The diploma thesis " Support and Protection of Foreign Investments in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria" adresses the issue of analysis of current situation, role and importance of investment incentives in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. It focuses on investment environment in the two countries and its influence on investors' decision making. It deals with the question whether investment incentives are necessary or they cause market distortion and discriminate.
Analysis of investment incentives in the Russian Federation

This work is devoted to the definition of the system of investment incentives in the Russian Federation. The aim of this work is objective description and analysis of the existing system of investment incentives at the federal and regional levels. The effectiveness of investment incentives is assessed from the perspective of the investment climate in the Russian Federation. The introductory part is devoted to the definition of the investment climate in Russia in terms of current economic development and foreign investments. The final section assesses the effect of the incentive system in terms of its influence on the development of regional GDP and investment flows with the example of Lipeck region.
The Influence of Foreign Direct Investments on the External Balance of an Economy (the Example of the Czech Republic)

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the influence of foreign direct investment on selected indicators of the external balance of the Czech Republic. The first part focuses on the definition of foreign direct investment forms, motivation for realization and a financial life cycle of investments. The second part characterizes investment incentives, including their positives and negatives, and the role of the CzechInvest Agency. The third part is dedicated to the balance of payments. The last part analyses the impact of foreign direct investment on selected entries of the balance of payments and particularly on current account. It also analyses the overall efect on the external balance.
French and Belgian Investment in Regions of the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis focuses on foreign direct investment (FDI) coming to different regions of the Czech Republic. This investment play a crucial role in socioeconomic development of the country and therefore it is an important part of regional development policies. Thesis concentrates on French and Belgian investors and its aim is to determine the key factors that influence the localization of FDI coming from France and Belgium to regional economies of the Czech Republic. In the first chapter theoretical data concerning this topic is introduced, followed by closer description of development of FDI in the Czech Republic in general. At this point the investment coming from France and Belgium that is supported by the agency CzechInvest is stressed. The final part is dedicated to different regions of the country. Based on analytic, cartographic and statistical methods, localization factors with a great influence on French and Belgian investors when choosing the area to invest in are determined.
Strategic Industrial Zone Holešov

This thesis comprises the analysis of the issue concerning industrial parks in the Czech Republic with a major focus on the Strategic industrial zone Holešov. There is a description of establishment and support of industrial zones in the Czech Republic in the introductory part, afterwards being followed by the specification of the strategic industrial zones. Further is mentioned the basic socioeconomic characterization of the Zlín district. The practical part is then devoted directly to the Strategic industrial zone Holešov -- to the reasons which led to its establishment, to the particular stages of its development and subsequently to the possible outcomes it may have when being fully or minimally occupied. Parts of this work are also the basic over viewing information about the direct foreign investments and the investment incentives.

The object of this thesis is "Promotion of small and medium enterprises". Especially the area of investment incentives, strategic industrial zones and in large scale concept of Special Economic Zones, which is normally present in the world nowadays. It is no secret that China has built its economic miracle and legend on this concept, following the example of Ireland, a country which is classically considered as the first protagonist in the history of Special Economic Zones. Not only proper management shows its path to international success on the field of economic experiments, it appears that this is a sophisticated tool that has proven responsible for raising living standards in undeveloped and underdeveloped areas of the world.

This Bachelor's thesis is about the investment climate in India. The first chapter explains important theoretical terms concerning this topic. The second chapter describes both historical and current aspects which are involved in forming investment climate. Indian economy and its involvement in international trade are also characterized in this chapter. The third chapter evaluates the investment climate as such. It introduces important reforms, industry restrictions, barriers to entry to the Indian market, and investment promotion agencies. It also provides information about foreign direct investments in India. The last part of this thesis is dedicated to investment opportunities for foreign investors.

This thesis is dedicated to a very interesting topic - it is an investment activity. Investments are the basis of economic development and growth of living standards. Foreign investments are therefore a source for further economic growth. The author of this work focused on exploring investment in the country where she was born, it is Belarus. About the investment in that territory is not talked much, which could be caused by the local political situation. But Belarus is quite popular between Russian investors. The work is divided into several parts. The first part is theoretical and methodological, describes the general knowledge and concepts related to investment. In the practical part, the author describes the investment rules in Belarus and gives quite detailed information about the investment climate in the country. The thesis ends with an indication of practical recommendations for investment in Belarus.
Economy of Celtic Tiger: Foreign Direct Investment Issue

This diploma thesis deals with investment incentives and their effect on the economy of Ireland in historical and contemporary context. The introduction focuses on the general issue of foreign direct investment and investment incentives. After the summary of geographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the state the work describes an economic development of Ireland from 17 century to the present, especially the important historical events and their influence on the Irish economy. In the main part of this thesis, which is focused on the Irish investment incentives, are listed the general factors of the Irish economy in the form of so-called comparative advantages (high mobility and high skills of workforce, low labor costs) including specific benefits for U.S. investors (culture similarity, no language barrier, favorable geographic location, quality infrastructure) and economic and political measures in the field of direct investment, that Ireland has implemented to attract foreign investors (building of modern telecommunications infrastructure, the international experience of workforce and the establishing of organizations to promote foreign direct investment). Next the work analyses development of investment incentives from the beginning of their application in the 70th of the 20th century through the industrial "boom" in the 90th of the 20th century to the present, focusing on those of them that were key for the development of the Irish economy (taxes on income, efficient infrastructure, a flexible labor market, etc.). Consequently, there is a given forecast of Ireland in the coming years. There is evaluated the impact of investment incentives on the development of the Irish economy and outlined the direction in which the incentives in Ireland will take in the near future.

The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of investment "Finalization of waterway of Vltava in section České Budějovice {--} Týn nad Vltavou" in the South Bohemia region. The aim of this work is the analysis of the impact of this investment on region from macroeconomic and microeconomic perspectives. The other aim of work is basic presentation of the investment, the progress of cost benefit analysis and identification of benefits, which will be brought by the investment to South Bohemia region.
