Musical-pedagogical work of Emil Hradecký and its application in pre-school education

The diploma thesis deals with musical-pedagogical work of Emil Hradecký. The theoretical part is focused on the personality and music creation of Emil Hradecký and briefly characterizes the piano composition. Furthermore, the work focuses on the issues of musical development of a preschool child, describes musical activities and explains the musical-educational process from the Framework Educational Programme for Preschool Education, MŠMT ČR. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey of kindergarten teachers, whose main aim is to find out the teachers' use of the music-pedagogical work of Emil Hradecký in their pedagogical work. The partial goals map the subjective attitudes of kindergarten teachers to the inclusion of musical activities in practice and find out which specific music materials from E. Hradecky these teachers know and how they prefer to work with them. The next aim of the thesis is to design the model situations in which the piano miniatures of Emil Hradecký are used in kindergarten in musical and other aesthetic-educational activities. The influence of music and the development of musicality in children up to 6 years

The bachelor thesis describes the musical development of the child from the beginning of the mother's pregnancy to the age of six years. It focuses mainly on musical influences, which can be both positive and negative. The theoretical part is focused on explanation of basic terms, such as musicality, musical activities, musical abilities, skills, habits and talents, rhythmic feeling and music memory. The work also deals with the outline of musical activities in the child's life from birth to the end of pre-school education. In the practical part there are basic data about two different kindergartens, in which activities with children aged three to six years were realized. A brief description of these musical activities is also part of the work. The main aim of the thesis is to observe children during their musical activities and to develop their musicality. The work includes reflections and musical notes.
Use of rhymes and poems during music and movement activities at pre - school

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of rhymes and poems in musical and physical activities of children in kindergarten and is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part consists of two chapters. The first chapter deals with music education in kindergarten and describes the characteristics of children of preschool age regarding music, motivation of children's musical performance, playing musical instruments in kindergarten, music and movement in the life of the child and the importance of music for the development of the child. The second chapter concerns musical education and is divided into singing, instrumental, musical and listening activities. In the practical part there are elaborated suggestions for musical activities using rhymes and poems that are focused on seasons of the year. Musical activities aimed at winter were included in the research and realized with preschool children in kindergartens in České Budějovice, Humpolec and Jindřichův Hradec. During the realization, the observation method and an interview were used, also a detailed evaluation took place during the realization. Additional proposals for musical activities for spring, summer and autumn based on the results of the research are included.
Music Activities and Development of Graphomotory

The topic of the diploma thesis is the use of musical activities in the development of graphomotoric skills of preschool children. The theoretical section is focused on harmonising of music and movement on the level of gross and fine motoric skills. This diploma thesis analyses the musical aspect of the Czech version of the Good Start Method. The practical section presents new lessons developing graphomotoric skills with a central focus on musical and instrumental activities. The thesis provides a report on the aims, methods and progress of the field research in the preparatory classes of primary school. Part of the process is basic research into the received tempo of two songs from the Good Start Method. Musical activities in the bilingual kindergarten

ABSTACT This bachelor's thesis deals with musical activities in a bilingual kindergarten with a special focus on singing. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first theoretical part primarily compares the differences between German and Czech children' songs. It also describes specific aspects of musical activities and their role in acquiring a language, speech and communication abilities. Later follows clarification of the language and communication importance among pre-school children. Furthermore, in form of suggestions we discuss the conception of bilingual and multilingual communication between parents and a child. Also, within the theoretical part there is a section regarding contemporary legislation, terminology and institutions which deal with that problematic. The practical research comprises of formulating the research aims and used methods and of describing the sample kindergarten and the process as well as the results of the active research that focused on realization of musical activities. The thesis sets several aims. Firstly, it surveys what type of musical activities are suitable for a bilingual kindergarten environment and how to effectively engage the children in these activities. Music activities at a nursery school and the options of their utilisation for children with special needs

The bachelor´s work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is dedicated to the education in the kindergarten with emphasis on the Framework Education Programme for Preschool Education. In this part there is an analysis of the above-mentioned document from the perspective of the presence of musical activities in the kindergarten. Furthermore, I address the musical activities in the pre-primary education which are divided into four parts. The last chapter is dedicated to the child with special needs. In the practical part there is a quantitative research the results of which are the processed and evaluated questionnaires that were sent out to the kindergartens (ordinary as well as special ones) with the children with special needs. Next point of this work is my own proposal of music and movement activities which serves as an inspirational material for the kindergarten teachers.
Use of musical activities for moral values strengthening of children in kindergarten

This Bachelor Thesis The use of musical activities to strengthen moral values of children in nursery schools focuses on the ways of implementation of musical activities in nursery schools to acquire the fundamentals of moral values. In the theoretical part of this work is further described the definition of the term moral values, characterization of particular values and upbringing to the right values in contemporary society. Moreover, the Thesis aims at various types of musical activities in nursery school. Furthermore, the specification of preschool education is described in regards to age-heterogeneous class in nursery school, the evaluation of the education programme for preschool education and the pedagogical evaluation of the children´s moral values in nursery schools. In the practical part of the Thesis there is created the musical activities program supporting acquirement of the fundamentals of moral values. The musical activities program is realised in the age-heterogeneous class in a nursery school and is evaluated according to a prepared evaluation plan. In this case is used the method of structural observation. Besides the exploration of the options of musical activities implementation to acquire fundamentals of moral values there is also researched how all these activities can influence the children´s behaviour in the group.
Musical activities in nursery school focused on children at two and three years

The thesis deals with the musical activities of two-year and three-year-old children in kindergarten. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of two-year and three-year-old children, the inclusion of two-year-old children in kindergarten, the importance of music and the child's musical development. It also deals with musical activities focusing on two-year and three-year-old children. The practical part of the work was focused on the research of particular musical activities in the kindergarten of the above mentioned age group from the point of view of the teachers and also on the musical environment in family. The research was conducted in the form of an interview with kindergarten teachers, a questionnaire survey among the parents of these children, and an analysis of songs and songbooks for the youngest children. The main objective was to find out how teachers perform musical activities with children, and what they see as the biggest differences between two- and three-year-old children. Next goal was to find out if parents work with children in this area and how. Whether the selected sample of songbooks contains songs of the appropriate range and pitch and whether they contain examples of possible instrumental and musical involvement of the children.
