Financial analysis of the company OKD, a. s.

The goal of the following thesis is a comprehensive financial analysis of a coal mining company OKD, a. s. during the period 2006 -- 2010 based on publicly available information. In the introductory part of the thesis the analyzed company will be presented, its activities and further details. The theoretical part will provide us with closer explanation what it is financial analysis used for, its importance for users. It will also include an overview of the financial indicators used in the thesis and their methods of use. To such indicators and methods belong horizontal and vertical analysis, ratio analysis, bankruptcy and creditworthy models, EVA, and more. The main objective of this work will be a comprehensive assessment of the financial situation of the analyzed company based on the application of the financial indicators, methods and interpretation of the achieved results. In the final part of the work I will evaluate the overall explanatory power of financial indicators during the period.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of the company FORD MOTOR COMPANY, s. r. o. by using financial analysis and finding how much the company was influenced by the financial crisis. The whole work is divided into three sections. The first section is named methodical and this part is focused on the explanation of the subject, purpose, sources and the methods of the financial analysis. In the second part is introduced the company and the information about development and situation on the market. In the third part we can find the practical financial analysis for the last three years including ratio indicators, horizontal and vertical analysis and bankruptcy and credibility models. In conclusion are summarized finding of the whole work and there is estimation when the company was the most influenced by the crisis.

Secondary target of this thesis was application of the Harry Pollak method.It is new young method that measures vitality of the enterprise. Method is focused on comprehensive evaluation of the business entity.

The aim of my bachelor thesis is the external financial analysis of the company Mlékárna Hlinsko, ltd. for the period 2005 - 2008. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first section describes the importance of financial analysis in general. Further I characterize the users, sources of information and basic methods of financial analysis. The second section is devoted to analysing the company through various methods of financial analysis. The methods that I used are horizontal and vertical analysis, ratio analysis, net working capital, analysis of system parameters and models of bankruptcy and financial standing. At the conclusion of this thesis I recapitulate the findings of the analysis and outline the future development of the company.

The main objective of my graduation theses is to analyze the financial and economic situation of Aero Vodochody Corporation between 2005 and 2009. Another goal is to review the entrance of the strategic owner into Corporation in 2007 including its steps taken during the restructuring of the company. I am focusing on the theoretical fundamentals of my financial analysis and its defined basics of method in the first part of my theses. Those are applied in second part of theses. Results of economics situation of corporation is summarized in conclusion of this theses.

The aim of the bachelor thesis named "Financial analysis of Nestlé Česko Corporation, Inc" was to evaluate property, pension and financial situation of the company. The work is divided into three parts -- methodical, practical and conclusion. Methodical part aims generally at absolute, differential and ratio indicators. The point of practical part is application of theoretically obtained knowledge about factual corporation which was analyzed between years 2007 and 2009. The analyzed corporation is introduced in the beginning of the practical part. There is also conducted analysis of balance sheet of corporation along with familiarization with the rival corporation. The rest of the practical part is dedicated to the indicators of profitability, liquidity, activity, cost and also to the bankruptcy and creditworthy models which reveal financial fitness of the corporation. Conclusion of the work is dedicated to the evaluation of property and financial situation and to the whole summarization of facts from analyzed field.

This graduation thesis contains an economic analysis of the BM MOTO, s.r.o. corporate entity. The aim is to perform a detailed analysis of its financial health in relation to an undergone investment as well as recommend a set of changes that would lead to an improvement of its financial performance. The thesis is divided into two main parts, the first of which being the methodological part, where all the applied models and processes are mentioned and explained. The second part applies these models on the chosen company. The second part is founded predominantly on accounting statements and also makes use of a bulk of internal data. The thesis also contains a detailed analysis of both absolute and relative indicators. Amongst the applied models belong the Du Pont analysis, the analysis of the Economic Value Added (EVA), bankruptcy and creditworthy models and an inter industry comparative analysis. The conclusion summarizes and evaluates all the results and presents an appropriate recommendation.

The first part is devoted to a methodology of the financial analysis, the other part applies these methods on the Westvaco company. The results are compared with the other companies in the MeadWestvaco corporation and also with the avereges in the industry.
