anna ; Kuchtová, Perla (advisor) ; Martina, Martina (referee)
Conventional agriculture is known for industry approaches to agriculture production. This has led not only to a positive increase in productivity per unit area and ensured greater food security (and recently self sufficiency), but on the other hand it also increased farmers dependence on industrial inputs. Among the major drawbacks of the prevailing method belongs simplified management technology, which is reflected in the increasing problems with resistance of diseases and pests as well as the increasing environmental pollution and disruption of the food chain. These approaches also alternate the country, which loses its character of a place friendly to life. Multifunctional agriculture can be seen on the other hand as an alternative agriculture. It has many forms and often has much in common with organic farming. It is focused on other areas than the maximum of market and food production. It is engaged in various activities, which include tourism, leisure activities, crafts and other services, protection of cultural heritage as well as the environment. It has a positive effect on the entire rural development and often tries to produce safe regional food and protection of nature-friendly sustainable management. Even this system, however, has its drawbacks. The aim of the study was to assess and evaluate the impact of different approaches to market farm production, environmental issues, sustainability of agricultural systems and multifunction applications with regard to their effects on rural areas. Additional terms of the coexistence of agricultural enterprises in the Czech Republic were defined. By comparing two different businesses operating on the background of historical facts, it was found that companies with different approaches can in the region and in the Czech Republic not only coexist, but complement each other and at the same time be beneficial not only for the agriculture. However, there were outlined possible changes which should agricultural sector and the enterprises themselves go through in order to achieve sustainability of all functions of the landscape. This is mainly to support alternative farming systems as a suitable complement to conventional agriculture.
