Interview with witnesses in the teaching of history in primary school.

The aim of the thesis is the support and the development of the relationship among different generations and learning among pupils of younger age and elderly people. Teaching national history in a traditional way brings two main problems. Firstly, children learn history through abstract terms, which they are not acquainted with. It is followed by another problem, when the presentation for pupils is not in detail and they cannot imagine most of the historical situations. Memories of contemporary witnesses can help us to solve these problems, because thanks to these memories pupils can better understand historical situations. Therefore, it is necessary to find and use such a way of teaching history in the current education, which would be interesting for pupils. Such a way would encourage an interest of pupils about history and further education. Thanks to this, they can gain different points of view about the background of their family, the place of birth and also about the Czech history. Inner motivation is what we want to achieve. By using activities which stimulate pupils we can develop critical thinking while teaching history. Implementation of project activities into the teaching of regular subjects in adapted physical activity

Name: Implementation of project activities into the teaching of regular subjects of Adapted Physical Activity. Objective: The aim of the thesis is finding out the current state of implementation of project activities into the teaching of regular subjects of APA, examining the students experience with project-based learning, their opinion on project-based learning and the impact of project- based learning on students and their professional and personal life. Furthermore, to present opinions, ideas, experiences, comments and perspectives of students to practising pedagogues and professional public in order to improve attitude to project activities in APA. Methods: We will use theoretical qualitative research phenomenological conception. To achieve our objectives was used a literary analysis, which introduces theoretical bases in relation to APA, pedagogy and philosophy and self-opinion survey containing 46 closed and open questions focused on experience, opinion and attitude towards project-based learning among 15 contemporary and former students of APA who were intentionally selected. "Water" - series of lessons in art education for middle childhood age.

Theoretical and project diploma thesis focuses on elaboration of the thematic art series named "Water" and its realization in art classes of middle aged children at the elementary school. The theoretical part brings the general insight into the problematics of water in art and project teaching. The project part follows and it is composed of seven proposed lectures of art lessons. The description of realizations and didactic analysis of the lectures are included in the project part as well. The diploma thesis is complemented with picture attachments, photo documentation of sectional lessons and proposed structured preparation of lessons.

Working with Texture in Experimental Art Activities at Primary School

This theoretical project-based thesis focuses on surface quality of art objects in the field of artwork. The theoretical section provides general insight into the problematics and it also offers concrete examples of artistic and architectural creations where texture serves an important role. It further introduces and elaborates a few instances of art lessons from special didactics focusing on texture utilization in its artistic activities. The project section of the thesis contains seven logically systematized art lessons which utilize various forms of experimental activities dealing with the subject of texture suitable for the primary school children.

The presented theoretical and project diploma thesis was aimed at developing an art project named Head up, during the Art Education lessons in the first level of elementary school. It is structured in two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part provides a general insight into the problems of the sky and the cloud in visual arts and is followed by the project part which consists in eight proposed art lessons, description of the compositions and the didactic analysis of individual lessons. The diploma thesis is followed with pictorial annexes related to the theoretical part, photo documentation of lessons and proposed structured preparation.

Entrance knowledge and ideas about continents of pupils of younger school age

This diploma thesis deals with the level of entry knowledge and ideas about continents of pupils of younger school age. The aim of this thesis is to investigate complex ideas and knowledge of pupils about continents through a single research conducted in the fourth and fifth grades of three primary schools. The research date is further analysed. It will focus on the source from which children learn the information; quality, accuracy, character, extent of this knowledge, and the emotional plane of cognition and preconception. The evaluation of the research as well as the key task of the work is to analyze the difference of pupils' results by individual schools, to compare the results of the fourth and fifth grades and, last but not least, to compare the level of knowledge of boys and girls. The result of the didactic application of research data, in the practical part of the thesis, is the creation of educational material in the form of project teaching for the fourth and fifth grades of primary schools. The content of the thesis is structured into five sub-units. The research part is preceded by the theoretical part, containing the theoretical starting points of the thesis and discussion with the literature related to the given issue. The second, methodological part, introduces the subject, course and processing of the research, including applied research methods and methods used in the practical part of the thesis. The core of the work is the research part which summarizes the collected data and informs about the results of the survey. The research is followed by the practical part which includes the proposal of own project teaching for the fourth and fifth grade of primary school. The final part confirms and rejects the input hypotheses of the research.

Implementation and Evaluation of Project-based Education at Elementary School

The thesis Water is Life describes the natural science project realized over seven years at elementary school in Chrudim. The theoretical part is dedicated to comparison of the transmissive and constructive-based teaching. It also defines the terms: project, project- based teaching, projective method and research-based teaching. Further chapters deal with contrasting the project-based teaching with integrated theme-based teaching and implementation of the topic Water in the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. The analytical part of the thesis describes the process of realization of the Water is Life project from the methodology to the final evaluation. It also employs critical analysis of the project with emphasis on "projectivity" of the projects and necessity of following the basic criteria for the project-based teaching. The main aim of this thesis is to describe the problematic parts and the possible alterations of the described project. DIPLOMOVÁ PRÁCE Project teaching on the regional history of the town of Dobříš in the 20th century Gita Otavová Abstract Diploma thesis deals with the project teaching and regional history of the town of Dobříš. The research part of the thesis contains proposal of project teaching on the topic of the history of the town of Dobříš in the 20th century. Pupils explored regional history of the town and architecture and regional monuments located in the town and it is surroundings especially. Pupils revealed how these sites have changed during the 20th century. They compared the history development with the present situation of the buildings. They explored for example the castle of Vargač, the chateau of Dobříš, so-called Cultural House, House and Gym of Sokol Association, secondary school building and Kopáček's house. Application of dramatics education to project based instruction

The diploma thesis on the topic "Application of dramatics education to project based education" is dedicated to various strategies towards interconnection of dramatics education and project based education, which are assessed in scope of benefits of these strategies for pupils. The methods are shown on three practical examples. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the term dramatics education; it defines its principles and goals and classifies the methods it uses. Furthermore it describes possibilities of the methods and their use in individual education fields and in cross-sectional topics of the Framework Education Program for the First Section of Elementary Education. Then the diploma thesis discusses basic characteristics of project education and defines different possibilities how to interconnect dramatics education and project education. The practical part is based on the principles of teachers' action research. It comes with a comprehensive description of three projects which were integrated into a low-class schools' education. Projektové vyučování ve výuce historických témat v hodinách výchovy k občanství (Pracovní tábor Terezín)

This diploma thesis focuses on project teaching method in "civic education" classes, which are focused on history. The contemporary calls for the elimination of fact and positive approach to teaching are encouraged by project teaching method. Project teaching method organises itself in a new way, so the pupils do not have to listen to a lecture, watch demonstrations, remember the information and finally reproduce the received and remembered information. The thesis is divided into two parts, of which the first one is analytical and concerns itself with the essence of project teaching method and its history and use in "civic education" classes. The author is explains how an excursion should look like and how to organise it. An important part of the analytic part is the history of the Czech nazi work-camp called Terezin. In the second practical part, the author emphasises the actual in-class use of the previous findings. The author also incorporates the topic of holocaust into curriculums of certain schools and grades. Finally an excursion which particular schools undertook is described and evaluated via a quantitative questionnaire-based research.
